Now, where shall I start...

Ukyo Kuonji. Name, meaning -Eternal Temple/ to right of capitol city(Kyoto)-. This would make sense, speaking that, well, she speaks in the Kansai dialect. This falls in the Kyoto area. So, basically, she will say "Ooki Ni" instead of the standard Arrigato, and so on. Let's make this simple, she speaks a slang form of Japanese. She currently runs a Japanese Okonomiyaki Shop in Nerima, Japan. In the Okonomiyaki Shop, an underpaid Konatsu watches Ukyou cook. How did Ukyou come to the Nerima District? Well, let's make this simple.

While on one of his "training missions", Ranma met a "boy" in the Kansai district in Japan. The boy and hois father ran an Okonomiyaki shop in that area. Every day, Ranma would come over, and challenge him to a fight...over free okonomiyaki. Then, Ranma would win over this one he called "Ucchan", and get free okonomiyaki in the process. And to all of you, this unlucky "Ucchan" is no other than Ukyou Kuonji, and Ranma, being only 8, had no idea that Ukyo was a girl Yet, this fight was always meant for Ranma to win. Ukyou would draw small pictures on the okonomiyaki with the sauce, making it seem more like a present. One day, Ukyo told her father of the deep love and affection she had for Ranma. Her father eventually talked it out with Genma Saotome, and they agreed on a deal. If Ukyo could stay with them, they would own the Kuonji's okonomiyaki cart. So, it was agreed. So, the next morning, Genma and Ranma woke up early, and ran off with the Kuonji's okonomiyaki cart. Ukyo, disgraced and embarassed, refused to be known as a girl. Instead, she led the next 10 years of her life, posing as a man. Ukyo swore to exact revenge on Ranma Saotome. Then in Nerima, Japan, it happened. Ukyo had found the Saotomes, and she challenged Genma to a battle. At that very same time, Ranma found a challenge letter on an okonomiyaki. How peculiar. Ranma soon finds Genma, just-dead. It is found at the very next day that Akane had been at the battle. This revealed that Ukyou Kuonji had attacked his father. Now if he could only remember who Ukyo was...

In Furinkan High, a new student had arrived from the Kansai district. His hobby was making okonomiyaki, and he sported a huge spatula on his back. His name. Ukyou Kuonji. Ranma finally remembered Ukyo, or Ucchan, as he refers to her. Yet, Ranma still believes that Ukyo is a boy. Ukyo, on the other hand, thinks that Ranma knew about her secret. Ukyo soon challenges Ranma Saotome to a battle. It is only after this battle that Ranma finds out about her secret, and calls her cute. This brings back her affection for the pigtailed one. She now refers to him as Ran-Chan, and fights over him, against Kodachi and Shampoo.
