Hey this is Daniel, yea I'm typing an english paper right now,
ughhhh, I just wanted to remind those of you who attend Lexington
High School that we'll be playing the half time show at the
student teacher basketball game this
monday night (May 5) so come out if ya can and watch some basketball
and some music. Its like a basketball sandwich and we're the
meat, .....or something like that, I'm going to stop now.

for the summer... |
Wow the last few weeks have been so busy its been unbelievable, me
and Will both have been swamped with school projects and what not
and the website has slowing been dying thanks to a half completed
update by myself that left the navagation bar UNNAVIGABLE! great job
me.. So rather than just post a new message apologizing for this lack
of attention I decided to build an entirely new website to gear up
for the summer. There will be some new things that I want to do soon
that will hopefully be some fun additions, like a virtual practice
room where you can play around with our instruments.
As far
as the music goes, if you check out the info page and look in the
songs area you can find some new song titles
that I'm working on. Hopefully we'll be playing them soon. Whats
really getting me excited though are our plans to record and release
a series of EPs throughout the summer, the first one to be recorded
at the Jam Room within the next month. There are also plans to take
the band on the road and play some venues in Georgia and North Carolina
but thats still up in the air. In the mean time thanks for coming
to the shows and giving us the support you always have, give the
new website a look and check out our new message
board in the "boards" section,

This
is Daniel, I just wanted to once again thank everybody for coming
to the CD release party and for buying CDs,
we've almost sold out of our first batch of a hundred. Woww. Also
coming up is our first show back at the New Brookland Tavern since
Brian has joined the band.

Hey all,
this is just an announcement stating that I, Will Floyd have been
living a lie. I have been gaining credit, and glory from the work
of another. Elizabeth Johnson, who has, for so long, been doing
the main portion of the real managarial work for GuitarShow, is
now getting what she deserves, the true title of Manager, in the
band GuitarShow. Never fear (not that any of you would) I will still
be here functioning as I always have, but I now pledge allegiance
to Elizabeth. While I still will handle booking, photography, and
all things web related, she will be the true nerve center of all
the awesome stuff going on in the band. So if you need anyting contact
one of us, and we will do whatever we can to help.
By the
way: the band has some freaking awesome things in store, so keep
an eye out here for any news.

Hey
everyone! Thanks to all of you who came out to the show last night
and rocked out. It was great seeing so many people there just getting
into the music. Also, thanks to all of you who bought CD's, they
are still for sale, and will soon be available by mail order from
the website, and we are going to be selling some at Manifest as
well, so be on the look out. I will be posting pictures here as
soon as i get them developed.

Hey everyone,
sorry its been a while since that last post, but college is kickin
my ace. Everyone is busy with the release party coming up MARCH 1,
the band is learning new songs, and everyone behind the scenes is
preselling cds, and gettin gthe band ready for a bunch of new shows
we're trying to set up. Be ont he look out. Guitar Show is BACK(although
they were never rerally gone), and theyre better than ever. Oh yea,

fo not posting, but things have been hectic in my world, as well as
the world of the band. If you have bought a presale CD thank you we
appreciate the support, and if you havent, THEN BUY ONE....from any

party Saturday March 1. Rock on
The date, place and time of the Once Around the Sun CD RELEASE PARTY
has been set. The party will be held at Northside Baptist Church at
6:00om on MARCH 1st. Opening for the band will be Cardboard Box Colony,
an up and coming local band.
The CD's are available for presale for $8 after which they will be $10.

We
here in the Guitar Show camp would like to say farewell to one of our
founding members, Kara Lynn Nelson. Kara has decided to pursue other
musical projects in a mutual, and completely freindly split with the
band. Thank you Kara for a year and a half of fun, love, and dedication.
We wish her good luck in all that she does.

Machado, will be playing at faith United Methodist Church Coffee house
in Lexington Sc (located right outside of lexingtonnext to McAllister's
and Across the street from bike to nature) Friday night from 7-11pm...while
the exact time he is playing is unknown, this will be an accoustic set,
and will be fun for the whole family.

Those things said...The Guitar Show CD Once Around the Sun, is
completely finished...It has been sent off to be copied, and is now
available for presale.
Talk to any member of the band, or myself and we can hook you up. The
cds are ten dollars. There are a lot of things in the works right now,
including stickers designed by Brandon Sharpe. A new member of the band
is still in the works, and all I can say is that the band sounds very
very good. Rock on ^m^.

In
my hurry to get some new info out to all of you out there, I accidently
deleted the last 6-8 posts, so Im sorry if you missed any of that info.
BUT THIS IS BIG! The new cd is done! It will be completely ready for
you to buy from any member of the band, and a few people that work with
the band in about 7 days (enough time to get the copied, and get booklets
printed). There will be a cd release party that is still TBA (it will
be a week or so after the cd is ready for the masses). But be prepared,
there are great things to come, including stickers, and a new website!
