Dear Muslims:

In the light of recent events that have taken place in Yemen and the comments that
have been made by the British press on this matter and others, we feel it necessary
to state our views, unadulterated by the press.

As Muslims, we should defend our Islamic principals such as JIHAD even though
others hate it, even if it affects our individual interests. Hence, any State or group
which attacks Muslims should be stopped, by removable if necessary. We should
realise that there is no price which is too big to pay for this cause, even if it means
giving up our lives for Allah (s.w.t), for everything we do is to seek His Pleasure.
Muslims should understand that although we are living in Britain, it does not mean
that we refrain from speaking the TRUTH.

We ask all non-Muslims to live with Islam, not to try and kill it, because it is here to
stay. In this regard, we advice Britain and the United States of America to have a
dialogue with Muslims, because it is clear that there is a conflict, which needs to be
solved. The solutions that are being provided by the West are simply one-sided
and can NEVER WORK, they only make the problem worse. As Muslims we
demand to be treated as humans.

It is known that those of other religious denominations, for example Sikhs and
Jews, have training facilities, which are based on religious principles. When
Muslims have some training facilities organised for themselves, it suddenly becomes
labelled as "terrorism", even though in this century no single religious group has
been anywhere near as oppressed as the Muslims, with recent examples of Bosnia,
Kosovo and Iraq. The media onslaught with films such as "The Siege" has also
increased tension amongst the Muslims. In light of all this, it is only natural for our
Muslim youth to feel worried and feel it necessary to prepare themselves for similar
attacks in Britain.

Their Aim Is Destroy Islam

UK, USA and Saddam are all against Islam

This Ramadhan we saw American-British crusading forces attack the Iraqi
Muslims. More cruise missiles struck Baghdad in four nights than during the entire
Gulf War. The crusaders called this onslaught Operation Desert Fox, which was
operated from the Gulf Sea and from countries like Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi
America, Oman etc.

Saddam Hussein, instead of calling the Muslim Ummah to expel the British and
American forces from the Middle-east, has instead called upon Arabs to stand
behind him and unite against the aggressors, in the name of Arab socialism instead
of Islam. The US/British air-strikes don't look like they are over especially with
recent clashes in the so-called " no fly-zone"

Comments:

The bombardment of Iraq is going to be repeated over and over again. We are
astonished that people all over the world are doing operations against the US and
UK in retaliation and yet Saddam's supporters have done nothing whatsoever in the
last ten years, not even a petrol bomb has been thrown.

Most of the Iraqi people all over the world are so passive and so involved in dunya
(worldly affairs) and have done nothing to support their families and Islam, except
WAILING.

We call for all Muslims to respond immediately to situations like this, whenever
they happen. Sacrifices must be made in order to shift the humiliation from the
Muslim Ummah.

The Iraqi Muslims have to realise in and outside Iraq, that the aggression against
them combined with their non effort causes humiliation and grieve for the whole
Muslim Ummah, so stop wailing and get up and do some work so you can burn the
Kaffirs hand.

Allah (s.w.t) orders in the Holy Qur'an in Surah Baqarah verse 193:

"And fight them until there is no more tumult or oppression and there prevail justice
and faith in Allah; but if they cease let there be no hostility except to those who
practice oppression".

PALESTINE LIFTS THEIR ARREST;
Sheikh Yassin Is Freed From House Arrest

Palestinian police lift Sheikh Yassin's house arrest. Palestinian President Yasser
Arafat freed Sheikh Ahmed Yassin the founder and spiritual leader of the great
Mujahideen group Hamas, from two months of house arrest in Gaza.

Tayeb Abdel-Rahim, a senior aide to Arafat, claimed the Palestinian Authority
released Sheikh Yassin as a goodwill gesture for the holy month of Ramadhan.

But Sheikh Yassin, whose group has killed scores of Israelis in suicide attacks, said
the release stemmed from Israel's decision to freeze the latest Middle East
land-for-security accord. "Yes, definitely there is a political motive behind my
release now. The Authority has political directives to open a political dialogue
among Palestinians to confront Israeli intransigence," Yassin told reporters in his
house after his release.

