Syntcheck uses
the output results of Syntparse for most of its decisions. The difference between
a spell-checker based on orthography and Syntcheck is that Syntcheck displays
for correction those words that are spelt correctly from orthographical point
of view, but incorrectly from grammatical point of view, which a spell-checker
based solely on orthography cannot do. Go to the previous item. More about it ...: Examples of the Performance of Syntcheck.

Syntcheck was developed as a Computer
Assisted Language Learning tool that can be used also as a grammar spell-checker
by all those who write texts on a computer. The office clerks, the students,
the writers, the editors, the proof readers, the translators and the typists will
find it extremely useful for spell-checking of their texts. All language
students may use it to locate the grammatical errors they make when they write
and by doing so, they can improve their knowledge of grammar
and spelling. Syntcheck is designed to practice spelling at home,
by composing one's own sentences or texts and checking them for grammatical and
orthographical errors. Those teachers, who have a Personal Computer for each student
in the classroom, can ease their work when they dictate texts to their students
for spelling exercise, if they use Syntcheck to proof-read the texts as soon
as they are written. Syntcheck cannot correct one's style of writing, or pin-point
errors based on meaning. Go to the previous item. More about it ... Menu: The menu of SYNTCHECK
