Chapter Ten...Home Sweet Home

"What the HELL did you think you were doing?" Jyson's face was red, and his voice was cutting through Kelsey's heart. Kelsey trembled as she felt the blood trickling down her face. Jyson grabbed her and forced her to look straight into his eyes. "Answer me, goddamnit!" He was screaming so hard he was becoming hoarse. Kelsey felt herself go limp and she slowly began to black out. The last thing she felt was Jyson's lips against her own before he whispered, "Mine. You're mine."

Taylor stared at the television screen. He wasn't really watching - it was just some horror movie. Lately he had been doing everything he could to keep his mind off of Kelsey. He could only imagine what was happening to her. He remembered when Jyson had come to the hospital to take her home…

Taylor stared at him, his jaw set. "You can't." Jyson laughed. He BLOODY LAUGHED! Taylor's eyes pierced at him, until he became suddenly aware of it and stopped. "She's mine," Jyson said, his eyes matching Taylor's, ice blue with fire beneath, "Mine. And I'll do whatever I want." With a satisfied smile, he walked in and Kelsey came out with him. He had his arm around her.

What can you not see?
Why are you blind
To all that surrounds you?
Can you not see me,
My pain,
My tears,
The jests,
The jeers.
All I am
Is crumbling.
Why should I give a damn?
When all they do
Is pity me.
When all they do
Is ignore my plea
All the light
Is gone from my world.
I don't know if I can fight
Anymore.
There's nothing to fight
For.

Kelsey dropped the pen and let herself shake. She was afraid to go asleep; she knew Jyson was waiting for her to come to bed but she couldn't bring herself to. She looked slowly at her hands. They were trembling and cold. In the dark she could only feel the blood drying on her face. But she didn't care anymore. Nobody did. No one. In the back of her mind, the thought of Taylor slowly developed.

Kelsey let the tears come. She was too tired to fight anymore. She had been fighting battles alone all her life. 'Taylor deserves better than you,' the voice said. Kelsey wasn't surprised by the voice in her head anymore. Before she had always fought it, tried to ignore it, and always do the opposite of what it said. But this time, she was too tired, too weak, and too forgotten to even try. She let seep through her. 'He deserves better than you...'

Suddenly she heard footsteps. She kept her head down. Then she heard Jyson's voice, "Hey, sweetheart - feeling down?" She looked up at him, which made him smile. The sight of blood always gave him a rush. She numbly noticed that several of his so-called "buddies" were with him. By "buddies" she meant his gang members.

She felt herself being lifted up and taken to the bedroom. She didn't resist; she merely let herself go limp in Jyson's arms. When they reached the bedroom, she noticed several of them were looking at her up and down. When she saw Jyson take off his shirt, her eyes widened. She whispered to him, "Jyson, what..."

"I'll to you what, you bitch," he said, the others gathering around him. "You don't screw with me. Because when you do, you screw us. And we screw you." The smile on his face grew wider as he noticed Kelsey's eyes widen even more. "That's right. Mine, remember? Mine."

Kelsey watched as they all formed a line. Jyson was first. Before he started, Kelsey closed her eyes. She was beginning the welcome the darkness. The voice.
