Rolf Brendel

Rolf Brendel, drummer, born in Hagen on June 13th, 1957. He had a sister Brigitte (2 years younger) who lives in Berlin and an brother Dietmar (9years older) who lives in Hagen. (See Nena for details). After Nena and Rolf split, Rolf start dating Maria. Maria was working with the management of the band. Rolf moved to Los Angeles for a year to go to the Porcaro (2 brothers of the band Toto) drumming school. He went back to Berlin and continued playing and touring with different bands. 1980 played drums and founder (with Nena) of the band "The Stripes". 1981-1987 Drummer, songwriter and founder of Nena. 1986 he played drums for the "Time Boys", produced by Jürgen and Nena. 1989 he played with "Mona Liza Overdrive", "Vive La Ka Bum". 1988/89 with George Kranz ("Move It!") 1991 with Crash N’ Burn ("Fever") Click here to see a 98 article about Rolf, of course is in German so I hope you guys can understand it. On 7/13/01 : During the concert in Potsdam (on July 13), Nena invited Rolf to play the drums for the song "?".
