Independence is not free,
Many suffer and die for thee;
Soldiers have fought in many wars,
Do you wonder what they die for?

Freedom's cost is pain and tears,
But we do not live in fear;
To church we go as we desire,
Our minds and souls to set afire.

So, our country we should love,
It's a gift from the Lord above;
Fly your flag proudly high,
And thank your Lord with a sigh.

Thank any vet that you see,
He's the one who paid the fee;
Pray for families who lost someone,
That their race is finished and done.

The red, white and blue means free,
We have rights, we speak freely;
Pride in our country is a must,
In our God we place our trust.

No, freedom is not free,
The price that's paid I hope you see;
I pray you appreciate the gift,
And your patriotism finds a lift.
