Missing In Action -
Still Missing Today

Missing in action, still missing today,
Where are the Veterans, the wars took away?
Do we still care, do we still want to know,
Whatever happened, to them long ago?

Does time erase, the men who were lost,
Fighting a war, at such a huge cost?
No way to put closure, to their life,
Leaving their families, full of strife.

Have we gotten immune,
we no longer mind,
The Missing in Action,
we never will find?
As the years pass,
time slips away,
Missing in Action,
Still Missing Today.

My Dream Everyday
By - - Sandra Kicklighter

My Dream Is:
Someday, in the future,
Our MIAs we will see.
Someday, in the future,
Our POWs will be free.

How could America, leave our Veterans behind,
An answer to this question, we never will find.
An accounting for the missing, really must be made,
By our government officials, for this terrible charade.

How can our government, rest while men are lost?
They must bring them home, no matter what the cost.
Why haven’t they demanded, our Veterans be sent home,
Where they may rest in peace, their souls no more to roam.

There’s answers to questions, that we will never know,
About too many Veterans, left behind on foreign shores.
As the years go by quickly, faith passes us by,
I fear we will never, see these Veterans alive.

Someday, in the future,
They will come home to rest.
Someday, in the future,
When America does its best,
Someday, in the future,
I hope I’m there to see,
America rise up and say,
Bring these Veterans home to me.

Another Year - Still Missing
By- - Sandra Kicklighter

Another year has passed them by,
Our POW’s are they still alive,
Our MIA’s left overseas,
Someday will they ever be free?

The years pass slowly day by day,
While here at home families pray,
For loved ones who were left behind,
In many wars enemy lines.

Will our government ever do what’s right,
And bring them home, without a fight?
Americans must stand up and say,
Bring these veterans back home today.

Time passes slowly, this is true,
While families wait to hear good news,
About their loved ones who are lost,
We must bring them home, whatever the cost.

Question why they were left behind,
And why the government does not find,
All these veterans left overseas,
Living on hopes, someday they’ll be free.
