Holiday Music Lyrics by:lavanadahata420
Jingle Bells

Dashing through the snow
On a one-horse open sleigh,
Over the fields we go,
Laughing all the way;
Bells on bob-tail ring,
making spirits bright,
What fun it is to ride and sing
A sleighing song tonight
Jingle bells, jingle bells,
jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh

A day or two ago,
I thought I'd take a ride,
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side;
The horse was lean and lank;
Misfortune seemed his lot;
He got into a drifted bank,
And we, we got upset.
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
Jingle all the way!
What fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh.

A day or two ago,
the story I must tell
I went out on the snow
And on my back I fell;
A gent was riding by
In a one-horse open sleigh,
He laughed as there
I sprawling lie,
But quickly drove away.
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
Jingle all the way!
What fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh.

Now the ground is white
Go it while you're young,
Take the girls tonight
And sing this sleighing song;
Just get a bob-tailed bay
two-forty as his speed
Hitch him to an open sleigh
And crack! you'll take the lead.
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
Jingle all the way!
What fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
And a happy New Year.
Glad tidings we bring
To you and your kin;
Glad tidings for Christmas
And a happy New Year!

We want some figgy pudding
We want some figgy pudding
We want some figgy pudding
Please bring it right here!
Glad tidings we bring
To you and your kin;
Glad tidings for Christmas
And a happy New Year!

We won't go until we get some
We won't go until we get some
We won't go until we get some
So bring it out here!
Glad tidings we bring
To you and your kin;
Glad tidings for Christmas
And a happy New Year!

Winter Wonderland

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
in the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
we're happy tonight,
walking in a winter wonderland.

Gone away is the bluebird,
here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song,
as we go along,
walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say: Are you married?
we'll say: No man,
But you can do the job
when you're in town.

Later on, we'll conspire,
as we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
the plans that we've made,
walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
and pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman,
until the other kids knock him down.

When it snows, ain't it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,
walking in a winter wonderland.

Walking in a winter wonderland,
walking in a winter wonderland.

Our Unsung Heroes by:JewelWings

In our society these days we tend to forget our homeless and they often become invisible. One way to overcome this is to volunteer and help in soup kitchens and raise our awareness into the depths of how the less fortunate get by in our world. It can also be a place where kindred souls can meet and interact with others and learn about different cultures within our society. You can also lend out a helping hand which is a great way to give back to your community. Here is a quote that I made which you should really ponder during your holidays, "Ask not what your less fortunate can afford: ask what you can do for the less fortunate."

Here are some steps you could use if you decide to help in a soup kitchen.
1.~You can contact any local soup kitchen or shelter in your community and inquire about what kind of help do they need most. Be sure to call information or you can look up the local government in the phone book and find some in your town.
2.~You can collect canned goods and donate them to your fellow community shelters, but make sure that they are nonperishable items.
3.~Ask your family and/or friends to help donate any supplies needed for the homeless.
4.~Be sure to buy any kind of food that you think the recipients will enjoy.
5.~Collect a local farmer's markets or supermarket's fresh produce and donate to the soup kitchens.
6.~You can cook a few extra necessities that you can donate to any program and it will be a special treat for the participants.
7.~Deliver the food to the shelters or soup kitchens in person, that way you can meet some very nice people.
8.~You can also help them with inventory and pack the rest away if you have extra time.

Here are some tips to help you while trying to help:
1.~You need to check the dates on all the food so you can make sure it is within the guidelines
2.~Please consider donating money if you want to continue helping our homeless.
3.~Just be a kind soul with a generous heart and they will love you forever.

