YC: Whoa!!! The 9th fic!! Thank you all for supporting us till now!!! Actually I have to thank my lucky horoscope…y’know what? On May 6th, before I started writing fics, I read my horoscope. It said you will get an inspiration to do what you’ve always wanted – and here I am, typing!! ^_^ Guess reading tons of mystery novels and romance ones paid up… Woohoo!! And its really accurate too!! It said I would get something I liked that week – and yeah, I got my Yugioh manga 3,5,6,7,8,10,15,16,17 and so on!!! Thank you!!!
C: …wait a minute, aibou. You were just scoffing last week that you didn’t believe superstitions. YC: Well *sweat drops* I changed my mind. Hey C, (+) and (-) is…?
C: Damn!! You said that to get rid of me!!! (pouts) and in case you were wondering, I got Kamira’s name from Kami (not including the sama in it), which means God and Ra, the Sun-God. ^_^ I thought it was a pretty good combination…
YC: Hey, I was the one who suggested it!
C: OK, fine. Well…what’s the formula for dividing matter? Is it –
YC: Ah, get away from me!!!!

Last summary: Yami has another dream – of Kamirah. She’s starting to haunt his dreams…he wakes up, and his wound is bleeding again – and he had just dreamt of her stabbing him. Oh god, Yami, you’ve gotta live!! They will be going to Egypt this episode (no kidding this time ^_^;;)

Disclaimer: Basically, Yugioh isn’t mine (sigh), the characters aren’t mine – but Kamira is though – and the idea isn’t mine. Duh.

Yugi sighed in relief, heaving himself down on a chair. He had finally stopped the blood flow. God…he wiped his hand over his sweating brow. It was hard. He looked at Yami’s peaceful look, and there was only one thought in his mind: It was worth it.

Yami was lying down on the bed. His blood soaked T-shirt was replaced with a blue sleeveless shirt, and the inner leather coat had been removed. Yugi had been running around the house in the past 1 hour, frantic of what to do. He had even contacted Bakura for help. But Ryou wasn’t here yet, though. Yugi sighed. He was starting to feel slightly dizzy himself. Yugi put a hand to his forehead subconsciously, and took his temperature.

Yugi yelled as it hit 40. He let out a sigh of relief as he heard someone ringing the doorbell of the Turtle Game shop. He recognized the glistening silver-white hair.

Bakura’s friendly face looked almost welcome to Yugi at the moment. “Ohayo!!” Ryou said cheerfully.

“Bakura-kun…you’re…you’re finally…here…” Yugi managed, opening the door weakly, before falling to the ground in a faint, right before Ryou’s widening eyes.

“YUGI!!!”

Yami awoke in Yugi’s room. He put his right hand to his forehead, and gasped in surprise.

The fever was gone.

He sat up, and took a good look at his left arm and shoulder. Good, the damned thing wasn’t bleeding anymore.

Yami looked around, feeling something was missing.

Where was Yugi?

His thoughts were answered when he heard someone coming up the stairs. He struggled to get to his feet, and for the first time in days, he smiled. He opened the door, expecting nonchalantly to see Yugi’s relieved face.

“Aibou….” Yami began, but stopped as he spotted a sad Bakura, carrying a limp body in his arms.

Yugi.

Yami lay protectively next to Yugi, now and then checking his temperature, and occasionally asking Ryou to fetch some ice from the refrigerator. Ryou was currently still digging for more ice.

How could this happen?

He recovered from his fever, which was a relief, and now his aibou – his aibou had the fever. And a worse one. 40 Celsius!! It was impossible.

He gently caressed the little one’s hair. The figure of the sleeping child looked so similar to an angel…Yami sighed.

So serene…so innocent…so pure… like a light. Yami’s little light.

His soul room was so dark…so black…was he even worthy of becoming the little angel’s aibou? The little one’s… there were toys everywhere – symbolizing innocence and serenity. It also meant sincere purity and white light.

Not black darkness. Like his.

Yami sighed, cradling the younger one silently in his arms, massaging his small back. His light subconsciously muttered something, and Yami craned to hear it.

“A…ibou…soul…room…”

Yami was dumbfounded. His hikari was calling for him? When he was sick? Oh, well…Yami concentrated, and found himself inside his soul. He looked around, and saw a light coming from Yugi’s soul room. He quietly stepped inside, and found his little aibou there. As he began running towards his angel…

He was shocked as he saw what was around him. The toys were there no more. Flames were engulfing Yugi’s soul room. And as he looked closer, covering his mouth as smoke quietly surrounded him. He saw his aibou lying on the ground, the Millennium Puzzle askew. He tried to shake Yugi awake.

