Down Town - Front Street and Bus Station

        In the recent news section, we have been talking about going downtown. We go down pretty much every Sunday. You all may wonder about all of the most infamous spots in Harrisburg. Well thanks to Elliots blowed cam, we bring you just a few snap shots of the goodness.

Kevin with a mighty 3 flip

The Bus Station...Also known as the homeless hangout to all the locals. Not a lot goes down here, because all there really is, is the ledge and a few benches to ollie over. Across the street is a blowed spot, with marble ledges galore, and a manny pad. This is a hot spot downtown, because it is in the center of the city and is mainly used for meeting up with the crew.

Big Red Ledge Butter Ledges

Here is another hot spot. Red 7. There is about a ledge 4 feet high, home to a f/s flip by Kevin, and Josh's many unique tricks. It has a little runway and is good for beginners learning drops. Next we have 3 butter smooth red ledges. The first and last ones are waxed, so bring wax. They are about knee high and there is little gaps in the top of them, but not to worry, they dont affect your grind. Lastly, we have the Red 7. Roundish steps that have been ollied by all the members of STD. Dan and Adil hit kickflips, and Josh roast beefed it. There is a ramp heading up for runway, and a crack near the top, difficult for goofs, but it can be done.

Blue 5 5 Step Rail Blue 6
The Blues. They are actually a bank, so come Sunday so you don't get kicked out. They have perfect sets including a 5, 6, and a 9. The only problem is that there is a circular planter in the middle of the runway, but you can easily get around it. Victims of Kevin's kickflips and more of Josh's crazy tricks. The 5 and 6 rails are decent and have both been hit up by Dan's noseslides.

Huge Demon Set
Wow, get a look at this demon. This thing is huge. It has only been gotten by Mark, Dan, Adil, and Kevin. Josh came so close but the set got him that day. Anyway, the runway is perfect and there is good landing, but you go out in the street, so get someone to watch for traffic. Check out these spots and the ones soon to come.

Dauphin County Library

        The library is thought as of a place of quiteness. We ruined that with the discovery of skateable objects at such a gay place to be. This spot has been around since the beginning. It's definitely a favorite among the STD team and the general skating public. This is the historic spot of Jerry's nasty ass nosebleed, which I'm glad i didn't have to see, and his artistic side at the same time. Look for the STD inscribed into the ground at the bottom of the first ten step. Down to business ya little fuckers...

The 4 and 5 Steps 5 Step Rail The 2's
This place is da shit. At the very top at the front doors, there is a wheelchair ramp. This provides runway to the perfect line of stairs. The top is a five, then a four, the two two's at the bottom. This has been victim to Dan's consistent lines. Down the four and five are some decent rails.

Big Flat Big Double
In the very front there is a double set. It's a 2 flat 3 and has a three or four foot gap in the middle, Ollied by "excellent skateboarders" which are Mark and Kevin, and also Dan. It's a good one to learn on and kill if you're good. The only downside is the runway. It's fucking like 10 to 15 feet... absolutely nothing.

Can it be done? Hot Little One
There are a few gaps here, with one no one will ever get. It's over a 2 and 1/2 foot guardrail and over 10 feet of grass and concrete into a street. There is a lot of runway so bring a fucking metal saw and chop down that guradrail so people can do it. On the side of the library, there is a little gap. Its a fun one, with decent runway attacked by Dannys F/S flip.

Decent 8 Decent
The best is the eight set. It's not big, although it looks it with the fisheye which i must say is fucking butter. Victim to Dans, Marks, Josh's and Kevin's ollies. I think Adil did something to it so eat shit....im done.