Pregnancy

This month we are going to talk about pregnancy because it is something that most females go through at some point in their lives.
Here are some common signs that you might be pregnant:
1. Food cravings: Don't rely on this one though because we all get food craving whether we are pregnant or not.
2. Darkening of your areolas: The skin around your nipples becomes darkers. This could also mean you have a hormone inbalance.
3. Implantation bleeding: You may see some spotting a few days after ovulation. This is caused by the egg burrowing into the endometrial lining.
4. Frequent urination: Your body begins to produce the hormone hCG which causes you to have to go more often. Frequent urination can also be a sign of diabetes so if you are not pregnant, you may want to be tested for diabetes.
5. Fatigue: You will probably feel extremely exhausted although you got plenty of sleep. This could also be anemia so make sure you get enough iron. 6. Tender, swollen breasts: They will feel alot more sensitive and painful to the touch.
7. Morning sickness: You begin to feel nausea and not just in the morning. You also become highly sensitive to smells.
8. Your basal temperature remains high.
9. You miss your period. (Don't start thinking that you might be pregnant until you miss your period)
10. A positive home pregnancy test. This probably means that you are pregnant, but they aren't always 100% so to be 100% you might want to have a blood test done.
Symptoms that you will get later in the pregnancy include:
1. Backaches and hip pain: Make sure to sit in chairs with good back support. Apply a heating pad or ice pack to relieve some of the pain.
2. Swelling: Your feet swell. Your face and eyelids get puffy.
3. Shortness of breath: Try to keep good posture and sleep on your side. If you doctor says its ok then exercise may help.
4. Heartburn: Eat small meals and drink plenty of fluids throughout the pregnancy.
5. Spider veins, varicose veins and hemorrhoids. To prevent hemorrhoids, include plenty of fiber in your diet and drink lots of fluids.
6. Stretch marks: Your skin may be itchy, and you will get stretch marks. There is no way to prevent them, but its good to use moisturizer to stop the itching.
7. Frequent urination: You will find yourself having to go much more often especially at night. Watch for signs of urinary infection such as burning during urination, more frequent urination, fever, abdominal and back pain.
8. Braxton Hicks contractions: These contractions are warm-ups for the real thing. They're painless and come and go unpredictably. True labor contractions get longer, stronger and closer together.
9. Weight gain: By your due date, you'll probably weigh 25 to 35 pounds more than you did before pregnancy.
Ectopic Pregnancy:
Ectopic Pregnancy is when the fertilized egg implants somewhere other than the uterus. One in 50 pregnancies end up this way. It is very dangerous and life threatening if not treated. Most ectopic pregnancies occur in the fallopean tube. In rare cases, a woman has a normal pregnancy in her uterus and an ectopic pregnancy at the same time. This is called a heterotopic pregnancy and it's more likely to happen if you've had fertility treatments, such as in-vitro fertilization. If an ectopic pregnancy isn't recognized and treated, the embryo will grow until the fallopian tube ruptures, resulting in severe abdominal pain and bleeding. It can cause permanent damage to the tube or loss of the tube, and if it involves very heavy internal bleeding that's not treated promptly, it can even lead to death.
Symptoms:
1. Abdominal or pelvic pain or tenderness. Sometimes you also feel nausea.
2. Vaginal spotting or bleeding. If you're not sure you're pregnant yet, you may think you're getting a light period at first. The blood may look red or brown like the color of dried blood, and may be continuous or intermittent, heavy or light.
3. Pain that gets worse when you're active or while moving your bowels or coughing.
4. Shoulder pain. Cramping and bleeding can mean many things, but pain in your shoulder, particularly when you lie down, is a red flag for a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and it's critical to get medical attention immediately. The cause of the pain is internal bleeding, which irritates nerves that go to your shoulder area.
5. If a fallopian tube has ruptured, you may also have signs of shock, such as a weak, racing pulse; pale, clammy skin; and dizziness or fainting. In that case, call 911 without delay.
The treatment depends on how far along it is. You could either be treated with a drug called methotrexate, or you may have to have surgery.
One of the possible causes for this type of pregnancy is if your tubes were damaged by PID. PID is often caused by untreated sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as gonorhea or chlamydia. So always use protection unless you are in a serious long-term committed relationship and plan on being married or already are married.

Christina Aguilera's Big Day! November 21, 2005

Pop music's "Dirrty Girl," CHRISTINA AGUILERA, tied the knot with music executive JORDAN BRATMAN this weekend at the Staglin Family Winery -- the Staglins are family friends -- in Napa Valley, CA, and ET has the inside scoop and the star reactions!

The nuptials began at 6 p.m. when the former Mouseketeer walked down the aisle in a gown by French designer CHRISTIAN LACROIX. The bride's hair was pulled back in a chignon and accessorized with diamonds and white flowers. Christina's sister RACHEL was the maid of honor. Jordan's brother JOSH served as best man.

