[At this point, you have a choice of going to two planets. One is to the right, and one is down. The planet that's "down" is called Tanren; the other just says "On with Chapter 3" or something.]
[If you go to Tanren, it switches to Tactical mode. You find yourself on a nice sandy beach with palm trees.]
Elnar: This planet is probably another enemy training ground...
[OPTION: Fight some enemies for practice? YES/NO]
[If yes, select difficulty: ULTRA Hard! / Sorta Hard! / Easy, easy 
. Based on what you pick, a set of enemies will show up for you to fight and get your characters some more levels.]
[NOTE: At this point, you can also backtrack to Earth. If you do, you'll find that there is a new area open behind Teimfou. It's another "training ground" just like Tanren, but with much easier enemies; you can probably go back to it in the second chapter and I didn't notice. If you win some battles at either of these and then go back home, Mama will give you a new fan-letter for each battle. These fan-letters are kinda like the bromides or bonus items you find in other games; the two I saw were cute crayon drawings of Yuna and Yuuri. ^_^]
[When you decide to continue on to the far-right-hand planet...]
[The Element Fairy is passing by a big dark planet with a red surface and brownish-white clouds swirling in the atmosphere. A green star illuminates the system.]
Yuna: Hey, hey, Misaki-chan, how much farther is it to the Mechanized Planet?
Misaki: We're only halfway there. But, before the Mechanized Planet we must deal with a dire foe...
Mai: A dire foe?
[Everyone gathers around a holographic projector. Green light forms a 3-dimensional image in the air.]
Misaki: This is it... the enemy's mobile fortress, "Tensei!" 
Misaki: It seems originally it was a space colony for creating planets.
Misaki: When it was taken over by the Machine Empire, they modified it into THIS!
Misaki: With its additional armaments, Tensei became highly mobile and so possesses fearsome offensive potential. It really is a "Mobile Assault Space Fortress."
Polylina: If this fortress has that sort of capabilities, then it's probably intended for planetary bombardment... perhaps this is the Missile's...
Elnar: Yeah... if there's any enemy that has the power to launch such a thing then this has a high probability of being the one!
Erika: Not to mention, from this vicinity there are no black holes or large-scale planets to block radio waves from reaching Earth...
Lemi: That also make it good place to guide missile from...
Mai: Well Yuna, just ask Mirage to come blow Tensei to bits!
[Paishan speaks up from behind them.]
Paishan: W, wait a moment!
Yuna: What's up, Paishan?
Paishan: Within that... within that, Jinmin-sama of the Three Wisemachines is still being held!
Paishan: If even one of the Three Wisemachines is lost, we will not be able to seal the Machine Empress again!
Yuna: Paishan... what was that about "Three Wisemachines?"
[We again see the picture of the three heroes standing on a hill from the Legend of Black Empress and White Empress.]
Paishan: The "White Empress, Yuipha-sama"... the "Right Acolyte, Jinmin-sama"... and the "Left Acolyte, Chuupho-sama"...
Paishan: These three heroes, "The Three Wisemachines," are the embodiment of all that is good in us Mechanizans.
Paishan: At the time of the last battle, they were able to seal the power of the Machine Empress...
Mai: Then why is that Machine Empress chick still on the loose waffle-stomping all the planets in the galaxy!?
[Paishan looks sad.]
Paishan: That is... the seal was... dissolved from outside by an unknown force...
Paishan: Within that machine, the power to revive the Machine Empress was secretly being collected...
Paishan: Then, since the people of the colony were being used as a shield, Jinmin-sama who was in charge at the time was unable to fight and thus was imprisoned...
Miki: Now I see... that definitely looks to be the work of the Machine Empress!
Yuna: Then, we have to go in for a rescue right away!
Paishan: Eh...?
[In the background, Ako and Mako have their hands clamping Mai's mouth shut.]
Mako: Yep yep! We can't go on unless we scale the walls of Tensei! Right, Ako-chan?
Ako: If we break out Jinmin-sama, we'll all feel rosy on the inside... Right, Mako-chan?
Yûri: If all goes well, we'll be told how to beat Machine Empress-san, we will!
Shiori: Thaaaat'ssss riiiiight........
Polylina: Set course for Tensei!
Elnar: Understood!!
Paishan: Uh... Te, Tensei is a battle fortress... it won't be that easy...
