RELATIVE. Florine, Uranium, & Nitrogen (F.U.N.) dating. The various ratios of florine, nitrogen, and uranium increase and decrease over time. This can be tested in the bones. The ratios indicate relative dates, as to something newer or older.
This was useful in the case of the Piltdown Man. Two skull fragments were found and thought to be the 'missing link' between ape and man. F.U.N. testing showed that one piece was much older than the other.
