Disclaimer: I do not own Yugioh and all of its respected characters, except Kamira, Kamirah and Yami Kamira. Makiira belongs to *blinkblink*, another respected author on Kyokou Geemu. So don’t sue me, blah, blah, blah. Ja!

A sharp pain awoke Yami from his sleep. He sat up, and winced as his shoulder still hurt. He clenched his teeth to withstand the pain, and looked around. A swirling mist – a mist that was so black and so dark, you couldn’t see a yard in front of you - surrounded him. Yami’s gut told him that wherever he was, it wasn’t a good place. His Millennium Puzzle lay in front of him, glowing with a mysterious light, as though trying to tell him something.

Yami yelled as someone suddenly appeared in front of him. It was a female. Her back was turned to him.

That shining black hair looked strangely familiar… the soft silky sheet of hair cascaded behind her back, and black bangs were on her front. And as she turned around, he saw something to confirm her identity.
An orb with the Sennen Eye engraved upon the golden surface…

The Millennium Orb.

Yami cursed. “What the hell are you doing here, Kamirah!?” he said angrily, but fell silent when he saw who it was. It wasn’t Kamirah…

It was Kamira.

Kamira looked at him with those sad blue eyes. The usually happy light that twinkled in the depths of her eyes had gone – to be replaced with fear and worry. Her face looked wet from tears. She was dressed in a black and red dress, and had a scarlet ribbon around her hair. It was then Yami noticed that her hands were tied together – and there were red marks on her body: marks that were resulted from a whip.

A whip.

Kamirah.

Yami got all the more angrier as her silent yet scared gaze lingered upon him, signifying how painful it was for her. He clenched his fists tightly, and withstood the urge to curse Kamirah out loud. How in _hell_ could she do such a thing to her own aibou? It was inhuman…and worse still, Kamira hadn’t done anything wrong. She had just _somehow_ stumbled across the ancient artifact…

Kamira’s eyes lighted up a little when she saw who it was behind her.

Only a little.

Fear and terror were still mirrored in her eyes.

“Yami…Yami Yugi?” Kamira asked, unsure. Her voice had a slight extraordinary tone to it…she was afraid. She was afraid of her aibou. She was too scared to speak. Her black bangs lay wearily and ruffled on her pale and worried face.

She managed a weak smile. “It really is you…” The slash marks on her arms and legs were clearer than ever. Yami winced, thinking of what Kamirah used to inflict that damage. “Yami…” Kamira whispered. “Save Anzu…Yami…she tried to escape…but Kamirah…” Yami listened intently, as her weak yet courageous voice murmured near his ear. “Kamirah caught her…and…” She didn’t get to finish her sentence.

Yami Kamira appeared in front of the two of them, a person leaning on her shoulder.

She smirked. “Well, you’re here. As a welcome greeting, I brought this slave here.” She looked pointedly at the creature leaning against her. Her evil smile showed no mercy…and her right hand held something vaguely familiar – a bright black whip.

Yami stared in surprise as he realized who was leaning weakly against the evil woman. It was a female…with shoulder-length reddish-brown hair that covered her features slightly. Her blue eyes opened weakly, and she managed to give Yami a small smile. Her arms and legs clearly showed whip marks. Kamirah let go of her, and she stumbled and fell – into Yami’s arms.

Yami gazed into Anzu’s blue eyes, and she looked into his scarlet ones. She smiled again. “Yami…” the sweet voice said softly. The small voice was as sweet as honey, as warm as pouring chocolate…as sad as a spirit and she spoke as painfully as someone who was suffering deeply – and she spoke with labored breath.

“Yami…” she murmured again, before drifting off into unconsciousness.

“Anzu!!!” Yami said in shock as she went limp. She was still breathing – barely.

He looked angrily at Kamirah. “What the hell did you do to her?” he demanded.

Kamirah just smiled – a smile that bore no expression of sympathy – as she fingered her whip lovingly. “You have common sense, Yami. I trust that you do, yes?”

Her whip. She had used that goddamn whip to hurt Anzu. She had used that sinful weapon for sinful meanings.

Goddamn Kamirah.

She smiled accordingly, as though she understood what he was thinking. “If you think I’m such a damned witch, come and challenge me, Yami. C’mon. I’ll be waiting…” She threw a piece of paper at him, embedded with hieroglyphics. “Next week. Time in next week. And if Bakura Ryou doesn’t come as well…” Kamirah took out a knife. Yami winced as he recognized it: The same knife she had used to stab him. Suddenly the familiar pain returned to his shoulder, and Yami clutched his arm in pain. Kamira looked at him worriedly. “Yami!” But then she recoiled as Kamirah flicked her whip at her direction.

She licked the glinting knife, which was covered in scarlet blood, her eyes seemingly showing the extreme hate she held for him in her heart. “If Ryou-san doesn’t come…” she repeated, “Well…Kamira…” She made a slashing motion in the air. “Will just have to die. Can’t help it.”

Kamirah laughed, an eerie laugh that didn’t suit her. The Sennen Eye appeared on her forehead, and Kamira was sealed in the Millennium Orb. Anzu was then sealed in Kamirah’s knife.

“KAMIRA!!” Yami yelled in shock. “ANZU!!!”

He could see Anzu’s scared face gazing at him from the knife’s reflection. She was crying…those teardrops were falling from the knife and onto the ground below. *Yami!!!*

Yami gritted his teeth. ‘Ku…’

Kamira’s frightened face looked at him from inside the Millennium Orb. *Ryou!!!* Her deep blue eyes lingered on Yami.

{Yami!!!}
//What the…//
{I can speak to you mentally…}
//What do you want to say?//
{Rescue Anzu!! She needs you!! Or…}
//Kamira?//

No more was heard of Kamira. Yami Kamirah had sealed her for good.

