"Preamble": When I came home today, I was bombarded with the news that there was a new number one. OMG, was I immediately upset. Not only had I had a pretty crappy day, but now I had to come home to ‘N Sync at number one. I mean, there are some things I can handle, but that it definitely not one of them. However, I am happy to admit that I was wrong. ‘N Sync did not manage to beat BSB for the #1 spot! It was good ole Britney. Again my happiness was restored. On with the countdown!
September 30, 1999 Thursday – [At #3] This is suckin for a boy band. Can’t even get second to the other boy band. Aah, sweet justice.
October 1, 1999 Friday - I get an adrenalin rush every time I see that they aren’t even #2!
October 4, 1999 Monday - Just found out that the song was recorded in two places, ‘N Sync at one and Gloria at the other. The first time that the two met was at the video shoot. And the song is supposed to have so much emotional backing? Yeah right, give me a break. Emotional song where the artists did not even know each other.
October 5, 1999 Tuesday- They’re coming tomorrow! A very good practice for writing commentary. I’m so excited!
October 6, 1999 Wednesday - When asked why they were number two, Justin thought maybe it was because it was a slow song. Um, no, I think it’s pretty much because the song sucks. A lot.

October 7, 1999 Thursday - I guess this is #1 only because people had a chance to witness them (and their stupidity) yesterday. At first I was mad, but then I realized that they’re not worth it.
October 11, 1999 Monday - My grandma says if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all.
October 13, 1999 Wednesday - If you look closely at Lance (I know, difficult…), you’ll notice that it looks like he doesn’t really know the words. It’s hilarious.
October 14, 1999 Thursday - NEWS: Are being sued for $150 million for breach of contract (because they joined BSB’s label). Hmmm…
October 15, 1999 Friday - Lance seriously does not know the words! Just watch him.
October 25, 1999 Monday - Chris and Joey from ‘N Sync guest host. Okay, I know everybody has figured out how I feel about them, so I’ll just limit myself to commenting about stuff everybody should have noticed. *They are wearing pajamas. *At the beginning they sing along with the Backstreet Boys. *Chris actually looks semi-good without his dreds. I can’t believe I just thought that… But, as my brother says, "he still has that weirdo high voice."
- I am still laughing out loud hysterically at the position of this video. And at this: while they are complaining considerably, Dave announces that "three is perfectly acceptable; quit your bitchin’." That’s classic right there.
October 26, 1999 Tuesday - Due to the unbelievable results of today’s countdown, today you will be spared my wonderful commentary. I am so distraught. Especially because people can appear on TRL and inspire people to enthusiastically vote the next day, despite the fact that they might have acted dumbly. I mean seriously.
October 27, 1999 Wednesday - I think Carson says it best: "After tasting the fruits of the #1 spot for one very short day, they have fallen back to the runner-up spot."
October 29, 1999 Friday - It’s so obvious that Justin and JC are the only ones who ever get to sing solos…
November 4, 1999 Thursday - Exciting news about this video tomorrow. I taking that to mean that they are being retired.
November 08, 1999 Monday - The name of the song and the title of the movie don't match. Oh well, not like the movie is doing so well anyway.

I was expecting it to be good, due to other things going on and the fact that my magazine said the 11th would be a lucky day, but I didn’t realize how awesome it would turn out to be. Wednesday 9/15/99 - A word on Joe C.: he says he’s not a midget because he is evenly proportioned. However, midgets are evenly proportioned. That’s what the word midget means. Maybe he doesn’t remember what his doctor has told him, but look it up in any dictionary and realize that he is a midget.

September 23, 1999 Thursday - TRL played a very tiny amount of this video; next thing they’ll do is cut down the time to NONE at all, as it was with Korn. They’re always targeting the rock videos. It’s persecution I tell you, dirty persecution.
September 24, 1999 Friday - When he’s nearing LA, the map says he traveled through a place called "Parumph." WTF
