This one is from Karma-chan. Personally, I have only read four graphic novels of it and is not very familiar with Battle Angel. Two of those that I have read are covered by the OVA's that I have. Rather interesting though-wish they had more episodes of this.

Okey, not really a manga (although technically, it is since manga is defined as comics, not just Japanese comics), but it really does come close to being a manga. That and I happen to have a weakness for stories that involves swords and sorcery fantasies.

Kuroi was Anotsu Kagehisa's guardian and the first Itto-Ryu swordsman that Rin and Manji fought. A total freak show. This quote is Kuroi talking to Anotsu before the formation of the Itto-Ryu and really best describes what the Itto-Ryu became later on.

Magatsu is probably the character I like most in Blade of the Immortal. He just oozes with kewlness. I wish I could be as kewl as him-really! Anyway, that is why this quote is here-that and I think that it is a pretty good line that really is a principal used in combat (taking command of

O-Makie is my next favorite Itto-Ryu kengo (accomplished swordsman/woman) after Magatsu. She is as an extremely good swordswoman who doesn't really want to wield the sword and has lived trying to deny who she is. She isn't really as insane or ruthless as the other members. All she wants to do is to live her life free from regrets.

Shizuma is an Itto-Ryu swordsman who, just like Manji, is an immortal due to the effects of the Kessen-Satsu (Sacred Bloodworms). He has been alive for over two hundred years at the time settings for Blade of the Immortal and has already killed well over a thousand men in the fields of

Here, Maya explains the reason why Saya exists and how she has been a pawn all along and that she is not really the last original. The last original was their mother who died as the humans experimented on her to create Maya and Saya.

This is in the first chapter when a monster (youma) asks how is it possible that a mere half human, half monster hybrid like her could possible have the power to defeat full blooded monsters.

Talking to her, Ilena tells Clare that Teresa died because the moment they began traveling together, she had lost the toughness and brutality that a warrior needs, but in exchange, she found true happiness in the moments that she shared with Clare. Upon realizing this, Ilena admits that she was quite jealous of Teresa in that regards.

This was Onizuka’s biker friends talking about how crappy their lives were. It was Onizuka’s way of getting Urumi to lighten up and try to live a little.
Hellsing

They needed to transport Seras Victorias to a mission in Argentina and needed to solve the problem of her not being able to cross running waters. The solution? The waited until she was asleep and then stuffed her into a coffin with dirt from where she was born and sealed the coffin tight so she couldn't break out!
His and Her Circumstance (Kare Kano)

It's a whole lot funnier when you see the sequence of events. One of her friends pulls out a cigarette and lights it while they are waiting for Tsubasa. Yukino, upon seeing this, freaks out, slaps the cigarette out of Sawada's hand, stomps on it, slaps her in the face, grabs her by the blouse, and starts shaking her while saying that with a freaked out crazy look in her eyes!

Mahoraba's Occult Club prez that Tamami and Kozue is a part of (albeit as ghost members) is my favorite character of all. Kooky as she may be, she is right though. We all live our lives in different ways. Instead of trying to conform by being what we are not, it is better to be who we really are.

I love this scene. Here the judge is commenting about the first opponent that Fenris faces in the tournament. Of course he is saying this while staring at her breasts with a binocular.
Rebirth

Here, Master Tae is referring to the promise she made to Rhett when she was only 16. Rhett had been her love and remains so and promised him that she would find a spell for immortality so that Rhett never need be alone ever again. In old age, she finally manage to create a spell for immortality, although it was not a spell to make her immortal the way she planned it when she first made her promise to Rhett. I chose this because it seems appropriate. The series is about a love and hate from centuries ago and three of the main characters are immortals. Plus, I think that this is just the type of quote that you can etch into a locket!

Destiny seems to be the thread binding the people of this world together. From one generation unto the next, they are bound together by fate, magic, and memory.
