Ranma sighed as he looked at his mid-year school report. Most
of the grades were average, and just passing the minimum required.
Well, physical education was an A plus, so that was okay. The
one failing grade was his computers one.
Computers. What the heck does an martial artist need computers
for, Ranma asked himself. The smart part of his mind said that
computers would be a useful skill with housekeeping costs, plus
it wouldn't hurt to learn how to use them proberly.
Another part reasoned that his mother would be quite upset if
he failed. That kind of made his mind up for him.
Sighing again, he decided to find Hinako-sensei and ask about
after-school tutoring and if it was available. Ranma just hoped
that his teacher wouldn't faint.

Hinako woke up. Heh, what a funny dream she had, Ranma was actually
asking for after...school... tutoring?
Hinako looked up and saw an bored-looking Ranma. Looking around,
she was in the infirmary. Possibly, Ranma carried her here. Well,
since he was polite enough to carry her here...
"Hinako-sensei, you done yet?" Ranma asked in a obviously
bored-out-of-his-mind tone.
"So, Ranma-kun... ah... what was the question again?"
Hinako questioned in a sultry voice, designed to bring males to
their knees... ah you get the picture. It was a good thing she
was currently in adult form; doing the Voice(tm) whilst in child
form just would have sounded wrong for some reason...
It was completed wasted on Ranma because reason number one -
he had heard the sultry voice too many times by his fiancees and
so he had grown a slight immunity to it, and number two - he wasn't
really listening to her anyway.
"It's simple," Ranma said quietly. "I... I need
after-school help on those computer lessons."
Contrary to popular belief, Hinako was a dedicated teacher, so
she could feel the discomfort in Ranma's voice at his request.
Obviously, Ranma never liked to ask for help. It's probably because
of that father of his, Hinako thought to herself, mentally frowning
at a image of Saotome Genma. She looked at Ranma. Finally, the
delinquent was growing up!
Hinako smiled. "I'll see what I can do. Tomorrow after school,
in the computer room, okay?"
Ranma slowly smiled back, and nodded, before walking out of the
imfirmary.

"BOY! Why were you late from school?!" Ranma's father
shouted to his ever-lovin' son as said son entered the living
room.
"Well, I asked teach for after-school lessons, y'see, and..."
*thump*
"... aw, man. Pop fainted. Oh well."
Soun walked into the living room and saw his future son-in-law.
"Son, were you late from school today?"
Ranma nodded. "Yeah, see, I asked teach for help in lessons,
and..."
*thump*
"... jeez!"
"Oh, hey Saotome! I hear you were with Hinako-sensei after
school today.."
"Yeah, Nabiki! Asking her for help in school lessons, okay?!"
*thump*
"ARGHHH!!"
"Ranma?"
"Akane?"
"Why were you late from school?"
"I wanted help in my lessons at school, and..."
*thump*
"$&*&£*# $~*%!!!"

So. Ranma has afterschool lessons. There's the excuse for Ranma
and Hinako to be hanging around each other. And Hinako will be
teaching him. Who falls for who first? ^_^;;
There could be scenes of Hinako and Ranma spending time together
at the cafe where she's helping him with his other schoolwork,
and helping him push up his grades (hey, Ranma _is_ her favorite
pupil, even if he's a rebel. ^_^). Of course, the fiancees get
wind of this, and attempt to spy.
They can't do anything, since Hinako merely drains their energy
if they so much as even attempt to distract Ranma from his work
(she theorized that Ranma's grades are poor, because he is unable
to concentrate anywhere, due to constant attacks and stuff)...
And when Ranma's tests are handed in, and he gets a high grade
from the exam boards? Yells out in class "I did it, teach!
I passed!" and high-fives Hinako... then gets punted out
by Akane, since he had the nerve to do better than _her_ in schoolwork...
^_^;;
And when Ranma gets back, he isn't marked at 'skipping class'
or lateness, due to special circumstances... being kicked out
of the window, for one. ^_^;
