The Senior age at Gemini starts at around 15-16, although some still compete within the Junior section due to ages at competitions

The Seniors are...

Her biggest achievement has been being selected for the England team 3 years running. She has competed in the Europeans 2005 and Worlds 2006 in the England Squad in Pom Pom Team and in the Europeans in Croatia in 2007 in Junior Dance and Twirl team. Jenny Ransom.....
Jenny is 16 and is the older sister of Joanne. She competes in Junior. She is a very determined twirler although a bit scatty (ok very!) we love her lots! Jenny is determined to succeed despite many dippy moments and this has been reflected within placings throughout 2007 and so far this year winning several trophies at Regional and National level. Her biggest achievement has been being selected for the England team in the Europeans 2005 and at Worlds 2006 in the England Squad in Pom Pom Team. Her strength is her excellent performance skills and she is working on improving her baton flow, roll combinations and higher level tricks and spins. She twirls within the Sapphire teaching group.

Laura Burridge.....
Laura is 17 competes in Senior. A very talented twirler Laura is one of more advanced girls and does a duet with Charlene. She has won many Regional and National titles since joining us at the end of 2005 from another local team. Her biggest achievement is being selected for the England team in 2007 in the European Championships in Croatia in Junior Dance and Twirl Team. Her strength is her excellent body and baton technique speed and is working on harder roll combinations, spin illusion spin trick and trying new things! She twirls in the Diamond teaching group

Claire Pritchard....
Claire is 21 and competes in Senior. Last year she had to take a break from twirling due to becoming a mummy! Tyler was born in October 2007 (myself, Emma and Michelle were the birthing team!!) and she competed in the Nationals just 2 weeks after giving birth placing 6th in Solo ...now thats dedication!! Her biggest achievement has been being selected for for the England team twice in the Europeans 2005 and Worlds 2006 in the England Squad in Pom Pom Team. Her strength is her determination to try new things and her connections and she is working on placement with her high tricks. She twirls within the Saphhire teaching group.

Michelle Martin....
Michelle competes in Senior and used to twirl when she was younger. She joined us in 2005 and although our oldest twirler, the team wouldn't be the same without her! She has improved immensely since being with us and has won many Regional and Nationals titles and awards. Her biggest achievement has been being selected for the England team in the World Championships in Pom Pom Team 2006. Her strength is her ability and determination to try new things and she is working on consistently catching her 4 spin and spin illusion and maintaining her pattern. She twirls within the Diamond teaching group.

Gemma Steele

I've been twirling since I was 12. I've won loads of trophies and titles over the years and in 2004 went one step further by taking over the team as trainer and Corps Director which although is hard work I just love doing! I qualified as an NBTA Teacher and Judge in 2004 and this has helped me take the team forward further. I've represented England 4 times: in AYOP 1999 and at the NBTA World Championships 2003 and 2006 and in the NBTA Europeans in 2005. I always try and make our training sessions hard work but always enjoyable! I've also decided to return to competing this year and am now back in team events and also competing in Solo again!
