Thoroughbreds
The average height of today's Thoroughbred is a little over 16 hands, as opposed to the 14-hand average height of the horses from which the breed originated. But the key word is "average."
Because, for every rule as to what the perfect Thoroughbred should look like, there is a champion whose performances disprove it.
Four slender legs must carry more than 1,000 pounds of body weight over extended distances, traveling at speeds of 35-40 miles per hour, yet still have the strength and suppleness to respond to changes of pace or direction as dictated by racing conditions. If there is one place where these attributes are reflected, it is the shape and carriage of the head and the look of the eye.
Originally bred for racing , they now also excel at dressage , eventing and show jumping . the speed, boldness and lightness of a TB put together with the elegance , skill , height and jumping/dressage ability of a WB would make an outstanding sport horse.

Different from the Orlov-Trotter, this elegant black once calvary horse came from an almost magical beginning. starting with Count Orlov, who bred Arabians, Akhal tekes and thoroughbreds to produce these elegant riding animals. All were schooled instensly in dressage and those not suitibul for his stable were culled. breedind best to best, a superior Russian horse emerged. After Orlovs rain, another guy Rostopchin developed his own black riding horse by crossing orientle stallions with Dons,Eng Thoroughbreds and Karabakh. He bred primarily for conformation and speed-he raised sucessful racehorses. The Orlov-Rostopchin was born and thrived as the superior riding horse until about 1917 were 4.5 million of them were killed in the world wars, in 1931 after it all only 9 purebreds could be found and Anglo Arabian and other similar Russian breeds were added to teh gene pool. But then, every horse at this particular studfarm were killed in the last war, leaving only 2 purebred stallions and a mare, were re-creation again started, using traks, arabs, tbs akhal tekes & orlov trotters. Todays Orlovs stand 16-16.2hh, predominitly black with large facial markings and markings above the knee are not tolerated.Three words best describe Orlov-Rostopchins: long, lean, and elegant. Senor Larko Our second Olympic show jumper, a great deal smaller than Twiggy (who isnt) and a little more muscular but still with a great deal of impusion , scope and jumping height.
Senor is usually quite high strung and can sometimes be hard to handle, but this has definitly faded with age, he used to be quite the devil when he was younger, but with every year he calms down and matures.

Larko will sire top jumpers and definitly eventers too as he could hav specialised in dressage. He will bring a lot of energy and a bit of attitude to your foal too, also with muscle.

Khe Sahn Khe Sahns an interesting stallion because aswell as being a racer, we suspect he will be a great eventer as well. At the moment he is proving to be a good little racer, I love his bloodlines, am a big fan of Diatribe and Intergaze (half brother) they were wiked racers and Khe's slowly getting there, seems to be a real allrounder distance wise, which is unusual, can adapt easily-prob favouring middle distance though.
Khe has been tried once in a steeplechase race and shocked us all by blitzing the field, a great ability to jump cleanly and strongly at speed.
