Trolls are large, humanoid creatures made of rock. Many trolls leave their homes in the Ramtop Mountains to find work in the cities of it Sto Plains: Ankh-Morpork, Quirm, StoLat and Psuedopolis. They aren't very intelligent, but are very strong. They don't get along to well with dwarfs, since dwarfs are usually miners, and trolls are made of rock.
After a few thousand years, a troll will settle down to think about Things, and eventually turn into a mountain.
Troll philosiphy says that we are all moving backward in time - you can see the past, so you must be going toward it.
Not all trolls are humanoid. Gargoyles are trolls. There are troll dogs, troll horses and even troll ducks, which often sink.