The couple exchanged wedding bands designed by London jeweler STEPHEN WEBSTER, who also designed the engagement ring.

The six bridesmaids wore dresses designed by KAI MILLA, the wife of STEVIE WONDER. The couple said their vows in front of 130 guests, including actress SHARON STONE.

Prior to the wedding, Christina and Jordan stayed at the nearby luxurious Auberge du Soleil, where the rehearsal dinner took place. And the pop star's vintage white Rolls Royce was delivered to the location for the couple's convenience. The newlyweds will be leaving for their honeymoon this week.

Celeb pals CARSON DALY, CARMEN ELECTRA and COOLIO gave ET warm wishes for the couple.

"Live long and have a great, great marriage. I'm super happy for you guys," Carson said.

Coolio added, "Health, happiness and long life, and if things don't work out, I'll holla at ya!"

After being introduced by producer IRVING AZOFF in 2002, the lovebirds became engaged in February of this year when Christina thought she was simply going to Big Sur for a romantic weekend, but Jordan surprised her with a five-carat diamond-and-platinum ring designed by Stephen Webster with input from Jordan.

Earlier, according to "The Insider"'s MARC MALKIN, Christina and Jordan enjoyed joint bachelor and bachelorette parties at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas over Halloween weekend, and they dressed for the occasion: Christina came as a nurse and Jordan as a doctor!

ROME (Reuters) - The city of Rome has banned goldfish bowls, which animal rights activists say are cruel, and has made regular dog-walks mandatory in the Italian capital, the town's council said on Tuesday.

The classic spherical fish bowls are banned under a new by-law which also stops fish or other animals being given away as fairground prizes. It comes after a national law was passed to allow jail sentences for people who abandon cats or dogs.

"It's good to do whatever we can for our animals who in exchange for a little love fill our existence with their attention," said Monica Cirinna, the councillor behind the by-law.

"The civilisation of a city can also be measured by this," she told Rome daily Il Messaggero.

The newspaper reported that round bowls caused fish to go blind. No one at Rome council was available to confirm this was why they were banned. Many fish experts say round bowls provide insufficient oxygen for fish.

In July 2004, parliament passed a law setting big fines and jail terms for people who abandon pets and since then local governments have added their own animal welfare rules many of which will be difficult to police.

The northern city of Turin passed a law in April to fine pet owners up to 500 euros (339 pounds) if they do not walk their dogs at least three times a day.

The new Rome by-law requires owners to regularly exercise their dogs, and bans them from docking their pets' tails for aesthetic reasons.

It also provides legal recognition for cat lovers who provide food for the colonies of strays which live everywhere from the city's ancient Roman ruins to modern office car parks.

Animal rights groups estimate that around 150,000 pet dogs and 200,000 cats are abandoned in Italy every year.

Potato, Cherry Tomato and Green Bean Salad

Cook the potatoes (leave whole do not slice) until fork-tender, about 20-25 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes; remove to a bowl.
Cut the small potatoes in half or quarters if the are fairly large. In a small cup whisk together 2 tablespoons orange juice with 2 tablespoons vinegar; pour over the warm potatoes, and gently toss to coat.

Hey! What's up everyone! This is Laura aka Lil_Laura_Kitty.

This month, I will be writting about two of my favorite shows on the WB, One Tree Hill and Smallville.
We will start with all time favorite show, One Tree Hill! Isn't it sad that Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush got separated? From what I heard, CMM admitted to cheating on Sophia with Paris Hilton while they were engaged. Don't let me get into what I think about Paris because you don't want to know. I'm not a CMM fan anymore either. Go Sophia! Ok so now onto the actual show. Here's what's been happening lately. Lucas wants to get serious with Brooke, but she's been keeping her distance because of what happened last time. For those of you who don't know, Lucas cheated on Brooke with her best friend, Peyton. Brooke eventually forgave Peyton, and they are now best friends again. Has she completely forgiven Lucas? I'm not sure about that. So just when it was possible for them to get back together One Tree Hill introduced a new character, Rachel. Rachel has been trying to take over the cheer squad. She's also interested in Lucas.