//Yugi!!//
No response.
//Aibou!! Answer me!!//
/Ah…Ya…mi?/
Yami looked in relief at his little aibou, and hugged him in between gasps of air.
//God, I thought you were dead…//
/Ai…bou, Ka…Kamirah came…and set fire to my soul room…that’s why…I…ah…/ Yugi’s body went limp in his arms as his light took his last breath of air.
//YUGI!!//

Yami caressed the unmoving body sadly. “ Yugi…wake up…I know you’re kidding…”
No response.
“Yugi, please…”
Silence surrounded Yami. The silence of death.

“He’s not going to wake up,” a sinister voice said from behind him.

Yami looked around, and saw the sneering face of Kamirah peering down on him. Those turquoise eyes glinted with a tinge of amusement, and her smile carried the least hint of happiness.

Yami glared at her with a look that mirrored all the hate and despise he held in his heart for her. “GODDAMN YOU, KAMIRAH!!” He said angrily, trying to stop the tears that wanted to flow.

“What has been done, has been done. I can’t undo it!” Kamirah said, shrugging a matter-of-factly.

Yami let a silent tear roll down his cheek. His scarlet eyes were shattered and broken beyond measure. The Pharaoh’s soul was wounded…forever.

//Yugi…//

The single tear dropped onto his Millennium Puzzle.

The Millennium Puzzle glowed with a soft white light. The light engulfed the two of them. “What the…” Kamirah said in shock. The flames that had surrounded Yugi’s room a moment ago suddenly disappeared as the bright light engulfed the room. Toys appeared back in the room, and Yugi’s soul shone brightly. Sennen Eyes surrounded the two boys, and Yami Kamira could only look at them through squinting eyes.

Yugi opened his violet eyes weakly, and looked at Yami. His eyes widened.

“Yami!!”

Yami looked at his little aibou in joy as another tear cascaded down his front in his happiness. “Aibou! You’re alive!!”

Kamirah cursed. “Damn it…” she looked at the both of them, and her frown turned into a malicious smile.

“Well, if you manage to create such miracles, I suppose you should be a worthy adversary. I shall meet you soon, Yami. Meet me in the Great Pyramid…”

With that, Kamirah disappeared.

Yami and Yugi hugged each other tightly. Yami broke apart from Yugi’s grasp and looked at his “little brother” lovingly. //AIBOU!! You scared me there!!// Yami said happily, ruffling his angel’s hair. Yugi blushed. /Well, I thought I was gonna die…/

Something wet landed on Yugi’s cheek. He looked up. /Aibou…?/ Yugi asked worriedly.

Yami was crying.

/Aibou!/ Yugi said in surprise. Yami hugged his younger tightly. //I thought I was going to lose you, aibou…when Kamirah said that…// Another tear fell. Yugi looked up at his elder.

Could it be…that Yami really cared? Cared about him?

//Of course I care.// Yami said indignantly. Yugi turned scarlet. ‘Oh no, I forgot that we share the same thoughts.’ Yami held his little aibou’s shoulders gently, and looked into those big violet eyes.

//Listen, aibou. No matter what happens --// He clutched his Millennium Puzzle, //We’ll be there for each other. We will.// For the first time in his life, Yami smiled. A true smile. A smile with sincerity and happiness.

Yugi smiled too, and hugged Yami.

/Aibou!/

Yugi and Yami awoke at the same time, and that startled an alarmed Ryou. He jumped when the two identical boys looked at him in unison. Ryou slapped a hand to his forehead, his heart thumping.

“Can you two please not look at me like that? It’s like seeing a ghost!” Ryou complained.

Yugi and Yami broke their eye contact with Ryou and laughed. Yami put a concerned hand to his aibou’s forehead, and grinned.

“Cool! Aibou, your fever’s gone,” Yami said happily. Ryou checked his temperature, then his mouth dropped open in surprise. “Yami, you’re right!!” He showed Yugi the thermometer. “Your temperature’s only 36.5 Celcius!! It’s normal. How did it change…” Ryou stopped as he eyed the two suspiciously. “OK, what happened this time?”

Yugi glanced at his aibou, a benign smile on his face. “Nothing, Ryou…” He fingered the Millennium Puzzle lovingly, and gently stroked a finger across the carving of the Sacred Eye. He giggled.

‘Thanks to the Millennium Puzzle…’

Ryou smiled. “Well, you two should get some rest. We will have to go to Egypt through the Shadow Realm after this.” He bandaged Yami’s arm again, and sighed.

