Allah SWT says: "Let there arise from among you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining alMa'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding alMunkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are successful." 3:104

When Allah tells us to enjoin the right and forbid the wrong, this is a command that has certain obligations with regard to worship. Remember the story of a city where a man used to pray, and Allah sent Angel Jabril to destroy it. Allah told Angel Jabril, "start with that man first." And all of the scholars have agreed that this man was destroyed along with the group of kufr for not forbidding the wrong. He watched the wrongdoers and said nothing. If this man was destroyed for this, then what about us?

We live with people who legalize homosexuality and all other evil acts in front of our very eyes, while we do nothing. Evil acts are committed and legalized around our children and we allow it to happen with our lack of action. What will happen to our children?

What about our women when they must travel to get groceries and they see half dressed men? Are we not angry and worried about this? Do we not care? Our state is further helped by those who give speeches about Islam with designer thobes and say nothing. Maybe it is because they themselves live very comfortable.

And Allah SWT says: "O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islam), Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allah, and never afraid of the blame of blamers. That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He wills." 5:54

THE CONSPIRACY AGAINST IMAM JAMIL AL-AMIN
Not Just A Theory!

Our Leaders are targeted.

From 1992 to 1997, the FBI and Atlanta police investigated Imaam Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin in connection with everything from domestic terrorism to gun running, all the way to 14 homicides in Atlanta's West End, according to police investigators' reports, FBI documents and interviews.

As part of its' investigation, the FBI paid informants inside Al-Amin's Community Mosque in the West End neighbourhood. The Atlanta Police Department's intelligence squad compiled a list of 134 people associated with Al-Amin, most of them members of the mosque. The list included dates of birth as well as Social Security numbers. For some it also included criminal history and suspected roles in unsolved crimes.

The intelligence squad identified Al-Amin's "inner circle," a group of eight Muslims who detectives believed were Al-Amin's closest associates. One is now in prison for voluntary manslaughter.

Despite five years of investigation, Al-Amin was never charged in any of the slayings. The FBI investigation ended in February 1996. The Atlanta police investigation ended in August 1997.

Imaam Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin has maintained that the government is out to get him. For at least five years, these suspicions have indeed proved true. Internal Atlanta Police Department documents show Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin was a target of investigation in 14 homicides. All but two victims, Sammy Sawyer and Roderick Fulton, were killed in the West End near Imaam Jamil's Mosque.

During the investigations, the FBI and Atlanta police pursued two different tracks. The FBI investigated the Imaam as a possible "domestic terrorist." Atlanta police focused on homicides. The police suspected that Al-Amin and his followers were responsible for 14 homicides, according to police records. The detective who headed the investigation said that number later grew to 24. Most of the killings took place in West End, where Al-Amin lived.

The 14 homicides spanned nearly six years, from January 1990 until summer 1996. The alleged motives for the slayings were to get revenge, to kill off competition and to eliminate those who "knew too much," Masterson wrote in an August 1996 synopsis of the West End homicide cases.

Imaam al-Amin has been credited with clearing drug dealers out of his neighbourhood at West End Place and Oak Street by teaching Islam.

Police tried to claim drug connection in at least seven of the 14 West End homicides. The police inquiry focused on two of Al-Amin's associates, those being Ricardo Minor and Shaheed `Abdur Rahmaan. Both are now serving time in separate Georgia prisons for separate slayings.

At the time, one of the strongest allegations against Al-Amin, according to Masterson's synopsis, involved the March 16, 1990, slaying of James Ferrell. Ferrell was shot 11 times in the stairwell of a building on Lawton Street.

Minor was arrested and convicted of Ferrell's murder. Rahmaan testified for the state and was allowed to plead guilty to aggravated assault for his role in the killing.

After his conviction, Minor began telling stories of another conspiracy -this one headed by Imaam Jamil. He told police Al-Amin ordered him to kill Ferrell, according to the files. Masterson began scrutinizing Rahmaan more closely.

Masterson claimed Mr. Rahmaan was running a team of five robbers who targeted drug dealers. The robbery crew called itself "the Clan," police said. Most of the robbery gang, according to Masterson's synopsis, were from New York. Federal agents and Atlanta police found a New York-Atlanta connection throughout their investigations.

