Although utterly beautiful, Faye has quite the reputation as a stuck up, self-concerned young woman...well, young may not be the word.

3 years prior to her joining of the Bebop crew, Faye was cyogenically frozen. She was "dethawed" with no memory of why she was there or who she was. Faced with an enormous debt to pay to the doctor that froze her, Faye fled in an attempt to find who she was. Trying to find herself led her to gambling, which led her to more debts, which led to a bum deal which led to her meeting Spike and Jet, who attempted to collect a bounty on her, but they wound up losing both the money and Faye. Later, her ship the Red Tail ran out of fuel and only one ship came by and answered her call: the Bebop.

After joining the crew and helping with a few bounties, Faye received an old video tape showing herself as a child. She came to learn she was over 70 years old and eventually did find her way home. After leaving the crew, she ran into a mysterious woman who told her to tell Spike he'd know where to find her. The woman turned out to be Julia, Spike's long lost love.

DEFINING MOMENT:

Having finally returned to the Bebop after her absence because she thought debt collectors were after her, Faye went against Jet's wishes and caught a peek at the tape she had received. Upon realizing that it was her as a young girl, Faye shed the only tears we had seen her show in the series. Faye cannot remember this past...(Session 18; "Speak Like A Child").
