All alone and on her own,
Two children she has to raise;
Helping with homework fills her nights,
Elderly fill up her days.

Her soul mate is gone,
A great love they shared;
She sometimes cries,
It just isn't fair.

A new life she builds,
Because life goes on;
The pain she has suffered,
Has made her strong.

In God, Tessie trusts,
As did her man;
They knew He'd provide,
The best for His plan.

Tessie is a great mom,
Love, her children know;
And with her quiet guidance,
Her children will surely grow.

Tessie is independent,
She stands on her own;
But she can now ask for help,
When she feels all alone.

My middle girl she is,
And I love her with heart;
I want to ease her pain,
Give her a brand new start.

I'm proud of my girl,
So strong she has grown;
I might have prepared her better,
If only I had known.

Life goes on day after day,
And my girl will do fine;
She is one I take pride in,
This middle child of mine.

Theresa Ann, or Tessie, whichever you prefer is my second daughter. In 2004, she lost her beloved husband to cancer. The experience left her heartbroken but much stronger. Tessie is moving on with her life. She has two children to raise. She wants to keep their father's memory alive for them but also let them see they will be fine without him here on this earth. They all know that Billy will live forever in their hearts.