Sheikh Yassin was placed under house arrest on October 29th 1998; six days after
Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signed the U.S. brokered
Wye River deal in Washington.

Zionist Israel has since suspended the accord, which requires the Palestinian
Authority to crack down on militants and take other security steps in return for
Israel's withdrawal from more of the West Bank.

Israeli government spokesman Moshe Fogel accused the Palestinian Authority of
adopting a revolving door policy by arresting Hamas officials and then quickly
releasing them. "The authority is once again underlying Israel's concern that all its
actions vis-a-vis Hamas terrorist activities are designed for the short term," Fogel
said.

Sheikh Yassin was confined to his home after his group claimed responsibility for a
car bomb attack in the Gaza Strip. One Israeli soldier was killed in the bombing.

"We had an understanding with Hamas and the Islamic Jihad that they would not
carry out attacks against Israel from Palestinian territories. That attack was a
violation of that understanding," one Palestinian official said.

Sheikh Yassin was also released from an Israeli jail in October 1997 in exchange
for two Mossad agents caught by Jordan trying to kill a senior Hamas official in
Amman.

Before his house arrest, Sheikh Yassin attacked the Wye River deal as worthless
and said the security clampdown it required of the Palestinian Authority would not
stop Hamas Israeli targets.

Comments:

Supporters of Shariah advise the Sheikh not to allow himself to be used by "The
Dirty Rat Arafat" - and make the fighting in Israel purely Islamic, for Allah alone. A
policy of "Zero Tolerance" should be adopted against the Israelis. We know that
many of the Taifatun Mansurah (Victorious Party) will come from Palestine, or
Sham in general, so do not use them for political gains but for the good of Islam,
Insha’Allah.

SAUDI'S FEAR ONLY US;
The Saudi Governement Arrests Muslim Woman

Saudi Jackals Arrest Innocent Woman.

Ms Suha Al Masary, the sister of Mohammad Al-Masary and the daughter of a
prominent scholar was arrested and transferred to Al-Haerr prison, Riyadh on the
30th November shortly after landing in Jeddah, "Saudi" America.

The reason for the arrest was Ms Suhar had "connections" with Muhammad
Al-Masary (her brother!).

The circumstances of the arrest demonstrated that the sister was considered a
threat to the Saudi democracy and a danger to their constitution for which
maximum security and an immediate arrest was required.

As a result from immense media pressure, the Saudi-American authorities were
forced to release Ms Masary yet no public apology has been made. How many
times is this going to happen before people realise the tyrannical behaviour of these
rulers?

Due to this arrest Supporters of Shariah demonstrated against the Saudi Dictators
in front of the Saudi Embassy.

This demonstration took place in order to remind the Saudi's and the world of the
hundreds of innocent Muslims imprisoned without trial in Saudi America (Egyptian
Style), especially after the Gulf War. Some of these prisoners include Scholars,
such as Salman Audah and Safar Hawaaly who have been imprisoned for speaking
the truth against this apostate regime.

ASSASINATION PLOT;
The United States Fears Usama Thus Hires Thugs

Is the United Snakes of America trying to assassinate Usama bin Laden?

Over a month ago, a Taliban military contingent ambushed and killed four assassins
hired to bump off Usama bin Ladin, who is the most wanted person in the US.
Sources say that the assassins were killed just two kilometres away from bin
Ladin's hideout.

The assassins included an ex-commander of Hekmatyar's Hezb-e-Islami, and three
other hired agents. The plan was allegedly prepared at the residence of a Canadian
Afghan who works for the World Food Programme in Kabul.

The plan was detected by KHAD, the Afghan secret service, which informed the
Taliban leadership. The road leading to the residence of Usama was secretly
cordon off and all the four assassins were ambushed in an armed encounter.

The Taliban are convinced that the effort was masterminded and financed by
Washington which has been trying to get bin Ladin since he was implicated in the
Khobar bombing case in Saudi Arabia. And earlier, in August this year, the US
struck a camp in Afghanistan with missiles to take out bin Ladin but failed since bin
Ladin had left the premises before the strike.