Yuna: No problem! It'll work out somehow!
Misaki: Anyhow, let's go!
Paishan: Y... yes. 
[The Element Fairy Warps-Out near a gargantuan spherical space fortress. The ship pulls in close to an asteroid, hiding from the fortress' sensors. The fortress is the size of a small moon, but it has thick tentacle-like spines sticking out of it around the equator.]
Text: Space Fortress "Tensei"
[Yuna, Polylina and Misaki are seated at the ship's three control stations, with everyone else crowding into the bridge behind them.]
Yuna: Woooooow... that's Tensei? Kinda overwhelming!
Elnar: Yuna, this is no time to admire it! We need to think of a way to get inside...
Misaki: To come in from the front, or to approach from the rear...
[A cross-section of the fortress comes up on the monitor.]
Erika: How about creating a diversion while a small team slips in from a different direction?
Polylina: Good idea! I approve!
Elnar: Front and back... let's divide into Yuna's team and Polylina's team!
Polylina: So then, Yuna, select your team members!
Elnar: It might be best if you take along a lot of fighting power in case you run into trouble inside!
Yuna: Hmmm...
[You are presented with a screen that has two floating platforms. Yuna stands on one, Polylina on the other. You place troops on the two platforms just like at the beginning of a mission to choose who goes in what group.]
Polylina: It's decided, then. I'll see you on the inside... ack!
[Yuna is holding her arms outstretched toward Polylina; Mai is dragging her away.]
Yuna: Polylina-samaaaa!
Mai: What's up with the mushy-mush!? Come on everybody, let's go!
[Tactical mode. We see a narrow ledge projecting out from the space fortress, the darkness of space dropping away below. Just beyond this ledge a bunch of colored spheres hang in space. A Robot Soldier wanders off the ledge and drifts near one of the orbs, but as it approaches the orb emits a shower of lightning bolts that completely decimates the robot. Yuna and her team jet in and stop just before the field of orbs.]
Yuna: What was that!? Why did it explode?
Elnar: It seems those are point-defense satellites protecting Tensei...
Yuna: What should we do...? At this rate, we can't proceed.
Elnar: Yuna, look carefully at the movement of the satellites!
Yuna: Understood, Elnar! Everyone, let's give it a shot!
[Now you have to get across the field of defense satellites. If even one team member gets killed, the mission is a failure.]
[After everyone is across...]
Yuna: Somehow we squeaked through, huh?
Elnar: Everyone, please be careful! From here on out we'll be inside Tensei!
[Fade out. Meanwhile, elsewhere, Polylina's group has arrived at the fortress' main entrance. They appear to have blasted their way through the aerial defenses using Misaki's patrol cruiser; it's parked nearby. The entrance is well-defended; a multitude of Robot Soldiers have taken up defensive positions behind various obstacles. Behind them is a laser force field protecting the main gate into the fortress.]
Polylina: So this is the interior of Tensei...
[Some of the robots start advancing. One of them walks across an orange tile on the floor and the force field drops for a moment.]
Polylina: I get it... those things acts as switches...
[Some more robots walk around, revealing more switches.]
Polylina: Everyone, if we stand on those four switches the field will open!
[Battle. If you have four characters stand on the four orange squares, the force field will open. You then have to fight past the big green robot and get another character to stand on the last orange square. That will open the gate and end the mission.]
Polylina: That was just the first battle... Everyone, don't let your guard down! The real fight begins from here on in!
[Meanwhile, Yuna and company have arrived in a massive hangar bay. They are on a suspended walkway, perhaps thousands of feet above the floor; far below them a whole fleet of warships is docked, looking like toys from this height. The walkway connects to a couple doors and a computer terminal.]
Yuna: Wooo! What a huuuge place...
Elnar: Yuna! There's a computer over there!
[Yuna walks up to it.]
Yuna: Ehehe
[Beep!]
Ryudia: Yuna... can you hear me?
Yuna: R-- Ryudia-san!?
Ryudia: Yuna... it looks like you've managed to get inside...
Yuna: Thank you, Ryudia-san!
[Wander mode. Yep, a new mode! ^_^ It's just like battle mode except that you just move Yuna around and she has infinite movement points. There are three doors you can go into from here.]
{Door #1 - upper right}
[You walk into a big room with red walls and floor, and a big yin-yang on the carpet.]
