Quote of the Moment

"No matter what I do, no matter how hard I try, it's the ones I love who will always be the ones who pay. I want a life of my own...I'm Spider-Man no more!"
- Peter Parker, Spider-Man 2

Television can be so great, in fact I believe that it is just as good if not better than other forms of entertainment such as movies and novels. On this page you will find information, my thoughts, and more on all of my favourite shows. I only have a few so scroll down and look at them. Hopefully you watch these amazing series already and if you don't, then start to because trust me, you don't know what you're missing. Also, at the very bottom of the page is The Lineup where you can see all of the shows that I currently follow and what rating I gave to each and every one.

Tale: Before the legend...before the icon...there was a teenager named Clark Kent. Clark doesn't wear glasses, there's no suit and he can't fly. Between the boy he thought he was and the man he is destined to become are the stories of Smallville. Now beginning its third season on The WB, this new interpretation of the enduring Superman mythology and its classic characters blends realism and adventure into an all new exciting action series.

Players: Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, Sam Jones III, Allison Mack, John Glover, Annette O'Toole, and last but not least John Schneider

Times: Canada: Tuesdays at 8:00pm on CityTV
|||||||| United States: Wednesdays at 8:00pm on The WB

My Thoughts: Smallville is the best show or at least one of the very best shows that I have ever watched! It is no wonder that I decided to put it as the first show on this page. No other program has made me feel more exhilarated, excited, and just plain happy time after time, some of the episode endings between Clark and Lana are just so well done and beautiful. When a show can do this for you, can make you feel the emotions mentioned above its simply an awesome experience that I personally wish happened to me more often because it just makes life worth living. Of course there are so many other worthwhile things in life but television can be truly great and some shows are really worth watching like this one. To be truthful though, I actually did not like the show when it first came out, I thought it was silly because I never liked Superman because he was just well...too super. I am so glad that my sister Kimberly got me into the show because I really enjoy watching it now, oh I can't believe I missed all of those first season episodes! As I've said, I love this show and I truly do hope that the third season of it will be just as good or even better than the past two.

Tale: Thirtysomething Lorelai Gilmore has made her share of mistakes in life, but she has been doing her best to see that her daughter - and best friend in the world - Rory, doesn't follow in her footsteps. That may be easier said than done, considering that the two share the same interests, the same intellect, the same coffee addiction and the same eyes. Rory is more serious than Lorelai, but there are tendencies, especially in the love department, that clearly indicate she is her mother's daughter. From the beginning, this unique mother-daughter team has been growing up together. Lorelai was just Rory's age when she became pregnant and made the tough decision to raise her baby alone. This defiant move - along with Lorelai's fiercely independent nature - caused a rift between her and her extremely proper, patrician, old-money parents, Emily and Richard. However, Lorelai was forced to reconcile with them when she found herself in desperate need of money for Rory's tuition. Thus this is how the story begins in this critically accliamed series where the Gilmore Girls have to constantly conquer new challenges (hey it is a television show) that come up in their lives.

Players: Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Edward Herrmann, Melissa McCarthy, Keiko Agena, Liza Weil, Yanic Truesdale, Sean Gunn, Chris Eigeman

Times: Canada: Wednesdays at 9:00pm on Global
|||||||| United States: Tuesdays at 8:00pm on The WB

My Thoughts: Once again this is exactly the same story as Smallville...and almost everything else in my life. My wonderful sister introduced me to this series, which I originally thought was stupid and silly of course. When in fact it was most certainly not. I watched one episode and quite liked it, that is how it all began. Gilmore Girls is the only show that I follow like Smallville and in some ways it's even better than my favourite series. It is very smart, incredibly quick (the characters speak unbelievably fast), clever, witty, and sometimes downright funny. The two young women, Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, are very pretty which is yet another positive to the series. It's too bad that it is most likely one of the most underrated shows on television today. Well...actually this isn't bad at all in my mind since I have no thick individuals to ruin it for me like Smallville. I can tape a new episode and not watch it for weeks without knowing a single detail which is exactly what you want in that situation. Anyhow, I simply wanted to share this great program with everyone as well and I hope that those of you that don't watch it will give it a chance, believe me you will not have any regrets.
