Mini Lops

Description

The general aspect of the Mini Lop is that of a massive, thickset body with good depth and width from the shoulders through well-filled, slightly heavier hindquarters. The head markings on Brokens should consist of color around the nose and eyes and with colored ears. Body color may be either patched or blanket markings.

Personality

The Mini Lop is often described as having a very large personality in a compact body. They are very friendly, social and have terrific personalities. They are social animals who love the companionship of other rabbits in addition to their caretaker. They will live well with other rabbits, but it is not recommended they share the same cage and/or living space.

An intelligent breed, it is becoming more and more common for Mini Lops to be harness and/or litter box trained. Thus often becoming a well-behaved indoor pet when integrated with their family members.

They are highly social and crave attention. Mini Lops will become lonely when ignored for long periods of time, and they may become fearful and aggressive from lack of social interaction. Young Mini Lops will become more aggressive than older individuals if not handled every day.

A few hours every day should be set aside for both you and your lop for playtime. When given lots of attention, this lop breed is a loving companion that is genuinely affectionate towards its owner.
