Daniel Washington and Margaret 'Mary' A Bryant Pyatt

Daniel Washington Pyatt was born January 29, 1846, in Missouri to Benjamin and Avis Eggers Pyatt and died in December 1928 at Cherryville, Crawford County, Missouri. He married in Crawford County, Missouri, on March 17, 1867, Margaret "Mary" A Bryant who was born February 16, 1836, to William and Mahaley Bryant. She was previously married to ? Duke.

Not long after Mary and Daniel were married, her father died in Crawford County, Missouri. The will of William A Bryan was dated November 19, 1867. It lists: wife, Elizabeth Bryan, all estate while she remains a widow, then divided between mine, and my wife Elizabeth's two present children [living at home], William E Bryan and Sarah Emeline Bryan. Heirs of my eldest daughter, Julian Chandler, decd; daughter, Mary Ann Pyatt; daughter, Emily Duke; son, John Bryan; and son James Bryan. Exr. William J Chapman. Wit: Frederick Molesdale & Robert H Coleman. Filed 31 Mar 1868. Will book A (114-116). It lists for Mary $5 in addition to what she had already received. All of the Bryan children went by 'Bryant'. I guess her sister, Emily, also married into the Duke family that Mary married into first. Did Emily then marry Daniel's brother, William Pyatt?

Daniel and Mary had the following known children:

From the "History of Crawford County Missouri" (or something to that effect):
"Elijah and Avis built a log house on their homestead called Pyatt Hollow and raised the eight children. Avis's son, Daniel and Margaret (Mary) raised their seven children in that log house. Her grandson Daniel Washington (Wash) also lived there. Most of his children were born in that log house too." Elijah was Daniel's step-father and also his Uncle (being the brother of Daniel's father, Benjamin).

Daniel and Mary appeared as follows on the 1880 census of Osage Township, Crawford County, MO:

Living nearby in Osage Township was Daniel's mother, Avis, and brother, William: By the 1900 census, Daniel and Mary were living with their son, Daniel, in Osage Township, Crawford County, Missouri (probably in the log cabin which was described above): This death certificate is a mystery to me. Does it belong to 'Margaret Martha A[my] Bryant Pyatt'?:

I think E M Lea is Eddie M Lea who was the first husband of Pearl Elsie Collier. Eddie died in 1930 and in 1931 Pearl married Mary's grandson, Calvin Andy Pyatt. There are inconsistencies such as her date of birth. But, the father is correct to be Mary.
