What is 'unlocking a phone' ? Unlocking a phone basically means freeing it from the network to which it is currently locked to. When the phones are manufactured by Nokia they are unlocked which means they are able to accept Sim Cards from any network. However, when the phones reach the service providers eg O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone etc they are sometimes locked to only accept the Sim Cards for that particular network. Why do Service Providers lock these phones ? Service Providers lock the phones for the obvious reason that they do not want you to use the phone which they have sold you on a competetitors network. By you using another network provider it would mean they would lose your money!!! Why would I want to unlock my phone? You may want to change network providers i.e. from Orange to T-Mobile because it would be more cost effective for you. It might be that you have just bought another handset to replace your outdated or damaged one and it wont accept your existing sim card. You may even want to sell your phone and by it being locked to a certain network you will not generate a lot of interest unless of course you get lucky!!! Whatever the reason we are here to unlock your phone to any network - the way we think it should be !!!! Is it illegal? IMEI Changing, do we do it? My phone has been barred by my Network Provider. Can you unbar this ? No!! We are only able to offer a sim lock service. What are DCT-3 and DCT-4 phones ? DCT-3 and DCT-4 is the generic name given to Nokias handsets. Please refer to the table below to establish which handsets are DCT-3 and which handsets are DCT-4
If your phone is not listed then please ask How will you unlock my phone and is it safe ? We unlock ALL DCT-3 phones by connecting the phone to a computer using a special datacable and running risk free software through it. This basically means that we need your phone to do this. Please note that by unlocking the phone we are resetting it back to its original factory settings (ie the way it was made by Nokia). This may mean you will lose any ringtones/logos or settings which you have put in your phone since. DCT-4 phones can now be unlocked remotely using a special unlock code. In order for us to calculate the unlock code for your handset we need 3 pieces of information:- 1. The Type of DCT-4 phone eg 6610, 7650, 8310 etc 2. IMEI number which can be found by typing *#06# into your handset 3. Network locked to eg T-Mobile, Vodafone, O2, Virgin, Orange etc We Then Give You The Network Unlock Code For You To Enter Via The Phones Key Pad My phone is DCT-3. What do I do ? Easy! Just send us an email and we will give you the address where to send the phone to. Then just send the phone in a well packed recorded or registered mail padded bag (preferably registered mail) with your Name, Address and Phone Number that we can contact you on along with payment method. Please also provide us with any access PIN codes to access your phone and the battery. We do NOT need your Sim Card. We will get your phone back to you as soon as the work is done. How long does it take? We can send most phones back to you on within 7 days of receiving them, some phones may take an extra day or two if they have to be sent to our workshop engineers. How much does it cost? We
charge a fixed fee of £14.00 to unlock
all DCT-3 phones and
£9.00 for all DCT-4
phones (see below). A lot of other companies are charging between £15
to £40 depending on the model of the phone. There are no extra