Masterson claimed Mr. Rahmaan's team included brothers Ronald and Michael Nealy, according to Masterson's synopsis. The Nealy brothers are now in prison; Ronald for aggravated assault, Michael for robbery. This all due to frame-ups and railroading Muslims to testify against Imam Jamil.

A May 1996 police review of eight West End homicides listed members of Rahmaan's robbery crew as suspects in seven of the slayings. Police made an arrest in only one case, but no one was convicted.

On March 3, 1997, Michael Nealy and two other men went on trial in Fulton Superior Court on an armed robbery charge. They were convicted, but the prosecution claimed they got a scare when unexpected visitors showed up in court.

Just as the robbery victim took the stand to testify, Imam Jamil showed up with two associates out of concern and sat in the front row. The witness said he couldn't identify the robbers, and the court records accused the Imam of intimidation.

With the jury out, Masterson and prosecutors told Judge Alice Bonner that Al-Amin was intimidating the witness. Masterson outlined his investigation for the judge. He testified that Al-Amin used intimidation to silence people. The intimidation included "robbery, murder and arson of witnesses," he said.

The judge banned Al-Amin and his associates from the courtroom. The next day the victim identified his robbers after a deal was made and lengthy coercion.

Having busted up "the Clan," Masterson attempted to bring murder charges against Imaam Jamil. But his bosses decided there was not enough to prosecute. Masterson is now a larceny detective.

"We took a long, hard look and the bottom line is we were unable to prove anything," said C.B. Jackson, the deputy Atlanta police chief who oversees the detectives division.

The federal investigation was much wider in scope. It started after the World Trade Centre bombing in 1992. Police records indicate agents focused on members of the Dar-ul Islam Movement. Dar-ul Islam means "House of Islam."

Agents in New York discovered members of a Dar-ul Mosque had received the same training as the suspects in the World Trade Centre bombing, according to a police intelligence report on Al-Amin.

Agents did not find any evidence linking Al-Amin to the bombing. But Al-Amin came under scrutiny in a widespread domestic terrorism investigation because his mosque is of the Dar-ul sect. Authorities suspected the United States cleric was overseeing the nation's 31 mosques and listed him as the "Imaam of Imaams."

An Atlanta police intelligence squad profile said Al-Amin was suspected of stockpiling guns for a "war against the government."

During the FBI's Dar-ul investigation, the bureau's Atlanta office spearheaded the inquiry into Al-Amin.

Agent Bill Gant, then a member of an anti-terrorism task force, took on the Al-Amin case. He investigated Al-Amin in connection with bank robberies, weapons violations, manufacturing and possessing explosives, harbouring fugitives and armoured car robberies, according to an Atlanta Police Department memo outlining the FBI's investigation.

The FBI used information obtained by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. The ATF tracked shipments of nearly 1,000 guns from Atlanta to New York, shipments that originated at the Al-Fajr Trading Co., according to the ATF. The trading company is next door to Al-Amin's West End grocery store.

Two Atlanta men and nine New York Muslims were arrested in the gunrunning scheme. The Atlanta men were convicted in 1994. One was listed in police reports as a member of Al-Amin's inner circle. But federal agents never linked Al-Amin to gunrunning. Gant teamed up with Gerald Landrum, an Atlanta police intelligence squad detective assigned to the anti-terrorism task force.

In 1995, they arrested Imaam Jamil al-Amin on a charge of aggravated assault in the shooting of a man in the leg in West End Park, across the street from the Imaam's store. But the aggravated assault case was dropped when the park- shooting victim, William Miles, claimed police threatened him. He never identified Jamil al-Amin as the shooter. Landrum said he did not threaten Miles.

The federal investigation into Al-Amin continued until February 1996, when the FBI turned over its findings to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Atlanta, said Celestine Armstead, spokeswoman for the FBI office in Atlanta. Prosecutor Bill McKinnon declined to file charges.

"The United States Attorney's Office always takes great care in deciding whether to charge anyone with a crime," said Gentry Shelnut, chief of the criminal division in the U.S. attorney's office. "We proceed on federal charges only when we believe we have actual evidence."

