Important News/Reminders, November 12th, 2017

Just a reminder that Sunday, November 19th at kickoff of the 1 o'clock games is the player signing deadline. At that time you may no longer sign free agent nor activate players from your practice squad. You may still claim whatever players are still on waivers at that time however any players subsequently cut via a waiver claim will not go on waivers but rather be ineligible for a roster spot for the remainder of the season.

This is an email that for the last few days I've been trying to avoid writing and hoping I wouldnt have to write but knew eventually I would have to and at the request of a family member I'm gonna keep this short and to the point.

For reasons I have been asked by family not to disclose George is currently in the hospital and will be there for the forseeable future. He is greatly in need of our prayers right now so if you could say a prayer for him that'd be fantastic. He is unable to in any way run his team right now so until he is able to we will be using the yahoo weekly fantasy rankings to set his lineup effective starting next week, week 10. No player transactions, signings or cuts, will take place. At this point for this week I will carry over his lineup for last week from last weeks game.

Thanks,

Jerry

I'll start off with saying that the FFL website is now updated. Any errors please let me know. Now onto business... I screwed up at the end of draft day yesterday. There are at least 2 occasions where players got cut and I did not add them to the free agency bag, slipped my mind while updating the spreadsheet, thus we never got to bid on those players as we should have (nor was it requested that we ignore these players and continue). The two players are Demaryius Thomas and Chiefs Defense (which I realize is a group of players). I do not feel it is fair to throw them into free agency with everybody else so therefore here is my solution.

From now until the end of the day on Tuesday you may place a bid to me thru email on The Chiefs Defense if you want them. You can give me your max bid and then come Wednesday morning whoever bid the most will get them. It will be like ebay whree if your high bid is 10 million and the next highest bid is 2 million you get them for 2.5. I'm considering this an extension of draft day meaning that since James cut them he is not allowed to partake in this and I'm also removing myself from the biddings since I'm the one who screwed things up. In the event that the high bid is the same for multiple teams then the team out of that group that is highest on the waiver order will get them. When placing your bid you must also let me know who you will cut if you get the player (if it's necessary to cut somebody) and since this is being considered an extension of draft day you may not cut anybody who you signed on draft day.

After we've figured out who gets Chiefs Defense (if anybody) then we will move on to Demaryius Thomas. In this instance since Derek cut him he will not be allowed to partake in bidding nor will I since once again I screwed up. You will have until the end of the day on Wednesday to place your bid for Demaryius Thomas and then on Thursday morning I will announce who got him.

In both of these case you will receive the player for 3 years.

If you need to cut money to place a bid you must email the whole league of your player cut as you normally would. Remember you can not bid more money than you have.

From now thru Wednesday the only things you're allowed to do are cut players not signed on draft day and place bids which need to be sent to me only.

After this has been sorted out the league will re-open for business at 3:35 AM on Friday morning. At that time you may cut anybody, sign free agents, make trades etc. Any emails time stamped prior to 3:35 AM on Friday morning that I receive will not be accepted. Early bird gets the worm here.

I apologize for this inconvenience and screw up and hope you understand and are satisfied with my solution.

In a final note any players cut at this time will go onto the waiver list even though I'm considering this an extension of draft day if we kept bidding on those players it could take forever to get the league back re-opened to normal.
