The five scientists who designed XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero in AC 180 went their own separate ways. Each one took copies of the plans for their original Gundam design. Professor G, who went into hiding in the L2 colonies, as the other 4, who went into hiding in the L1-5 colonies, had all designed their own Gundam with the copies of Wing Gundam Zero. Professor G, with the help of an underground scavengers' guild named the Sweeper Group, had built the XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe, which Specialized in Stealthiness and Close Combat. Gundam Deathscythe became a very big mechanical terror when sent to Earth to fight against OZ.
OZ had code-named the Deathscythe as Gundam 02, was equipped with Vulcan Guns and Machinecannos for standard long-range weaponry. It's primary weapon is its large Beam Scythe, Which was able to slice through Enemy Suits like a hot knie through butter. The Deathscythe also carried a Buster Shield, which was mounted on its Left Arm. It mounts two solid blades and a beam blade, which was able to be launched at an enemy, spinning in a very effective yet brutal attack. Deathscythe was also equipped with a Hyper Jammer ECM System, making the gundam invisible to various types of electronic sensors, which allows the gundam to sneak in and attack an unsuspecting foe. With it's pilot Duo Maxwell, who was well known as the God of Death, made the gundam almost invincible, because of his mastery of these Stealthy strikes.
