Background

Scott Mitchel Putesky. To an average person the name means nothing, but to many Marilyn Manson fans he is a God. Born in Los Angeles, California on April 24 1968, he later moved to West Orange, New Jersey where he grew up, and even later he moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. His first instruments included the flute, snare drums, and the trumpet. The living legend and god of guitar didn't even start playing the guitar until he was in the 10th grade. He had played in various bands such as the flying eggbeaters and India loves you, but he is most famous for his contribution to Marilyn Manson. At a party in 1989, Scott and Brian (Manson) met at a party. They shared views that the two biggest icons had been Marilyn Manroe and Charles Manson. Most Marilyn Manson fans don't know that Marilyn Manson is actually the name of the band, not Brian's name. They decided to call themselves Marilyn Manson and the spooky kids, Scott changing his name to Daisy Berkowitz (Daisy Dukes from Dukes of Hazard and David Berkowitz the famous serial killer). Brian took the name Mr. No Name Manson, not Marilyn Manson. Being Brian Warners first band and him knowing almost nothing about music Scott had to be the heart and soul of the band. They started off playing with scott doing everything from rad guitar to programing an unamed drum machine. Brian wrote his twisted mind boggling lyrics. Scott blew away night clubs with his awsome guitar riffs and rad song writing. They went through many band members and started getting really pupular after touring with Nine Inch Nails and releasing their first album Portrait of an American Family. Scott finaly quit in 1996 after the release of Antichrist Superstar. He said in interviews that Brian had a short temper and was being an overall dick. Manson had been rejecting songs, pushing Scott off stage and excluding him from photo shoots and recording sesions. Once they had been playing and three songs into the concert the drummer had played the intro wrong and Brian smashed the drums, ending the concert. The crowed loved it until they realized Marilyn Manson wasn't coming back. Anyway, Scott left to go his own way. He joined a band of cross dressers who covered 80's songs like "I want candy" and "I love Rock n Roll". After being in the band, the Linda Blairs, he joined R.O.D. (Rednecks on Drugs) and toured with Jack off Jill for a while. His main band is his own one man band, Three Ton Gate. He released his demo 3x3, and later the full album Vanishing Century. Throughout his career he can be known for his master guitar work. Scott Mitchel Putesky is most definatly a guitar GOD...
