Characters-Kikyou

Kikyou

First Appearance: Episode 1

Kagome is the riencarnation of Kikyou. Once a miko with great powers who was whorshipped by many and the guardian of the Shikon no Tama. However after sealing InuYasha, she passed away. 50 years later, she was resurrected by a witch using her bones and soil, she can only survive in the world of the living by absorbing the souls of the dead using her youkai Shinidamachuu (Soul Catcher Demons). She claims to be betrayed by InuYasha and he was the one that killed her, but actually it was Naraku's devious plan who caused this misunderstanding between the two. She once loved InuYasha, by now she is driven by hate, she even took the Shikon shards that InuYasha and Kagome collected and gave it to Naraku, but she claims its only a plan to get revenge on Naraku for killing her and seperating her from InuYasha since her feelings towards InuYasha are still the same as 50 years ago. She has such confidence in herself, that she can destroy Naraku because she knows that OniGumo's heart is still within Naraku, the heart that loves her. Kikyou uses the bow and arrow just like Kagome to purify demons, she can also sense Shikon Shards as well. Kikyou is the elder sister of Kaede, 50 years ago Kikyou and Kaede were always together, but now, its rare to see the two in the same scene. Is Kikyou still the kind miko that loves InuYasha 50 years ago or is she just the walking undead driven by hatred and despair of the past? Only time will tell..
