The five scientists who designed XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero in AC 180 went their own separate ways. Each one took copies of the plans for their original Gundam design. Master O, who went into hiding in the L5 colonies, as the other 4, who went into hiding in the L1-4 colonies, had all designed their own Gundam with the copies of Wing Gundam Zero. Master O built the XXXG-01S Shenlong Gundam waiting for Operation Meteor. Shenlong's intended pilot Mei Lan Long, was killed in an encounter with Earth Alliance and OZ Forces on AC 194. Wufei took her place as Shenlong's pilot and named it Nataku, which was Mei Lan Long's nickname in her memory. Shenlong did not wish to take part in Operation Meteor's colony drop onto earth, and instead went to Earth to fight OZ Directly.
Armed with a Beam Glaive for a primary weapon in close combat, Gundam 04, nicknamed by OZ, specialized in close-combat. It was equipped with Vulcan Guns and was made from almost Indestructable Gundanium Alloy. Shenlong, which means Dragon God, was equipped with the powerful Dragon Fang, an extendable right arm with a Dragon Head Claw on the end. It worked effectively both as a grappling and as a striking weapon, and was also equipped with a pair of Flamethrowers. Shenlong also carred a shield useable for throwing, called the Shenlong Shield. Shenlong is as skillful as it's pilot Wufei, who uses Nataku to fight the evils of the universe.
