Bjorn Leines, also known as BJ, was born in Big Lake, Minnesota on March 27, 1977, and now resides in Sandy, Utah. He rides for Forum, Volcom, Oakley, Diakka, Drop, and YRide. He currently has his own pro model board out with Forum. He hasn't ridden well in contests, but even so his riding will blow your mind. In 2000 he got 1st in the Jose Cuervo Squaw quarterpipe contest, and 4th in slopestyle at the X Games. He was ranked 2nd by Snowboarder Magazine for Rider of the Year. He was featured in The Resistance, Forum's video, and Luminous Llama, Volcom's video. His part in The Resistance was one of the coolest video parts ever. He did a gulley gap that was so sweet and so insane you have to see it to believe it. If he wouldn't have reinjured his ankle in Slopestyle practice at this year's X Games, I think he could have won it or have come very close to doing so. Snowboarder Magazine put it best: "No matter the time, place, terrain or temperature, BJ is always on it and rarely over it." Click on his below pic to view his gallery. |