Comment: This is not entirely true, these Kaffirs have realised that for the mean
time instead of assassinating him they can use him as an icon to attack Islam.

Since they see Usama bin Laden as a terrorist they use their media to portray
practising Muslims who grow their beards and wear their hijabs as dangerous
terrorists.

By doing this they have created fear & panic among their tax paying citizens, and
have convinced them that more money should be spent on the military in order to
fight the terrorists who are seen mainly as Muslims.

They also use his image, as an excuse to attack Muslims as they did in the Sudan
bombings, claiming that Usama had connections with them although they could not
prove this claim.

MUSLIMS IN INDONESIA;
Storming Evil And Embracing Jihad

Indonesian Muslims storm brothels

Thousands of Indonesian Muslims attacked a red-light district near the city of
Medan, throwing stones at prostitutes and brothel keepers.

Protesters were demanding the closure of brothels. Dozens of people were
reportedly injured as protesters shouting Islamic slogans demanded the closure of
bars and sex clubs during the month of Ramadhan.

Reports said the violence erupted on Friday when 5,000 demonstrators led by
Muslim clerics marched into the red-light district.

Mobs unloaded liquor from six shops and burned them on the street. They also
damaged hotels and set their furniture on fire. A disco was also set on fire during
rioting in the town of Poso on Friday and Saturday.

In a separate incident on the island, the daily Kompas newspaper reported that
angry residents in the town of Jeneponto had set fire to the local parliament.

Comments: This is why the Prophet (s.a.w) said we would wish that Ramadhan
would last the whole year. It is good that the brothers and sisters in Indonesia are
doing something practical, and Muslims should know that it is a command from
Allah, to "Fight them until there is no more Fitnah and the religion (worship) will all
be for Allah alone". The Sheikhs of Saudi Arabia should take a leaf out of their
book, and we are looking forward to see bring about an Islamic revival against
Riba Banks, Kufr Courts, etc.

AFGHAN GIANT WRESTLER;
Does Anyone Stand A Fighting Chance?

Afghan wrestler takes on all comers.

A powerful Afghan wrestler called Habibullah returned from several years abroad
and challenged anybody in the country to a fight in Kandahar.

Nobody took up the challenge until two busloads of men from Kabul set off to try
their luck.

When they saw Habibullah, they realised why nobody had taken up his challenge
so far. As one Kabuli put it: "His arms were the size of my waist!"

Nobody seemed in a hurry to fight, but Habibullah's supporters began to call the
men from Kabul soft.

Well, this was too much and one of them, Mohammed Ehsan Motma'in, said:
"Okay, I'll fight. But we must agree on the rules first."

They agreed that anything was allowed but punches to the face.

When they entered the ring at the governor's residence, Motma'in was dwarfed by
his opponent, and no sooner had they shaken hands than Habibullah socked
Motma'in in the face.

He pulled back and then got another punch, this time on his mouth. As Motma'in
put it, he got "very angry". He dodged the third blow and by this time was getting
the measure of his foe.

At one stage Habibullah grabbed at Motma'in's beard and pulled out a chunk by
the roots. But Motma'in is an expert at Kung fu and began using all the tricks of his
art. He flattened Habibullah, trapped him to the ground and struck him as hard as
he could, including to his face.

The crowd pulled Motma'in back but senior Taleban officials said he should be
declared the winner and champion of Afghanistan.

In the evening there was a feast with a slaughtered sheep, but Motma'in said
Habibullah spent two days in hospital after his ordeal.

Comments:

It is important for brothers to realise that wrestling is a sunnah which Prophet
Muhammad (s.a.w) encouraged the believers to take part in. It is narrated that he
(s.a.w) was once challenged by one of the best wrestlers of the Arabian Peninsula,
and defeated him three times in succession. The man took his Shahaadah on the
third occasion. How many of our so called Sheikhs and Imams can follow in the
footsteps of our Noble Prophet (s.a.w)? Most find it hard to even stand up on their
feet, let alone fight. For any brothers wishing to practice this great sunnah, there are
weekly Sakina Classes, a unique combination of martial arts and wrestling, in
Finsbury Park Mosque every Monday.