A midday crowd at the West End Barber Shop on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard was asked about the shooting. The barbers were young men in their 20s; so was their clientele --some of them, no doubt, students from the nearby Atlanta University Centre campuses.

"A lot of people thinks it's a set up," said one barber, who refused to give his name.

Others agreed, but did not want to be quoted. Then a customer waiting his turn spoke up. "I think it's unfortunate," he said. "A lot of it is not making sense, as far as the charges against him."

He was asked his name. "Serge," he said. And last name? "I'll refrain from giving that," he said, "because [the police] might stop me one day and want to get back at me."

Serge said he finds it hard to believe the deputies did nothing to provoke the shooting, that they were simply the victims of an "ambush" as described by the police. He continued, "I really am sorry for the family that has lost their loved one, but a part of me really is not mad at [Al-Amin] because of the way the cops are, the way they act. I don't mean to glorify a cop killer, or anything like that."

The police are simply out of control, he argued. He mentioned the Diallo case, in which four New York police officers fired 41 shots at an unarmed man, killing him. This man was a Muslim. He also said, "police recently mistakenly kicked in the door of a 90-year-old man and didn't even offer an apology."

"And we have not heard much at all about the discrepancies in the case, such as that there was a trail of blood away from the scene but [Al-Amin] had no wound when he was arrested, or why he would just start shooting when the arrest warrant was for minor charges."

Later, Al-Amin was charged with theft by receiving on the already questionable assertion that the car he was driving was stolen and the horrible "crime" of driving without proof of insurance.

Notwithstanding the now-exposed racial profiling by police, there is, for example, the New York police killing of Amadou Diallo, a Muslim standing unarmed and alone in the doorway of his own home, mortally wounded by 19 of the 41 rounds fired at him from guns wielded by four white officers. More frightening was their acquittal of any wrongdoing on the theory they had simply made a mistake.

There are the mounting revelations of murder and drug dealing by Los Angeles police officers arising from the confessions of one of its officers. And many cities all throughout the United States, police departments have been investigated for racketeering, money laundering, drug dealing and more increasingly for connections to unprovoked homicides.

Over the past 20 years, Al-Amin has served the people of the West End community here in Atlanta. He has established the Atlanta Community Mosque, providing Islamic education and guidance to his community. Imam Jamil Al-Amin has never stopped working to educate young men and women about the drugs which the Federal Government helped to supply the community with during the Iran-Contra scandal. While he worked to "forbid the evil" doings of the disobedient kuffar, he changed an entire community, al-humdulillah.

Here is the bottom line for Muslims...

From all this Muslims should not be alarmed or consider this to be out of the normal daily "grind". Allah says in Surah Anfal verse 83,

Every Muslim is strongly advised to read these words carefully. Allah gives the Muslims intelligence (information), then advice, and finally outcome. Allah SWT has warned us against the mischief of the disbelievers and has advised us to simply unite (i.e. make hijrah and give your allegiance, your bodies and your wealth to the Islamic state and to the Ameer Mu'mineen). And there is none more Knowledgeable than Allah!

The kuffar know the Warning of Allah SWT better than some of the Muslims today who are working and paying taxes to attain a "better or simple" living. The kuffar know that if you were to have a strong leader commanding you to forbid the evil as Allah has commanded in so many ayaat, that you would rise up and fight against them. The kuffar know that if you were to have a strong leader as during the time of Salaah ud-Din alAyyubi, the current crusades against you would be crushed and their lofty status would turn to humiliation.

Shaikh Abdullah Azzaam was killed in a car explosion by the kuffar for "enjoining the right" and leading the Muslims in Pakistan to "forbid the evil." .

Shaikh Usaama bin Laden was framed and forced into isolation, then used as scapegoat to arrest many Muslims who may speak out against the human atrocities and high level crimes in their countries.

Shaikh Umar Abdur-Rahmaan was framed by a paid informant for the kuffar (FBI) and later sentenced by a Jew to life in prison. He his currently under heavy guard and in total isolation without proper food or medical provisions.