Elnar: This looks like another training ground...
[Practice fighting? Yes/No]
{Door #2 - upper left}
[You walk into a room full of red Robot Soldiers]
Yuna: What's this room? There are a lot of soldiers here, but nothing else...
Elnar: Look, Yuna! There's a door over there!
Yuna: Is that so... then there must be something good behind that door!
[Battle. It's kinda tough since there are so many of them and they're fairly strong.]
[ After the battle, you go through the door at the far end of the room. This leads to a small room with three treasure chests in it. When you go up to one...]
Yuna: Lucky! I've always wanted one of these!
[The chests seem to contain random items, though some are empty.]
{DOOR #3 - left-hand side}
[You come to a large room with what look like dolls scattered all over the floor, lying in clumps and wedged into the corners. Then you realize they're not dolls...]
Yuna: Wh, what is this?
Elnar: The remains of killed Mechanizans...
Yuna: Why did this happen...? They're Mechanizans too, just the same, aren't they? That's so... so...
[At one end of the room is a raised platform. On this platform is a monstrous heap of bodies, piled up to the ceiling; it resembles something you'd see at a landfill. Suddenly six forms burst out of the pile! As they land, we see that they are mutant copies of Yuna, Polylina and Yuuri. There are two of each type.]
Yuna: Waaaaah! M, m, me!? Ehhhh!?
Elnar: Are these "copy robots" imitating our skills and powers!? Yuna, be careful!
Yuna: Ehh!? I have to fight myself?
[Battle. It's a bit tough; the enemies don't hold back, and they have the same stats you do.]
Yuna: I knew it; fighting myself is soooo freaky.
[At the other end of the room is another door. This door leads to a corridor with a computer terminal in it, where you can save your game. At the other end of that corridor is another door. This door leads to a bridge over a dark expanse of unknown depth. Midway along the bridge is a platform with a crackling barrier of energy across it, like a fence. There's a little control panel on the other side. Yuna walks up to the barrier.]
Yuna: Ahh! We can't get across!
Elnar: It looks like there's a switch on the other side...
[YES/NO]
[If you select YES...]
[Meanwhile, Polylina's team has come to a catwalk that spans a tremendous room, much like the hangar that Yuna and the others were in earlier. However, down below them are a bunch of massive partially-constructed pot-shaped things. Welding and machinery noises echo up from down below.]
Polylina: I get it... this is where their weapons are manufactured...
[She looks over the edge of the catwalk at the big round things.]
Polylina: Those are... I've seen that shape somewhere before...
[Wander mode. There are three doors you can go through.]
[Lower left door leads to a long hallway; at the other end is a treasure room. When you open one, Polylina says...]
Polylina: What luck! These should help us in our battle!
[The middle left door leads to another big room with a red carpet.]
Polylina: This looks like a military training room...
[Practice? YES/NO]
[The upper door leads to a room that's divided into several sections. There are two doors, one of which is closed, and the rest of the sections are connected by teleporters. In the section that Polylina's group has entered there is a row of openings in the wall, with black marks on the floor in lines in front of them. The group fans out (splits into individual characters rather than Polylina's icon representing them all).]
Polylina: This room... I get a bad feeling about it...
[She steps through the open door to look around. Suddenly it closes behind her, trapping all the other girls on the other side.]
Polylina: Oh, shut!
[Plumes of flame burst out of the holes in the wall in the first room - the black stuff is scorch marks. The girls scream and flatten themselves up against one wall, barely out of the way of the flames. Enemy robots sprout up in all the other rooms.]
Polylina:Tsk... I let my guard down!!
[Battle mode. Yep, Polylina takes them all on solo. ^_^ Who bad, who bad? Because they're divided into rooms with teleporters, she can concentrate on only one or two at a time... until she gets to the final room, where there are four. Luckily, just then there's a flash and an extra person warps into the room. Dressed in a punk battlesuit with chains and spikes, sporting spiky blonde hair with her bangs dyed green, she whips out a weighted chain and demolishes the "healer-type" robot closest to her.]
Polylina: You're... Hime!
Hime: Looks like I came at a good time, huh!
[Finish the fight. Hime has a LOT of Hit Points, and her chain is a pretty powerful line attack. For her special attack, "Punk Rock," she whips out a guitar and jams on it and all allies adjacent to her get a 200% increase in attack power for their next attack. When you hit a switch next to the door, it opens and the flames stop. The other girls come scurrying out.]
