What can I say about Mina? Mina's story is complex. She is the original Sailor Scout, the one first thought up by Naoko Takeuchi. Hence the "Codename: Sailor V" manga. In the "Sailor Moon" anime, there is lots of Sailor V merchandise available, and a movie is being made about our happy friend.

Mina's guardian kitty is Artemis. He is a male cat that was named after a female god. (Goddess.) I heard somewhere that Mina is Serena's cousin. Anyway, Mina-san started her crime-fighting career in London, where she lived for a few years. (She speaks better english than the rest of the senshi, except for maybe Ami.) She already knew about the other scouts and about the Moon Kingdom and such before she joined them, or at least, she knew everything that Artemis could tell her. Mina aspires to become an idol.