Shaikh Abu Talal al Qaasimi, the leader of the Mujaahidin in Bosnia from Egypt, was kidnapped and possibly handed over to the Egyptian government to be tortured and killed. Read more about

Shaikh Abu Hamza was arrested in the middle of the night during a police raid on his home. His family were harassed as a result of his speaking out against involvement from U.S. and U.K. to enter Muslim lands with evil intentions. The government, after losing their case, has still not paid the law offices of Arani & Co., the Muslim law firm who represented the Shaikh.

And the government has not returned the Shaikh's passport or other personal belongings taken during the raid, which was two years ago.

Now, Imaam Jamil al-Amin has been pushed to the limit, jailed, convicted in the media, and charged with a crime in which they are seeking death penalty. These kafirs are attempting to use members from his Muslim and cultural communtiy. And there is a pattern with all of the attempts to silence our strongest Muslim leaders.

Imaam Jamil al-Amin leads the largest Islamic community of believers (those who forbid the wrong) in the United States. The number of masaajid that gave their pledge to him as their leader in the United States were many more than the 30 claimed by the media. His prior achievements in community organization and mobilization have clearly alerted the Federal police.

This is no surprise for us who read Allah's Book in eng or in Arabic. For Allah Ta'ala says:

Allah continues in the same ayah:

Allah has said that the Ummah cannot survive without proper leaders in Surah Anfal verse 73. The disbelievers know that the Ummah cannot survive as long as it splintered into various groups under weak leaders, so this is why they will do everything in their means to disunite the believers. Allah says:

The disbelievers are united in killing you unless you follow their ways and their puppet leaders. If enjoining good, which is praying, making hajj, paying zakat and fasting does not stop their invitation for you to join them in disobedience, then they will attack you slowly. However, if you believe in Allah and His Messenger (saw), and this causes you to forbid evil in the same way as the Sahaaba, they will take swift action against you. And Allah says also:

The sunnah of the kuffar will never change until the day of Judgement. This is why the Messenger (saw) said,

"A group of my Ummah will continue to fight until the day of Judgement." And Allah says:

It is these group of Muslims who know that their Lord has made a promise to them in Surat an-Nisaa' verse 74,

It is the believers who rush to the command of Allah, where He Ta'ala says:

My dear Muslim brothers and sisters, Remember what Allah Ta'ala has said in Surah aAli Imraan verse 149:

Our enemies are many and Allah has made them and us a promise. Let us never forget what Allah has revealed to us. Hold fast to your religion and your way of life. In some places of the world to wear a beard or recite alFatiha is a crime punishable by ten years of imprisonment. These kuffar are simply doing their job and the believers must do their job. Do not befriend or mix with them because Allah says:

And He Ta'ala continues by warning us of those who are the hypocrites, (i.e. those who called for Imaam Jamil al-Amin's surrender) in 5:52

Immigrate quickly or make intentions to immigrate. Pull all of your money out of the system of the kuffar (i.e. banks). File bankruptcy and stop all payments to the kuffar. Remove your children from the schools of the kuffar and draw closer together between yourselves. Sacrifice and work toward spreading the message of Hijrah to the Islamic state. Move away from the kuffar or at least make your intention to leave the state of the kuffar striving with your wealth and lives, and all that you have.

Give your allegiance to the Islamic state and to Ameer Mu'mineen Maulana Umar. Allah says:

To be angry for the sake of Allah, and want to help Imaam Jamil alAmin, you must make Hijrah. You cannot vote Imaam Jamil out of prison, nor can you remove him from prison without freeing Shaikh Umar Abdur-Rahmaan. You cannot buy his way out of prison, you must bust him out. Shaikh Umar Abdur Rahmaan had the best legal time that money could buy. Allah will free Imaam Jamil Abdullah al-Amin (insha'llah) when you obey His many Commands. Jihaad is the way forward and Hijrah is to prepare and strengthen your belief so that you are prepared to bust out all of our leaders.

Al-Jihaad is working with various groups and extra hard to alert the Muslims worldwide in many languages about the case against Imaam Jamil al-Amin. We ask every Muslim to make du'aa for Imaam Jamil al-Amin and not to be afraid of the kuffar because you are in their lands. Like Shaikh Abu Hamza has reminded Muslims, "you are in the land of the kuffar, but they are in the Kingdom of Allah."