The cheer squad decided that they would avoid boy drama by all choosing one guy. Whatever guy a girl chose, the other girls weren't allowed to flirt with or go out with for the rest of the cheer season. Rachel ended up chosing Lucas so Brooke has to stay away from him for the rest of the season. Lucas is upset that Brooke didn't chose him. Brooke had this plan where another of her friends would pick Lucas so she could pick Chris Keller (the guy who Haley went on tour with) Her friend didn't pick Lucas. She picked someone else. Peyton ended up picking Mouth because no one else wanted him, and she felt bad for him. Haley gets her husband, Nathan. They are still having issues. All of the girls must go out on a date with the guy that they choose. Haley is happy about getting a chance to make things right with Nathan. Brooke is discusted by having to go out with Chris, but she chose him to keep him away from Haley. Lucas tells Rachel that he has feelings for Brooke, and they agree that Rachel and Brooke should switch guys.

Just as they were about to go tell Brooke, they see Brooke and Haley going on a double date with Chris and Nathan. Lucas and Rachel end up playing strip basketball on their date. The double date with Brooke, Haley, Chris, and Nathan doesn't go well because Nathan ignores his wife, and Chris tries to flirt with her. Then Brooke sees her designs in a window at the mall. She's really happy about this so the four of them go back to her place to celebrate. Rachel gets half naked on the basketball court. Lucas is discusted and tells her to get dressed. Lucas decides to go back to Brooke's place, and tell her that she is the one for him. When Lucas finally arrives at Brooke's doorstep to tell her that she is the one for him, he opens the door, and she is in bed with Chris Keller! Nathan and Haley both write down on a piece of paper their predictions for the next year. They will read each other's predictions in one year to see if they came true.
So that's pretty much what's been happening lately in One Tree Hill! Its a great show! Seasons 1 and 2 are out on DVD so if you've missed any episodes you should get them!

Now onto Smallville! Lana and Clark are finally back together again. Apparently Clark's not the only one interested in Lana. Lex Luthor is interested in her as well. In the most recent episode, someone sends Lana a silver metior rock. Clark gets cut by it, and it makes him think that everyone is turning against him. He sees Chloe emailing Lionel and accuses her of sharing his secret. Then he sees his father talking to Lional and accuses him also. Later he sees Lex kissing Lana, but its just his imagination. He goes crazy with jealousy and almost seriously hurts Lana until his professor who happens to be from Kryton comes in and cures him.
We all know that Clark ends up with Louis so maybe Lex ends up with Lana. You never know what could happen on that show. That's what makes this show so entertaining.

Grey's Anatomy

Meet Meredith Grey. She's a woman trying to lead a real life while doing a job that makes having a real life impossible.

Meredith is a first year surgical intern at Seattle Grace Hospital, the toughest surgical residency program west of Harvard. She and fellow first-year interns Cristina Yang, Izzie Stevens, George O'Malley and Alex Karev were students yesterday. Today they're doctors and, in a world where on the job training can be a matter of life and death, they're all juggling the ups and downs of their own personal lives.

The five interns struggle to form friendships in this most stressful and competitive atmosphere. Meredith's medical ambition is overshadowed by a troubling secret: Her mother, a noted pioneering surgeon, is struggling with a tragic and devastating illness. Cristina is a study in contradiction; highly competitive and driven, she eschews any favors in order to make it on her own. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens is the small-town girl who grew up dirt poor and, in spite of paying for her medical career by modeling, still struggles with her self-esteem. George O'Malley is the warm but insecure boy next door who always manages to do or say the wrong thing at the wrong time. In spite of his attraction to women, he's treated as "just one of the girls." And Alex Karev, the intern the other interns love to have, masks his working class roots with arrogance and ambition.

The interns are guided by an established team of doctors who are determined to shape them into skilled surgeons or break them: Miranda Bailey, a senior resident responsible for training them, is so tough that she's nicknamed "The Nazi." Derek Shepherd is the flirtatious but very capable surgeon who shares a forbidden but undeniable sexual attraction with Meredith. Preston Burke's arrogance is second only to his skill with a scalpel. Overseeing them all is Dr. Richard Webber, Seattle Grace's paternal, but no-nonsense chief of surgery.

Grey's Anatomy focuses on young people struggling to be doctors and doctors struggling to stay human. It's the drama and intensity of medical training mixed with the funny, sexy, painful lives of interns who are about to discover that neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white. Real life only comes in shades of grey.

