Story Summary
The story of two groups of people, The Seven Seals (fighting for humanity), and The Seven Angels (fighting for the earth which means the destruction of humanity). Two childhood friends, Kamui and Fuma, are destined to each be a leader of the opposing sides. Kamui is forced to choose a side, once he chooses, Fuma will awaken as the leader of the other side and they must fight each other for the future of humanity and the earth. The story slowly unfolds, as those from each side gather together to fight one another for a better world.

My Opinion
X is an emotional and tragic story. Each character has been given different powers to fight for their cause, in many cases its fighting to the death. I can sympathize with both sides, saving humans, or saving the earth from humans. Each character has a past that makes them who they are in the present, and all fight courageously for their desired future.

The Movie and Manga
The manga is titled X/1999 and is 18 volumes long, beginning its run in 1992 and ending in 2002, with no conclusion to the story. The TV series is slightly different from the manga, where the movie is quite different. The advantage of watching the TV series is getting a conclusion to the story.
X the movie actually came out in 1996, five years before the series in 2001. The film wrapped up the entire story in 100 minutes, with a much more grim ending than the TV series.