AFGHANISTAN RETURN OF ISLAM
Conference Held At Finsbury Park Mosque

The conference began with brother Bilaal from America, giving a strong admonition to the audience to fear Allah and not forget the important and neglected aspect of hijra. The admonition was given also as a reminder that children in Britain were falling for the mischief and being smitten by the ways of kufr in Western countries.

In the next segment Abu Hamza started by giving a long-term explanation of the developments in Afghanistan, from the first calls of jihaad all the way to the emergence of Taliban in the beginning of the 1990's. With this, Abu Hamza gave the evolution of the Taliban movement as a necessity to halt the corruption that had come after the jihaad against the Russians had ended. After the Russian pull out, the Mujaahidin factions had begun to fight amongst each other for the fate of the hearts of the people and the resources of the land. However, the sun-rise of Islamic renaissance came when Afghani Islamic students emerged from universities in Pakistan like a dark storm cloud, converging on their homeland to purify it from the abusive management that it had come under.

The Shaikh went on explaining that the Taliban reform project included the opening of schools as well as setting up programs for the refugees and the orphans. A Qur'an school sprung up to teach the children their religion and still today, the order of the day is the Qur'an and the Kalashnikov. Once the question and answer section came, some of the old rumours and ignorance about the Taliban and Afghanistan emerged but were quickly and ruthlessly crushed with ferocity by the panel, who had been anticipating such prosaical outbursts.

The turn out was exceptional and those in attendance listened in rapt silence to perhaps one of the greatest phenomena to emerge in the Islamic Ummah in recent history. Everything from the security to the videotaping was handled professionally and there were no incidents to speak of.

The conference ended with a sincere plea to the audience to be aware of the plots of the Western powers and to come together by way of establishing committees for those who wanted to emigrate to the Islamic state. This would include satisfactory legal advice from Muslim solicitors (lawyers) on how to reach their destination without arrest and how to lease land in the country.

May Allah reward all those who were in attendance and make successful our intentions and those Mujaahidin who fought and sacrificed to provide us with a place to migrate.

CRUSADES AGAINST INNOCENT MUSLIM CHILDREN IN IRAQ
Where Are The Mujahidin?

The US, Britain and their UN Allies did this with the help of their taxpaying citizens. Today, the bombing continues and the disbelievers use sanctions as their new weapon of further destruction.

"The Christians and Jews will never cease attacking you, until they turn you back away from your religion of Islamic Monotehism, if they can." Al-Baqarah ayah 217

What has befallen the tiny population of the 22 million people of Iraq? In its past 20 years, this nation has been involved in two major wars. Before the Gulf War, the people of Iraq had not even finished burying all of their dead from the war with Iran. Yet the Western war machine continued, leaving a trail of bodies wherever it went. Its' attack is based on the following forms:

1. The actual attack on the public sector of society
2. The destruction of the people of Iraq through the health care system

The Public Sector

Many of us eat luxurious amounts of food each day. This is in addition to what we feed our children. Some of us eat several meals a day, enjoying our choices between one food and the next. However, 250 children in Iraq were not able to take advantage of this luxury that we enjoy. Two-hundred and fifty children had no food.

Instead, these children simply died. And they continue to die every month, which results in 5,000 of them going to their grave. With each passing year, they have steadily died, leaving a trail of 60,000 murdered annually. This fact remains as just a mere statistic to the unflinching general public, including Muslims.

Children are not the only ones starved into death. There are also another 2 million lives that have been lost since the United Nations acted as the world policeman and poured out a torrent of fire over the skies of Iraq. One official, speaking on NBC Nightline during the war, commented that Iraq would "never recover from this type of punishment" and that "we have pushed Iraq back at least one thousand years technologically."

All of this was said with the most smiling faces, as children cry for the last time and are rocked by their weeping mothers before they quietly pass off into death.

One would not think that the land of Iraq had any children whatsoever, when the streets are observed to be curiously absent of the cries and laughter of teenagers and toddlers. No one is kicking a ball in the street, no boys are seen riding bikes and not one single girl wanders about, giggling with her other schoolmates.