Grey's Anatomy stars Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey, Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd, Sandra Oh as Cristina Yang, Isaiah Washington as Preston Burke, Katherine Heigl as Isobel "Izzie" Stevens, Justin Chambers as Alex Karev, T.R. Knight as George O'Malley, Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey and James Pickens, Jr. as Richard Webber. (artpunk_xero)

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review

Harry Potter came to theaters a week early and the other movies that was out that weekend did not have a chance for the Harry Potter fans. The beginning of the movie had me at the edge of my seat already. The one "Who Must Not Be Named" makes his debute and almost takes control, but it was only in Harry's dream. Or is it?...........

Three schools combinded, on Harry, Ron, and Hermione's forth year at Hogworths, to compeat in the TriWizards Tornament. 3 mastered wizards, one from each school must put their skills to the test to win, or if fail, die. But something happens and Harry was put into another dangerous journey.

With all the eximent going on with the TriWizards, the the three also come up against the oppiset sex. They have to find someone to take the to the Yule Ball for their Christmas celebration through out the movie. You will see Ron trying not to give in to the temptation.

The ending I will leave you to find out what happend, only thing I have to say is to bring a tissue with you. If get really into the movie you may need it. With this great dialog, effects, keeps you in you seat (not haveing the excuse to leave for a bit), and don't confuse you by going to a different problum than focuseing on what is really needs to be focused on, I recommend you on going to see this or wait until the DVD comes out. Beleve me, this move is a must see.(by: SunRiseRose)

Harry starts off in his fourth year at Hogwarts in the Goblet Of Fire preparing to go to the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament. The students are represented in three different wizarding schools. The schools are Hogwarts, Durmstrang Institute and the Beauxbatons Academy. They also compete with each other in a series of challenges. A new teacher takes a keen interest in Harry. The Dark Lord Voldemort's Death Eaters interrupt the proceedings preparing for his rebirth. Each of the competitors are chosen by the Goblet Of Fire. But this time instead of just three entries, a surprising announcement emerges from the goblet with a fourth. Will Harry be able to surpass the Triwizard Tournament, keep up with his studies and also face Lord Voldemort once again or will he be beaten in this round?

Speak
Laurie Halse Anderson

Melinda Sorodino is the definition of "outcast". She has no friends and everyone has some reason to hate her. Ever since she had a end-of-summer party busted by calling the cops, she's been hated at her school. What no one knows is Melinda holds inside of her a deep secret that she's afraid to let out...she's afraid for many reasons... especially the reason that keeps her running from the shadows and from a certain person at school.

The winner of the 2000 Printz Honor Book and the finalist of the 1999 National Book Awards and Edgar Allan Poe Awards, this book is a must read for teenagers. It will make you believe in yourself, if not anything else. Read Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, you won't regret it.

One fashion trend that will be all a rage this winter is a brown leather zip jacket. This beautiful looking jacket has just the right amount of material to keep you warm this cold and freezing season. It can match any type of clothing that you want to wear. Be sure to grab one before the chilling temperatures arrive your way.

A toasty trend that I will definitely try is a Trotters 'Chill' Boot. These boots can be bought for about $55 at Nordstrom's. They are very comfortable, water-resistant and are made of road- hugging rubber with fleece lining. They come in 7 different colors.(Black, Brown, Natural,Yellow, Blush, Green Apple and Red Patent) I plan on buying me a pair of Black ones. In other words, just like Jessica Simpson says, "These boots were made for walking."

Our third choice for this winter season is a Nature Print Sweatshirt that has an emblem of a Bald Eagle and a U.S.A. flag on it. It can be worn by both men and women and will keep you warm all season long. They usually sell for about $19.99-$23.99 at Blair stores or you can opt for ordering them on line. Either way, it's a safe bet to find one before winter begins!

For my final fashion decision, I found an elegant little scarf that you could use to bundle up this year. It's called a Heather Magic Scarf and it comes in five varieties of color. (Black, Pink, Lilac, Eggplant and Off White) They sell for $9.99, are very versatile and can go with any outfit you choose to wear. You can wear it as a stylish belt, a hooded shawl or just a flattering cowl, just let your imagination be your guide.
