The American Rabbit Breeders ClubARBA is the national rabbit club for the US. It is a good idea to be a member if you wish to show rabbits in conventions or earn legs and championships at local shows. ARBA also produces the breed standards for both pure bred rabbits and pure bred cavies (guinea pigs). I have been a member since 1994. |
Alaskan Rabbit Breeders ClubARBC is a local rabbit club. Some states have multiple clubs for different areas. Being a member of one can be fun and benefiting. Older members can share their knowledge with the newer ones, especially to those new to rabbits. Normal it is the individual clubs that put on the various local shows through out the year. A member of ARBC since 1994. |
Interior Rabbit and Cavy ClubIRCC is a local rabbit club that covers the more northern areas of Alaska. Also like many rabbit clubs, it is combined with a cavy (guinea pig) club. And it's all right to be a member of multiple clubs so long as you don't mind the sometimes long drives to shows. I have been a member since 2000. |
American Dutch Rabbit ClubADRC is a specialty club. Meaning it is a rabbit club that specializes in only one breed. They are normally national. Joining one insures you gain sweepstakes points every time you show a rabbit of that breed. Dutch were the very first breed we had starting back in 1994. |
National Rex Rabbit ClubNRRC is the specialty club for that breed of rabbit known as the 'velveteen'. Rexes were the second breed we had, having received the first one as a Christmas present back in 1995. |
Holland Lop Rabbit Specialty ClubHLRSC is the specialty club for the smallest of all the lop rabbit breeds. We only had Holland Lops for about a year in 1997. |
National Mini Rex Rabbit ClubNMRRC is the specialty club for the miniature versions of the standard Rexes. We still have one as a pet and we started them in 2000. |
Mini Lop Rabbit Club of AmericaMLRCA is the specialty club for the second smallest, and considered the standard sized by some, breed of lop rabbit. These little guys are currently the most numerous breed in our barn and still going strong. A member since 2000. |
American Polish Rabbit Breeders ClubAPRBC is the specialty club for one of the smaller breeds of rabbits. Normally a solid colors only breed, broken patterns have recently been approved for the breed standards. A member since 2000. |
