One of the things that I love are movies, anybody who knows me knows this. It's the amazing pictures like The Lord of the Rings and Spider-Man that make films a worthwhile thing. There's just nothing quite like a great movie that can make you feel so many different emotions: happiness, excitement, sadness, anger, fear and so on in only several hours time. On this page you will find the latest news with information and pictures of films that I am most looking forward to whether that are coming up, in theatres, or on DVD. I hope that you enjoy this page and will watch these films when they do come out in the following months and years. Go to the very bottom of the page to reach The Archive where you can see most of the films that I have ever watched (Hey! I can't remember all of them!) and what rating I gave to each and every one. The ones that have a link means that I have written a review for that particular film so what are you waiting for? Go read it now!

My Thoughts: It is one of the greatest stories ever told in cinematic history and on May 19th, the circle will finally be complete. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away….I remember when Episode I - The Phantom Menace first came out almost six years ago (wow…I’m old) and the incredible hype surrounding it. I had no idea what was going on because I was only twelve years old and did not know what Star Wars truly was as I had never seen any of the films from the Original Trilogy. I was soon to find out and it has affected my life ever since. Although the first prequel was, admittedly, boring and annoying, I quite enjoyed all three original episodes, which I subsequently watched soon after. I also love Episode II - Attack of the Clones so much that I have now seen it dozens of times. Hmm…it must be Natalie and Hayden.
With less than two months before Episode III is released, my question for you is: Can you feel the excitement? The anticipation is reaching a fever pitch, as it should since this is the very last Star Wars film that we will ever see on the silver screen. Coming off of the momentum from the fantastic Episode II, this film is going to rule the summer of 2005. From the images and trailers that I have seen, Revenge of the Sith will be darker, more violent, and incredibly emotional. I just watched the brand-new trailer last night and it is utterly awesome, which bodes well for the final chapter in the greatest space opera ever created. With the first PG-13 rating in the entire series, Episode III will reach the potential that these films have always had. Mark my words: This will be the best chapter in the entire saga. The Revenge Begins.

On DVD
Plot: It has been two years since the mild-mannered Peter Parker first began struggling with "the gift and the curse," and in Spider-Man 2, he's still coming to terms with his dual identity as the web-slinging crime superhero Spider-Man. Now Peter's in college, and his relationships with the people he cares most about are crumbling. He wants to reveal his secret identity to Mary Jane, his friendship with Harry Osborn is stressed by Harry's growing hatred of Spider-Man, and Peter's Aunt May has fallen on hard times. When a foe, Dr. Otto Octavius, appears, both Peter and Spidey face a new and dangerous villain.
Cast: Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Alfred Molina, James Franco, Rosemary Harris, J.K. Simmons
Director: Sam Raimi
Release Date: July 2nd, 2004
My Thoughts: One of the best movies that I have ever watched is Spider-Man, second only to The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. It was the most highly-anticipated film for me, I couldn't sleep at night or even in class because I was waiting for it (now that's what I call obsession). It was simply an amazing film and one of the greatest cinematic experiences that I have ever had, that day was simply incredible because I spent it with my best friend Benjamin. The final gritty battle between Spidey and the Green Goblin and the heartbreaking scene between Peter Parker and Mary Jane will live with me forever. I just finished watching the first trailer for Spider-Man 2, one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2004, several times and it was absolutely fantastic! By the end of viewing it I had goosebumps each and every time, it definitely jumpstarts the anticipation for the movie. You are able to watch an entire scene which is simply beautiful and awesome, from what you see in the teaser you can expect much more action, fun, and heartbreak from our favourite superhero! With the always good Tobey Maguire returning in the title role, Kristen Dunst as MJ, Alfred Molina as mad scientist Dr. Octopus, and director Raimi back this sequel could be just as good as the original.

Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Michael Gambon, Gary Oldman, Michael Gambon, Timothy Spall, David Thewlis, Dawn French, Emma Thompson
Director: Alfonso Cuarón
Release Date: June 4th, 2004
My Thoughts: This the third installment in one of the most highly popular and lucrative film franchises ever. With most of the original cast back with a few new players particularly Gary Oldman and a new director, it seems like this will be the best movie yet. Adapted from the even more well-known third novel in the series written by J.K Rowling, many have said that it's the best book. Personally it's actually one of my least favourite believe it or not but that doesn't mean the film won't be great. Judging by the very cool and slightly different teaser trailer, this chapter will be decidedly darker than its previous predecessors. Hopefully it will be just as good since the original two were quite well-received by both critics and the fans. I love the novels and have been liking the movies, I truly hope that this trend will continue with the release of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Plot: This is the final chapter in Peter Jackson's epic adaptation of the famous J.R.R. Tolkien fantasy trilogy which follows hobbits Frodo and Sam as they push even farther into the land of Mordor to destroy the One Ring that rules them all. Still traveling with them, in an uneasy alliance, is the deceitful Gollum, who brings them to the very heart of Mount Doom. The warrior Aragorn is revealed to be the lost King of Gondor in this film hence the title The Return of the King. He travels to Minis Tirith with an army of undead soldiers and the remaining members of the fellowship, Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, Merry, and Pippin, to rescue the ancient city from Lord Sauron's grasp.
Cast: Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, John Rhys-Davies, Cate Blanchett, Liv Tyler, Christopher Lee
Director: Peter Jackson
Release Date: December 17th, 2003
My Thoughts: The Lord of the Rings trilogy will most likely be the best or one of the greatest that I will ever have the pleasure of watching for the rest of my life. Although I do hope that there will be more incredible films coming in the following years. The Fellowship of the Ring was the best cinematic experience that I have ever had. I wanted the movie to go on without ending and when it did I wanted to buy a ticket and watch it again right away, this is the ONLY film that has ever made me want to do that. The Two Towers was amazing as well but not as good as the original which is fine since I didn't expect it to be. Now it is time for the final chapter of the trilogy to be told (where does the time go?) and to tell you the truth, I kind of don't want it to be released because after it is that's the end of The Lord of the Rings. Hopefully Peter Jackson and company have saved the best for last, which I truly believe they have.