Polylina: Thank goodness! You all look unharmed!
[The door at the other end of the room leads to another hallway with a save terminal. At the other end of that hallway is the room with the electric field. Really funny music starts playing when Polylina walks up to the barrier and Yuna sees her.]
Polylina: Yuna! Thank goodness you're safe!
Yuna (with hearts in her eyes): Yaaaaaay! It's Polylina-samaaa!
Polylina (looking embarassed): Yuna... We're in the middle of an enemy base, you know?
Yuna: Ehehehe
[Flip the switch? YES/NO]
[If you say NO... ;) ]
Polylina: Sorry, Yuna... there are still some places I want to check out, so could you wait there?
Yuna (looking pitiful): Waaaah! Poylina-sama...
[When you do flip the switch, the bridges detatch from the ends of the room. Everyone looks surprised for a second and then the whole assembly with them on it falls away into the darkness!]
[Eyecatch - Picture of Polylina from behind, holding her sword out to the side, her hair blowing in the wind with flower petals swirling by.]
[It's dark. There's a crunchy thud. Everything is silent except for some ambient beeping noises... at least, it's silent 'till Mai opens her mouth. ;) ]
Mai: Ow ow ow ow ow... Where in the world is this!?
Yuna: It huuuuurts! I landed on my heaaaad!
[The light returns (or else Yuna opens her eyes) and we can see where they're at. It's a largish room (they sure don't seem to build small in this place!) with piles of rubbish here and there on the floor. Along one end of the room is what appears to be a massive gate that opens vertically; in front of it is a double-layered mesh fence with caution striping on it.]
Polylina: It seems we've fallen into a troublesome place...
Elnar: Based on the composition of these mounds, it seems to be Tensei's garbage... so this must be a disposal area...
[ Suddenly the huge gate grinds open; on the other side is nothing but the void of space. Air rushes past the girls, picking up large chunks of trash and hurtling them into space.]
Yuna: Eeeeeeek!
[She starts losing her footing]
Yuna: Oh no no no no no...!
Erika: This suuuucks!
[They all fly through the air - but slam up against the fence just meters from the opening. After a moment the gate closes.]
Erika: Wh, What in the world happened just now!?
Elnar: It's an airlock! When the door opens, a massive amount of air is evacuated into space...
[Suddenly enemy robots sprout up all over the room.]
Mai: Jeez, even in a place like this? These things are soooo annoying!
Elnar: Everyone, remember to keep your mind on the situation!
Polylina: Somewhere in this room there should be a switch to stop the airlock... if we can find that, we can stop it!
[Battle. Sure enough, the airlock opens every so often and everybody (enemies included) is sucked toward it a few feet. Around this time (whenever Yuna makes it to Level 15), Princess Mirage will contact you. I've translated her dialogue and placed it in her Character Profile. Once you flip the switch to stop the airlock cycle and open another door, the battle ends.]
Yuna: Phew, that was close! Now we can finally progress into the heart of the fortress!
[The door leads to a smaller room with three doors, a save terminal and a teleporter. When you step inside, Paishan de-merges from Yuna's icon.]
Yuna: By the way, Paishan, do you have any idea where that "Jinmin-sama" Three Wisemachines guy is?
Paishan: ............................
Yuna: I see... if you feel anything, let us know right away!
Paishan: I understand.
[ Lower left door leads to another training room.]
[ Upper left door leads to a largish room with a four-way bridge in the middle. In the center of the four bridges is a suspended platform. On this platform are standing a couple enemy robots, a black-haired Mechanizan with a gold spear in white armor with red flower petals on the shoulders, a soccer player in purple armor and a baseball player in orange armor with a transparent blue visor. The latter two are, of course, Striker Rui and Mami of the Fighting Sprits.]
Mami: Jeez, where the heck did Ryudia beam us to!?
Rui: I sure don't see Erika-sama or Yuna...
???: Resistance is futile! Surrender yourselves!
Mami: Don't mess with us, the Erika 7!!
Rui: Taaaa--!
[ They swipe at her with assorted close-range weaponry, but she deflects the blows.]
???: Do you think you can beat me with those puny attacks of yours!?
[Her aura flares up and blasts the two girls screaming through the air; they land at opposite ends of the room.]
