When Samantha Kingsley meets Hank Chavez, she devices a plan to use him to make another man jealous. Hank Chavez, however, does not take kindly to being used and satisfies his lust for her body before leaving her behind with guns firing. Back at home, Sam discovers her father's warm welcome hides his fear of the bandit, El Carnicero, who's been terrorizing the ranch for weeks. Headstrong Sam won't be intimidated and continues to ride the range, resulting in her capture by the bandits. Face to face with her abductor, Samantha reacts by pulling a gun to shoot Hank Chavez. No more pleased at seeing her, Hank eventually explains his use of the bandit's persona to drive Hamilton Kingsley from the stolen Chavez family ranch. Unable to forgive and forget the past, the two clash repeatedly while waiting out Kingsley. When the ranch is finally Hank's again, he finds it a hollow victory without Samantha to share it. Chasing her down in England, his attempts at reconciliation are rebuffed, until treachery brings them together again, and they return to Mexico to the ranch they both love.
