TREATMENT OF NEPHROTIC SYNDROEM

Treatment generally focuses on reducing high cholesterol, blood pressure and protein in urine by diet, medication or both of them.

Diet:

  The immune system is weakened by using nephrotic syndrome medication, so children should not receive live vaccines.

  If your child gets chickenpox and has not already had the vaccine, the vaccine may be recommended.