//Kamira!!//

“No good, Yami,” sneered Kamirah. “By the way…” She snapped her fingers, and a large glass pyramid appeared. Yami stared at who was trapped inside the pyramid.

Honda and Jounouchi.

They were still in their jeans and shirts they had worn before. They too, seemed to have been whipped by Kamirah. Red slashes were seen all over their hands and their feet. They were apparently unconscious, but they were still breathing.

Or at least Yami thought.

“What the _hell_ have you done to Jounouchi and Honda!?” Yami yelled angrily, clenching his fists. The Millennium Puzzle glowed with a soft light.

Kamirah looked mockingly at him. “Oh nothing. Just a few whips…” She held up her knife. “And a few slashes, if I might add.”

‘Ku…’ Yami cursed.

“We have to go now. ‘Till next time, Yami.” With that, she disappeared with Honda and Jounouchi in a flash of light.

Yami fell to his knees, tears falling from his scarlet eyes. He placed his hands to his face.

‘I failed to protect them…’

‘I didn’t manage to stop history repeating itself…’

‘Ra…’

He fondled his Millennium Puzzle, and for the first time in his life, he would admit he cried. As his divine tears dropped onto the golden puzzle, it glowed with a bright light. Suddenly, Yami found himself standing in a magic ring, with the symbol of the Sennen Eye in the center. The mist around him began to fade…it began spinning…Yami closed his eyes, not wanting to know where it would take him. He fell asleep as the spinning continued.

/Aibou!/

Yami opened his scarlet eyes painfully. He looked up. Yugi’s room.

He was back in reality. As he tried to sit up, a sharp pain fleeted through him, and Yami pressed a hand to his shoulder. He was surprised as he touched a soft fabric on his arm. As he looked at his shoulder, he found it was bandaged.

Yugi. Yugi had helped him to bandage it.

//Domo, aibou.// Yami said softly.

“It’s nothing, aibou.” Yugi said, blushing slightly. Yami grinned weakly, but winced as his shoulder pained him again. He was sweating. He looked at his puzzle. It was still intact, thank goodness. He was half-expecting the puzzle to break apart after that spinning just now. Thank Ra…

Something caught his attention. He suddenly noticed that his left hand was crumpled tightly over something. He tried to take it out, but his left shoulder ached whenever he moved a muscle.

Yami sighed. He hated to do this, but…

“Yugi…?” Yami asked quietly. Yugi looked at him, expecting Yami to yell at him for bandaging his arm too tightly, but remained silent. “Uh, yes, Yami?” Yugi asked, giving a toothy grin.

Yami sighed again. ‘God, I’m not good at this sort of things…’

“Yugi, do me a favor, take out that paper from my left hand. And let me read it.”

Yugi obediently wrenched the paper from Yami’s grasp, and put it in front of Yami’s face.

Yami strained to read the ancient hieroglyphics written on the piece of paper. “Oh, God…”

‘I will be waiting for you, Yami, next week in Egypt. Well, not Egypt. More like the place you were just now. Concentrate on the Millennium Puzzle, and you and Yugi should get there. And if you don’t come…I’ll make sure history repeats itself. Remember Makiira. And this time, Jounouchi and Honda. If you fail, they will become my slaves for eternity. Well, meet you there. And be prepared for everything. It’s only the beginning, Yami. Who knows what will happen…

~ Kamirah’
Yami cursed. ‘Damn!’

“What did it read, Yami?” Yugi asked timidly. Yami recited the contents again, and felt his cards were still resting in his breast pocket. He was relieved. Yami lay his head on his pillow, only to drift into unconsciousness again.

“Anzu…” Yugi said sadly. A tear rolled down his cheek.

Yami shrank back against the wall, looking in shock at the Egyptian Princess. Kamirah licked her knife, as though she was licking something other than the red substance that fell from the knife and dripped to the ground. She threw her knife against the wall, narrowly missing Yami. Yami cursed out loud as he saw blood flowing freely from his shoulder.

“That should teach you about my rights for decisions.” Kamirah said icily, wiping her hand free from Yami’s blood, and re-adjusting her white clothing.

Yami looked at her with a look similar to hatred. He clenched his teeth, and clutched his shoulder in pain. The Millennium Puzzle glowed softly with an angry scarlet light. As he withdrew his hand, he almost yelled out loud as he felt the sticky crimson substance that stuck there.

Yami cursed, and yelled in agony as the pain pierced him once again. Kamirah just smirked. “Who’s at mercy now, _Pharaoh?_” she sneered. She made for the door.

“Don’t go!!” Yami ordered. It had the desired effect: Kamirah looked back, but her face made Yami recoil. Her turquoise eyes glinted maliciously and her mouth was curved in a sharp smile. “Long life, your _majesty_…”

Kamirah let out an evil laugh that rang through the corridors as she left.

Yami woke up, screaming. He opened his eyes half-way. It was enough to see that his shoulder was bleeding again. Blood was seeping through the bandages and through the T-shirt that Yugi had pulled on for him, and it was soaking through the white sheets on Yugi’s bed. Yami tried to move, but every time he did so, a fleeting pain shot through him. He desperately tried to make contact with his aibou.

//Yugi!!//

No response.

//Yugi!!!! Help - // It was then that Yami fell unconscious.

At this, Yugi woke up. “Aibou!?” He looked at his other in a half-awake tone, and then yelled out loud as he saw red on the sheets. Yugi pulled back the covers, and almost screamed.

Yami’s shirt was stained blood red because of his wound. He was clutching his shoulder in agony, and he was closing his eyes because of the pain. Yami was shivering, and sweating. And when Yugi put his hand to Yami’s cheek, he was burning too.