TALIBAN ENFORCES SUNNAH;
No Dressing Like The West In Afghanistan

Taleban police cut down on beard trimmers (Allahu Akhbar!).

Afghanis who cut too much off of their beards could face the religious police during
a crackdown on beard sizes in the Afghan capital.

Patrolling teams of religious police from Afghanistan’s Taleban movement have
jailed dozens of men on charges of trimming their beards since the start of
Ramadhan.

While women are required to wear the burqa covering their body from top to toe,
men are ordered not to wear Western clothing and to grow beards to the size of
their fist, according to Taleban rulings.

The religious police have brought relative security and have also cracked down on
crimes.

Men who have trimmed their beards are jailed for 10 days. The ruling is also
applied to Afghanis returning home after visiting other countries.

"We have told the people many times to abide by the regulations, but some turn a
deaf ear and imprisoning them is justified because we want them to improve
spiritually," said the Head of the religious police.

The Taleban have drawn world criticism for their Islamic practices since coming to
power in 1996, but say they will not change their regulations, Alhamdulillah.

Comments:

The Taleban have made one more step towards the Sunnah by preventing people
from keeping ‘designer beards’. For us to be Muslims, it is required that we give
our bodies as well as our hearts to Allah (S.W.T). We pray that the Taleban base
their external policies on the Quran and Sunnah as they do internally.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
Did You Have A Question?

"Many mosques in Britain and many Muslim countries celebrate the Prophet's
(s.a.w) birthday, with special functions. Many of the Imams of these Mosques tell
me it is permissible. Please tell me whether it is permissible or not ?"

Neither the Prophet (s.a.w) nor any of his companions celebrated or marked his
birthday in any way or manner. Hence, we cannot attribute any particular
significance to such an occasion. What we need to remember and understand is
that our religion, as conveyed to us by the Prophet (s.a.w) is complete, therefore
nothing can be added to it. Allah (s.w.t) Himself says in the Qur'an He completed
and perfected our religion for us. If something has been perfected by Allah, it
cannot be made" more perfected" by man through any additions or amendment. If
the Prophet and his companions considered celebrating the Prophet's birthday to
be part of worship, then why did they not do it? They cannot be accused of
omission, since the Prophet (s.a.w) conveyed Allah's message complete to us. His
companions were keen to fulfil every obligation and recommendation he pointed
out. Since none of them celebrated the Prophet's (s.a.w) birthday, it follows then
that anyone who does, is in clear error and is practising a bidah (innovation).

It is reported on the authority of Al-Arbad bin Sariah that The Messenger of Allah
(s.a.w) said, " And verily he among you who lives (long) will see controversy, so
you must keep to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Rashidite
caliphs- clinging to them stubbornly. Beware of newly invented matters, for every
bidah is going astray." [Narrated by Tirmidhi who classified it Sahih]

Abdullah bin Abi Aufa reported that Allah's Apostle said, "Know that Paradise is
under the shades of swords." [Sahih Al-Bukhari]

Explanation:

The scholar, Qurtubi (ra) states, "It is remarkable in that in such a short statement,
the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) has put such great emphasis in the path of Jihad
with such eloquence. "In this hadith, the Holy Prophet (s.a.w) has incited towards
Jihad and also mentioned the reward and virtue of Jihad, inflaming the desire to use
the sword in the face of the enemies and to fight such a fierce battle that the swords
shade over the fighters, Under this lies the Paradise".

[Fathul Bari,p110,Vol.6]

A Scholar, Allama Ibne Jawzi states, the understanding of this hadith is that, Jannah
is achieved by doing Jihad. One companion asked the Prophet (s.a.w), "Oh
Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) what is the reason that every Muslim has to face the
trial of the grave, except the Shaheed (martyred)"? The Holy Prophet (s.a.w)
answered, " The sword over his head was enough as a trial." (Meaning, now he
would not be put in any trial or torment) [Kanzul Ummal, p596, Vol. 4]

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS;
"My Husband Doesn't Pray..."

