Ranma 1/2, the comic series about aqua-transformations. Basically, those who fall into the springs of the legendary cursed springs of Jusenkyo will turn into who..or what drowned there many centuries before with a dose of cold water. Hot water will basically "detransformize" the cursed body of that person...
A long while ago, Genma Saotome and Soun Tendo, training partners and good friends, promised an inter-family marriage of either one's son and daughter. Unfortunatly, this will lead to yet another scratch on their backs.
Genma and Ranma Saotome set out on a ten-year training trip to China. As the training goes by, Genma finds out about a place in the Quingzai province of China where the greatest martial artists trained. Unfortunatly, Genma can barely speak or read Chinese. So, Ranma and Genma Saotome arrive at the infamous cursed grounds of Jusenkyo. As they begin to spar on the bamboo stalks, the Jusenkyo guide tries to warn them about the cursed springs, but remains ignored. Ranma and Genma soon learn the hard way, as Genma is kicked into the spring of drowned panda, and jumps out looking like one! Ranma soon after gets kicked into Nyannichuan, or spring of drowned girl. Now, when splashed with cold water, he becomes a beautiful red-head!
In the quaint town of Nerima, Soun Tendo and his three daughters, Nabiki, Kasumi, and Akane, await the arrival of Genma and Ranma Saotome. As they listen to the fighting and screaming outside their door, it still seems...normal. As the cursed forms of Genma and Ranma wlk in, the Tendos are scared half to death of them. Soon, they realize the real truth. Out of the three daughters, Ranma would marry one. Nabiki and Kasumi appointed Akane, due to her hate of boys and so on and so forth...
Tatewaki Kuno shalst smite thee... The Blue Thunder of Furinkan High, put to challenge Ranma. The One who takes the one true Akane Tendo. With his sword in hand, and a rose of fertility, he shalst smite thee well...
