Aged Lady Minister DiedMrs. Mary Jane Vinson Lake age ninety-two a pioneer citizen of this community died at the home of her daughter in Veedersburg on Wednesday of last week. Infirmities of old age caused her death.
She was a widely known woman of the county and was an ordained Minister of the " Christain Church", having built two churches one at Hedrick the other at Fountain. The Hedrick church was destroyed by a cyclone several years ago.
Mrs. Lake was born April 26, 1835 the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Zephaniah Wilkins in Marion County Ohio. She with her parents came to Fountain County when a child and since that time has always resided in the Veedersburg vicinity.
She was twice married, first to George Vinson who died thirty-six years ago. Her second husband was Israel Lake who died six years ago.
The funeral was Sunday afternoon at 1:30 O'clock at Osborn Prairie church-burial in church cemetery.
