Characters-Kagome

Kagome

First Episode Appearance: Episode 1

Kagome Higurashi is a 15 year old girl, she lives in the "present" of Tokyo, Japan. After falling into the Bone-Eater's Well, and bringing back the Shikon no Tama to Feudal Japan, her life was turned upside down. She usually stays in Feudal Japan for a long time, this has interfered with her studies so her Grandpa has to make up diseases to keep her out of school. Kagome is believed to be the reincarnation of Kikyou, and just like Kikyou, she too possesses some spiritual powers of a miko (priestess), for example the ability to sense Shikon Shards and purify youkais (demons). Later on in the series, Kagome develops feelings for InuYasha, and it seems InuYasha feels the same way towards her as well, but InuYasha is not the only interested in Kagome, Kouga of the Wolf Demon Clan has fallen in love with her as well, he often refers Kagome as "her woman". As well as in the present, a boy named Houjo has developed feelings for Kagome, although, Kagome has hinted many times that she is not interested, Houjo still doesn't get it. When not in her time, Kagome can often be seen travelling with InuYasha and the gang, at first she is very clumsy and seemed useless, but later she can tap into her spiritual powers to help the gang. Her main weapon of choice is the bow and arrow, often used to destroy demons or purify them.
