Splash Pages

Only have a splash page if you actually need one. This would include pages that have pop up sites, two different versions of their site (for different resolutions), or sites that have the option of music or no music. Otherwise, a splash page is just an annoying extra page to get through and may cause people not to enter your site.

Color Scheme

I beg you... Please use colors that match and DON'T use different colors on every page... You will loose mucho points on this one... Pick a color combo and STICK with it.

Music

WHile you may think the song on your main page is beautiful, others may not. They are annoying and if someone is listening to music and is interupted by your website's blaring music, all they are going to do is leave your site.