Erika: Mami! Rui! In a place like this...!
Mami: Erika-sama! My humblest apologies for your having to rescue us!
???: Hmhmhmhmhmm... You're too late, aren't you... Kagurazaka Yuna! I'm one of the Six Flower Warriors, Chuu-pha!
Chuu-pha: This is too good! I'll destroy you!
[Battle. It's tough to keep Rui and Mami alive, since they're isolated and there are plenty of enemies near them. Chuu-pha uses an attack called "Oil Rain." If Rui gets waxed, she says "I burned briefly but brightly..." If Mami goes down, she says "Next time I definitely won't lose!" When you defeat Chuu-pha...]
Chuu-pha: C-- Crap!! Sansho-sama, I leave the rest to you!
[ She explodes. Everyone gathers on the center platform.]
Erika: Mami! Rui! Thank goodness! It looks like you're unharmed, eh?
Mami: Erika-sama... I'm sorry to have worried you...
Rui: Jeez, warping us into a place like this... that's the last time I let Ryudia shoot me anywhere!
Elnar: Well, well; everything worked out fine so it's okay isn't it?
Yuna: Yeah!
[They walk back out the door, into the room with the teleporter.]
Familiar Voice: Yuna...
Yuna: Eh!? [She turns to the others.] Did you just hear something?
Lemi: I not hear anything unusual...
Polylina: Did something happen?
Yuna: I could have sworn I just heard Ayako-chan's voice...
Paishan: Eh? Did you say Ayako-chan...? As in the Three Bewitching Machine Sisters...?
Yuna: Yep! Ayako-chan and I were good friends!
Paishan: That can't be... the Three Bewitching Machine Sisters are the feared "Shadows of the Goddess of Destruction..."
Polylina: We fought those girls...
Misaki: But Ayako-chan... died to protect us...
Yuna: Paishan! Believe in her! Ayako-chan was a good-hearted girl... she was truly a good girl!
Paishan: Yuna-san...
[Suddenly the third door opens.]
Ayako's Voice: Yuna... come this way...
[ Walk over to the door...]

Misaki: I'm not sure it will make much difference which way we choose...

I knew it, I just can't let you go!
Elnar: The enemy unit came within its attack range and was taken out in one shot...
Elnar: Since the enemy soldier was destroyed, obviously anything within the area of effect will be attacked...
Elnar: It looks like they each follow a predictable pattern; if you can memorize the way they move, you should be able to find a clear path...
Elnar: Just across from us is a starship docking port; if we can get there, we can infiltrate Tensei!
Polylina: As I expected, it's an ambush. Truly sorry, but I won't give you the satisfaction of getting the drop on me!
Yuna: And there are a ton of things here which I have no idea what they're for. That's to be expected of an ancient advanced civilization, huh...

Elnar: I don't see any way to get to it from here, though.
Elnar: Should we wait for Polylina's team?
Polylina: The door on that side is open.
Polylina: Everyone, stay where you are! I'll rescue you!
Hime: Now that "Hime of Rock" is here, any needless noise will not be forgiven!
Polylina: We can't dawdle at a time like this! Let's press onward!
Our touching reunion... I'm sooo happyyyy!

Yuna: Polylina-sama, there's a switch right there; if you flip it, it might open the way over to here...
Elnar: When the airlock opens, we'll all be sucked backwards!
Paishan: It's no good... normally I can feel his presence, but...
Paishan: It seems a shield has been erected in this place that prevents me from locating him.
Erika: Wait there, I'll rescue you!
Elnar: So, Yuna, let's continue farther!

Yuna and company are all standing in a big dimly-lit purple room with pillars going from floor to ceiling. They look around in astonishment. Ayako's Voice: Yuna... Yuna spins toward the voice. The camera zooms in on Ayako's orb, which is still dangling from Yuna's necklace. In the orb is reflected a slow gout of unearthly green flame. Across the room the flame rises into a column, lighting up the previously dark area in a pale green glow. A humanoid shape forms in the flame. Ayako steps out, smiling. Ayako: Yuna... Tears form in Yuna's eyes. Yuna: Ayako-chan... Ayako: Forever... forever I waited to see you again... With unsteady steps, Yuna starts toward Ayako. She feels as though she's lost in a dream. She nearly falls over; her entire attention is focused on Ayako. Polylina: Yuna! Yuna grabs Ayako and hugs her tightly. Tears roll from her eyes. Yuna: Ayako-chan... Thank goodness! Thank heaven, you're alive! Beside Ayako's head, held to Yuna's chest, her orb now glows with its own light. |
[A sad music box version of the Fairies of the Abyss background music starts playing.]
