Today's Child
 Tomorrow's Hope

Sometimes in life we need a friend
Although it's make believe
So we can pour our heart out to
Someone to whom we cleave

Seems to take the pain away
These feelings that are there
Make a wish feel this love
It's joy beyond compare

Today I need that special friend
For heart so hurt inside
Wonder if you understand
There's things I try to hide

Time that I am not so brave
My heart is filled with woe
Within my heart this gentleness
Of magic seems to flow

World so filled with sadness now
So much is on my mind
Take the time to find out now
What words of love can bind

I need to know that I'm okay
I want to feel some joy
World is filled with so much pain
And me... I'm just a frightened boy.