The girl who haunted and followed him everywhere in his mind…

The one he loved…

Had a dark side that threatened everyone. It was worse than he ever imagined…

The sweet face, with the shiny black hair that flowed across her face, smiled at him from some point across his mind. The divine smile…those blue eyes. Those gentle, sweet blue eyes…the hair that felt like silk beneath his fingers…

Would he ever get to see her again?

After some few hours of sleep, Yami, Yugi and Ryou were sitting in the middle of the room, each of their Millennium Items glowing as they struggled to teleport themselves to the Shadow Realm. The Millennium Puzzles glowed golden whereas the Millennium Ring shone with a bright burst of white light.

They each fell to the ground as their souls entered the Shadow Realm, their Millennium Items with them.

As they appeared in the celestial place, they closed their eyes as a bright light illuminated the area. “What the…” Ryou’s Millennium Ring glowed, and Yami Bakura split off his other. Ryou looked at his other in surprise. “Yami?” Yugi and Yami looked equally shocked.

“Nothing wrong with me being out, is there?” Yami Bakura bristled, as though Ryou had said something offensive. Ryou froze, and denied it. “No!! I just didn’t expect you to be out…”

“Well, have to help you save your koi, can’t I, Hikari?” Yami Bakura said sarcastically. Yugi and Yami turned their heads towards the blushing Ryou, and a Oh-I-knew-it-so-this-is-what-he-meant look appeared on their faces in unison.

“N-no!! She’s not my koi!!! What the hell are you thinking!?” Ryou said defensively, unable to hide his burning face. Yami shrugged, but winced as his shoulder hurt him. “Well – you never told us what happened during the date between the two of you…” He leaned closer towards the reddening owner of the Millennium Ring, and looked at him with a judge-like look. “Did you do anything _immoral_ to the poor girl? Huh? What, did you drag her into a hotel or something?” Yami said teasingly. “Her Yami didn’t appear to drag you off, huh?”

“I did NOT!!!!” Ryou yelled. “I did _NOT_ do anything to her!!!”

“Oy, Yami…” Yami Bakura whispered to the Game King, and motioned him to come. “Come here…” When Yami leaned towards Yami Bakura, he smirked. “You know what, on that _fateful_ night…”

Yugi leaned closer to Yami Bakura too. “Cool, what happened? Tell me!” Yami Bakura grinned evilly, and obeyed. “I was in the Millennium Ring, watching everything. As they looked at each other adoringly in the hotel’s restaurant…”

Ryou turned deep scarlet.

“I wasn’t talking about the restaurant! Tell me what happened in the hotel room!!” Yami said impatiently. Ryou slapped a hand to his burning forehead, and took a deep breath.

“I DID NOT DO ANYTHING TO KAMIRA!! YOU GUYS HAVE GOT IT ALL WRONG!!!” he yelled.

Yami, Yugi and Yami Bakura sweat dropped. “OK, if you say so…”

Their conversation was stopped when the Shadow Realm started spinning at top speed. The four of them closed their eyes, and waited for it to pass. They fell asleep…

Yami awoke to stare into the hot sky above. He sat up, and saw they were lying near the Nile River. He shook his little aibou gently. When _that_ didn’t work, he scooped up some water from the Nile River and splashed the cold water at his aibou’s face. Yugi woke up spluttering.

“What the heck did you do that for?” Yugi yelled at his aibou, wiping his wet face. Yami grinned sheepishly. “You didn’t wake up…”

Yami Bakura was awake, and had started brushing off the grains of sand on his body. He shook Ryou awake, and the four of them looked around.

“Kamirah said she’s meet us in the Great Pyramid…” Yami said quietly, and looked pointedly at the pyramid before him, the one with the Sphinx who so resembled an Egyptian God. As they entered, they cringed as they saw a variety of road forks before them.

“Now what do we do?” Yugi looked worriedly at his aibou. Yami stared into the twenty or thirty forks before them. “I don’t know, Yugi…”

Yami Bakura sighed. “Oh well…”

Yami Bakura chanted something in ancient Egyptian language, and the Millennium Ring, glowed with a golden light. When the light cleared, the Millennium Ring’s center arrow was pointing to the left.

“We’ll go that way. The Ring (No, not the J.R.R Tolkien’s ring…) senses the presence of the Millennium Orb there.” Yami Bakura said softly, and strode to the left. He stopped when nobody followed him. “Well!?”

Yami, Yugi and Ryou sighed. They just followed behind the angry ex-grave robber.