-Question 1

"My husband doesn’t pray, abuses me, gives me beatings, and he doesn’t come to
the house often neither does he support me financially. What shall I do?"

For a woman who’s husband doesn’t pray, she should ask for a divorce, and the
Imam should grant her that if it is proven, unless he repents and is monitored by
good brothers to see he is praying regularly. It is not good for a practising sister to
stay with a non-praying husband according to all the Madhabs. A woman is
obedient to her husband as long as he is obedient to Allah (s.w.t). But even if he is
a praying person, he has no right to abuse his wife by hitting her in the face or
breaking her bones. If he does so, then again the Imam should grant her freedom
by a single Talaq, if it is proven that the husband is violent an un-Islamic way.

Also, if a man pushes his wife to go to work, which will lead to the missing of
prayers and free-mixing and exposing of her body, he is not a religious husband
and he cannot force her to do so. She should in this situation, ask for divorce if she
wishes, or if her parents see this and ask on her behalf. The husband should be
protective of his wife’s honour, religion and her state of affairs. This is the teaching
of Islam.

Sisters are advised to think seriously about who they are going to marry, making
sure the brother is a practising man. Leaving off the right of Allah (s.w.t) and then
using it only when there is a dispute is not acceptable, and any Muslim judge will
see it as an excuse to break the marriage off.

Question 2

"In our student union, ‘Salafi’ brothers are encouraging us to vote for Kaafirs who say they want to help the Muslims obtain a prayer room. They quote from
Sheikh-ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, who when he was asked about Mongols in the
Islamic State drinking alcohol said "leave them to their alcohol because if they are
not drunk then they are killing Muslims". This statement is used by the brothers to
support the principle of "the lesser of the two evils" and thus voting for the kuffar is
ok. Who decides what is the lesser of the two evils in such situations?

Most of the brothers are ignorant and as a result use verses in the wrong context. If
you vote for these kuffar, you will be responsible for every decision or haram they
do. We should unite to gain power for ourselves. Ibn Taymiyyah said to leave them
till drunk and then kill them. He never said give them the drink. It shows that these
brothers have misunderstood Islam, and do not wish to sacrifice anything. May
Allah (s.w.t) guide them and us.

Unfortunately, a common problem we find with our ‘Salafi’ brothers is that they do
argue and fight a lot with other brothers. I advise all of you to stand firm and ask
for your right to a prayer room with dignity. We can help you with a letter from the
mosque. "And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the
Kafirun (disbeliveers)". Al-Maidah, verse 44.

Sheikh-ul-Islam, Ibn Taiymiyyah in his fatawa said: " And it is known by necessity
from the religion of the Muslims, and by the consensus of all the Muslims, that
whoever legalises to follow other than Islam or to follow a Shariah other than the
Shariah of Muhammad (s.a.w), then he is a Kaffir (disbeliever). And his kufr is
similar to that of the one who believes in some part of the book (Qur’an) and
rejects some of it", as He Ta’ala said: "Verily, those who disbelieve in Allah and
His Messengers and wish to make a distinction between Allah and His Messengers
(by believing in Allah and disbelieving in His Messengers) saying "We believe in
some but reject others", and wish to adopt a way in between, they are in truth
Kafirun (disbelievers). And we have prepared for the Kafirun a humiliating
torment". [An-Nisa, verse 150-151] Majmua’ Al-Fatawa, Vol.28, page 524.

Ibn Taiymiyyah, also said: "And whenever a person legalises the haram-that is
agreed upon-or forbids the halal-that is agreed upon or changes the Shariah-that is
agreed upon, he is a Kaffir by the consensus of the Fuqahaa (Islamic Jurists)"
Majmua’ Al-Fatawa, Vol 8, p106.

What Do We Want?

This publication is not aimed at separating or causing too much debate among sincere Muslims. Without news from truthful sources, the only alternative is to take from our enemies; those who enjoin falsehood and forbid truth. Insha'llah, our aim is to provide Islamic education, news and discussion to incite the believers into action.
