We strongly encourage all users of Banneker DEA to register with us, whether or not you are able to make a financial contribution. The information on how to reach dog owners has come in handy many times when Banneker dogs have appeared without a human companion, when items have been left at the park, and during various minor emergencies. You can print and mail our membership form. Registration forms are also available at the kiosk.

Volunteer
There are several ways that you can help to maintain and improve the environment at the Benjamin Banneker DEA
- Respect the needs of our residential neighbors, including their need for quiet and privacy.
- Follow the rules, with special attention to cleaning up after your dog and preventing barking.
- Help others to follow the rules. Don't be afraid to remind your dog park colleagues of the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and quiet park if we want to keep our DEA.
- Volunteer to help with park projects. This year there will be a need for help with the lighting and landscaping projects in addition to routine clean up and repairs
- Please let one of the Banneker Dogs officers know if you see anything that needs fixing.
- Bring extra plastic bags for poop pick up and add them to the dispenser if it is getting low. Don't leave plastic bags if there are already too many.
- Please take recycleables home: do not place them in the container for dog waste.
