Illinois 19 is an east-west route running from Elgin to the City of Chicago, in which the route is known as Irving Park Road. It starts in eastern Kane County, passes through the southwest corner of the northern section of Cook County, runs through part of DuPage County, and passes O'Hare Airport as it enters Cook County again.

Intersections from west to east:

IL25 at Elgin

IL59 where Streamwood meets Bartlett

IL53 at Itasca**

IL83 at Bensenville

US12-20-45, a.k.a. Mannheim Rd.

I-294 toward/from the north*

IL171 (Cumberland Ave) at Norridge

IL43 (Harlem Ave) in Chicago

IL50 (Cicero Ave) in Chicago

I-90/94 in Chicago

US41 (Lake Shore Drive) in Chicago.

It passes through these towns: Elgin, Streamwood, Hanover Park, Schaumburg, Itasca, Wood Dale, Bensenville, Schiller Park, Norridge, and Chicago.

*-Traffic from IL19 can only access the northbound lanes of I-294, and only traffic coming from the north on I-294 can access IL19.

**-IL19 does not have access to I-290. When travelling on IL19, you can head north on IL53 to Thorndale Ave, go east a little ways, and make it onto I-290 or I-355 that way.