Misaki: How is Ayako here!?
Erika: That girl definitely died... there's no way she can be alive!
Yuna (practically delirious): Ayako-chan? It's really you, isn't it Ayako-chan...? It's not a lie...?
Polylina: ........................
Ayako: Yuna... do you still... remember me?
Yuna: There's no way I could forget you... because we're friends aren't we?
Yuna: You went to school with Yûri and I... even to an amusement park...
Yuna: Being with you was truly fun...
Yuna: Yûri and everyone were so sad when you weren't around!!
[The music fades.]
Ayako: Oh, Yuna... could you do something for me?
Yuna (cheerfully): I'd do anything for you, Ayako-chan!
Ayako: Hmhmhmm... then, come with me... to the black and lonely World of Darkness!!
[The normal evil Fairies of the Abyss music plays. Ayako looks very frightening all of a sudden.]
Yuna: Ayako-chan!?
Polylina: Oh no!
[In the blink of an eye, Polylina teleports against Yuna, throwing her out of the way, and parries Ayako's sword strike.]
Polylina: Yuna!! This isn't the usual Ayako!! This girl's heart is filled with evil!!
[ Two other laughing voices echo through the room. Genmu and Kyoka phase out of the floor at the far end.]
Kyoka: We meet again, do we not?
Yuna: Y, You two!?
Elnar: The Three Bewitching Machine Sisters!?
Genmu: We live... but is that so strange?
Kyoka: Yuna, since you carried Ayako's core with you so carefully, we were able to be reconstructed...
Kyoka: Machine Empress-sama gave us new powers as well.
Genmu: This time we won't lose to you wenches...
Kyoka: Ayako, tell Yuna... about how you are a thing of darkness!!
Ayako: Yes... big sister...
[ She teleports behind the other two, onto a ledge with a set of peculiar menacing-looking devices. A motherload of robot soldiers appear.]
Yuna: W, Why...? Ayako-chan...
[ Battle. This one is HARD! The ledge Ayako is standing on is lined with cannons, which she gleefully blasts you to kingdom come with. Meanwhile, there are a lot of red enemy robots, and there are two bosses (Kyoka and Genmu) to boot! Genmu has a sick close-range attack called "Metal Blade" which basically kills a character in one hit, and Kyoka has a line attack called "Fusion" that shoots about five squares. Ayako happily calls out her targets before she blasts them. "Come to the Dark World... Yuna!" "Misaki... you can't run away either!" "Let's see, who should I do next?" "Hmm, who's left?" "Yûri, here it comes!" I barely got through this mission; literally everybody got wiped out except for Yuna and Yûri, and I kinda cheated to win - I used my only 200-point energy restore item to allow Yuna to call in the Mirage Cannon twice, which took out all the enemies that the other characters had softened up. When you kill all the minor enemies (or maybe it's when you reduce Genmu to 1/2 health)...]
Genmu: Their skill has increased... we'll meet again...
Kyoka: Rgh!? Big sister!
[They both warp out. Mission clear.]
[ Yuna runs up to the ledge in front of Ayako.]
Yuna: Ayako-chan!!
[ Ayako teleports down to the floor a ways behind Yuna.]
Ayako: ........................
[ She runs out the door.]
Yuna: Ayako-chaaaaaan!
[ Yuna follows her out. Outside, Ayako uses the teleporter.
Yuna: Ayako-chan!?
Elnar: Let's follow her!
[ When you take the teleporter, you're presented with a sort of maze... you're in a little room with four colored teleporters. If you take the wrong one, you wind up back in the room you were just in. If you take the right one, you wind up in an identical little teleporter room. After messing with it a bit, you wind up on the lower level of the manufacturing area below where Polylina's group was before. One of the huge pot-shaped things towers above everyone.]
Yuna: Th, this is--!?
Elnar: The same as the object that landed on Earth... "Teimfou!"
Erika: I knew it, this was the launch point wasn't it?
Misaki: And this is the best place to find a way of stopping it!
