Before we begin, I would like to say that the DragonballZGT series is a hard one to cover. Therefore, here at The Late Show, we will provide you with information on DragonballZ. Dragonball and Dragonball GT will not have information in this section.

In 1984, Akira Toriyama created a newspaper strip that what released in a Japanese comic book called Shonen Jump. This little comic was about the adventures of a boy and his friends that went hunting for treasure and of course, dragonballs. After awhile, DragonBall became everyone’s favorite comic and in 1986, it was a show on TV. An Anime Show. Once Toriyama ran out of ideas for Dragonball, he made a new series called DragonballZ in 1989. This series lasted almost 300 episodes, and at the end, Toriyama decided to retire, and enjoy life.

Later on, fans couldn’t get enough of the Dragonball series. So, the people that made the show in the first place took advantage of the opportunity and made their own saga, Dragonball GT. The series stopped just after 64 episodes. DBZ is a personal favorite of Jon.

Main Characters

Gohan- Goku and Chi-Chi's first son. He trained under Piccolo, and then under Goku. Gohan is responsible for defeating Vegeta after he fought Goku. In the Cell Series, he was able to reach SSJ1 and SSJ2 form and killed Cell. In the Boo Series, Gohan learned how to become Mystic Gohan under Dai-Kaioushin's training. Gohan was absorbed by Boo, but rescued by Goku and Vegeta. Gohan also assumed the identity as the Great Saiyan-man, a crime fighter. Afterwards, he married Videl and became the father of Pan.

Goku- main character of Dragonball-Z-GT and Bardock's son (Saiyan name: Kakarot) who was sent to destroy Earth. He was found in Mount Paozu by Grandpa Gohan and banged his head on a rock as a baby. Thus, he forgot about his Saiyan quest and trained under his grandpa. Then he trained under Master Roshi and Kami. Next, he learned under Kaiou. He married Chi-Chi and became the father of Gohan and Goten. He was killed fighting Raditz, wished back with the dragonballs, killed again when Cell exploded, and came back to life when Dai-Kaioushin gave up his life so that Gokou could live to fight Boo. Goku can reach SSJ1, SSJ2, and SSJ3 level. He can also reach Super Goku 4 level. At the end of Dragonball GT, Goku rode on Shenlong, fused with the dragonballs, and disappeared.

Krillin- Little monk who trained with Goku under Master Roshi. His true intention for learning martial arts is to find a good girlfriend. When he grew up, he married Android 18 and became the father of Marron. Krillin is Goku’s best friend, and after Goku passes, becomes Gohan’s best friend.

Piccolo- Evil son of Kami. He fought Goku in a Tenkaichi Boudoukai to revenge his father but was defeated. A few years later, he allied with Goku, trained Gohan, and became good. Piccolo was killed by Nappa but restored with the Namek dragonballs. He also fused permanently with Nail and Kami. Piccolo was killed again when the Earth exploded in the Bebi Saga. In heaven, Piccolo purposely caused trouble to be sent to hell to help Goku return to Earth in Dragonball GT.

Vegeta- Evil Prince of the Saiyans who grew up following Freeza's orders to conquer other planets. Vegeta was defeated for the first time by Goku and retreated. Then, he allied with the Z warriors in battling Freeza. Vegeta easily gets jealous of other warriors because he wants to be the strongest. Vegeta also vows that Kakarot's life belongs to him. In the Android Series, Vegeta reaches SSJ level for the first time. Vegeta officially became one of the good guys in the Boo Series, when he realized that Goku is stronger. In the Boo Series, he became one of Babi-di's zombies, Majin-Vegeta, and self-destructed in hope of destroying Boo. He was revived by King Yama to fight Boo. Vegeta also fuses with Goku to become Vegetto. In Dragonball GT, Bebi took over his body and he became Vegeta-Bebi. Then, he reaches SSJ4 level for the first time, and fused with Super Goku 4 to become Gozita. Once again Vegeta-Bebi was created when Bebi took over Vegeta's body. After reaching Oozaru form, Vegeta-Bebi was defeated by Goku. Baby fled from Vegeta's body but was killed by Goku.