Polylina: Yeah! The computer that controls Teimfou should be somewhere nearby... let's find it!
[ Walk to the other end of the ledge. There's a save terminal and a door. When you go through the door, you come to a sort of mechanized "throne room;" there's a throne, and behind it is a raised platform. There are windows overlooking outer space. In front of the throne are the three sisters and a gold-armored Mechanizan with a visor and wings.]
Yuna: Ayako-chan!!
???: At last you've come this far...
Yuna: Who are you!?
???: One of the Four Machines of Heaven... "Shanshan." I am the one who controls this space fortress "Tensei."
[ A column of gadgetry with a yin-yang on it sits on the raised platform behind the throne.]
Yuna: The main computer is over there!
Shanshan: That's Teimfou's combat control computer... if you can stop that, the Teimfou on Earth will deactivate...
Shanshan: However, such a thing is impossible... because you will all die first!
Genmu: So, Ayako... destroy these people, and we can go back to the Machine Empire...
Ayako: Yes... big sister...
Yuna: Stop! Ayako-chan, please remember!!
[ Ayako steps toward Yuna.]
Ayako: ..................
Yuna: I don't want to fight you, Ayako-chan...
Yuna: Finally we've met again... I want us to laugh... I want us to be happy!!
Yuna: Because... because you're my friend, Ayako!
Ayako: Yu...na...
Polylina: Yuna! Look out!
[ Ayako raises her sword over her head to slash Yuna, but she freezes in that position. She quivers for a moment, then drops the sword. Her eyes are "shiny" again (they had no highlights on them since she stepped out of the flame). The music box plays again.]
Yuna: Ayako-chan...?
Ayako: Yu... Yuna...?
Yuna: Ayako-chan... have you remembered?
Ayako: Yuna... I... I...
[ Shanshan blasts her from behind with a bolt of lightning.]
Ayako: Eeeeeek!
Yuna: Ayako-chan!!
Shanshan: How useless...! We'll have to wipe her memory again later...
[ Ayako slumps to the ground. The other villains teleport back to the other end of the room, near the computer.]
Yuna: How dare you... How DARE you... to Ayako-chan!!
Shanshan: We'll make you all tombstones here in Tensei!!
[Another plethora of red robots pop up, this time surrounding the group.]
Yuna: Wait for me, Ayako-chan; I'll save you for sure!!
[ Another battle. This one is even tougher than the last one! There are THREE bosses and even more red robots which start out surrounding you! I got my butt kicked big time, the first time or two I tried it. ^_^]

The Element Fairy streaks up the firing tube of Tensei's main cannon. Parts of the superstructure break off and fall past; the Fairy dodges nimbly through them. The armored hull of the fortress blisters and breaks as a massive explosion begins to rip it apart from the inside. The Fairy shoots out of the opening just seconds ahead of a fireball quite literally the size of Kansas. The entire station vaporizes in a satisfyingly tremendous fusion reaction. The Fairy banks around to survey the remains and continue on its mission.
All: We did it!!

[ Back in story mode (finally!). Everyone stands around the ship patting each other on the back and swapping stories.]
Erika: That sure was a close one...
Yuna: I'm so happy everybody's safe!
Misaki: But even though the Missile on Earth has stopped, that won't return peace to the galaxy...
Polylina: Yeah... that Machine Empress... what's she planning next? We have no way of knowing...
Elnar: If we can't stop the Machine Empress, then it's all for nothing!
Yuna: By the way, how is Ayako-chan?
Shiori: Beeeecaaaause sheee iiiis soooo tiiiired.......... sheeee iiiis sleeeeepinnnng veeeerrrry soooouuunnndly..........
Jinmin: Paishan... that Ayako-- is she the one from the dreaded Three Bewitching Machine Sisters?
Paishan: Yes... Yuna-san was able to touch her , and make her see the error of her ways...
Jinmin: Is that so...
[ He looks at Yuna, who is off chatting with Ako and Mami with a cluster of others around her. ]
Jinmin: Kagurazaka Yuna... I wonder if that girl will be able ot return peace to us...
Jinmin: Our fight is a thing of time immemorial... we shall see whether she can come to understand it.
Paishan (smiling): Yes...
Yuna: Alllllright! We even saved Ayako; now I'm totally enthused!
All: Yeeeeah!