This is precisely due to the fact that Iraq has become an open graveyard to many of its' inhabitants. Absenteeism remains the order the day in the wake of the 3,500 schools and masaajid that have been destroyed to protect "one small country," according to former U.S. president George Bush.

The children that are still able to attend the small makeshift schools that are ran by volunteer teachers, suffer from acute psychological disorders and forget simple phrases. This on top of physical sicknesses from breathing in chemicals belched into the air by the Allied war machines. This would seem to be the end of not just a generation, but a whole group of people.

Homework doesn't get turned in for correction, but how could it when there is no paper, or pens and they forget the smallest orders that they have been given as some of them are still traumatised by the war that "lit up Baghdad like a Christmas tree."

Teachers struggle to come up with topics for children to talk about and assignments to write attempting to break the monotonous silence and crushing depravity they are living in. They are repeatedly asked to use their imagination and to imagine other places, since this imagination is an escape from the prison of reality.

If reality can be escaped, then the pain will stop. The problem comes when they awaken back to a house where 1 in 4 children are malnutritioned and by the age of four years have irreversible side effects. Back to a reality where their schoolmates are dead.

Back to a reality where 152% absenteeism is not just due to reluctance to attend, but due to the fact that most of the students died in the war, or following bouts with malnutrition, influenza, chicken pox and many other diseases that could easily have been eliminated with the proper inoculation.

These realities blot out all imagination and make even a sunny day in Iraq gloomy for all the adults, which means that the children will follow suit and also share in the depression.

The scholars that didn't escape before the war, such as Shaikh Muhammad Jawaad Shirri, were either killed or bombed inside of their masaajids on Fridays when the War in the Gulf started. And the bombing just continues.

With each passing day, target practice is being carried out by the protectors of human rights on select buildings and residential districts in the same land that three of the four Imaams walked in, not to mention the sight of the great battle of Karbalaa'

Allah says: "And when it is said to them: 'make not mischief on the earth,' they say:'We are only peace-makers.' Verily! They are the ones who make mischief, but they percieve not." 2:11-12

Health Care

In the past 9 years of sanctions, we have seen the destruction of a people from diseases that are elementary and were easily curable years ago. Saddam was vilified for his attempted extermination of all Kurdish people in the north of Iraq during the war with Iran. Yet no one is vilified for the attempted extermination of the people of Iraq over the past 9 years.

In this time, small pox, which had almost been eliminated from the population of Iraq, made a startling come back, along with its' friend meningitis, previously unknown to the people of the Fertile Crescent region. It makes matters worse when the overworked and stressed doctors have to use the same syringes over and over again. This spreads disease as needles are used without being properly sterilised.

And how can we expect them to do their level best with patients, when the entire industry of Ambulances, trucks for hauling garbage and the Emergency force have been completely disabled. The toilets are a place of plague since the sewers have overflowed, forcing their contents back through the source where they came from. Not one single siren is heard from the emergency vehicles, as spare parts are unavailable. Those who live in locations that require help from an ambulance or firemen are just made to "rough it" and await death with almost a hope that through that, all of this misery will come to a stop.

We cannot forget to do our justice and make mention of the thousands of death certificates that are handed out in what is left of the hospitals daily. When there is a shortage on the certificates, they just use them again and write on the other side. This has a great familiarity of what the UN are doing to Iraq. A slow and quiet, painless annihilation of an entire civilisation is much more evil than the publicised death camps of Adolph Hitler.

How easy it is to sleep at night, as screams from the other side of the world don't reach your ears. The food that you eat must be rich in flavour as there are people in the land of Iraq that haven't been able to have any whatsoever. How good it must feel to go outside and breathe in the summer air and enjoy an afternoon breeze, not like the people of the Fertile Crescent, who cough with each breathe of polluted air that they take into their lungs.

Just how long can we stay back and remain indifferent. How long can we have sweet dreams, while the children of the Muslims have nightmares about their future?

How long of a period of time will it take before we face up to the fact that the world is writing out a global death certificate for the Muslims, with Iraq being one of the first signatories? Do we think that we have that much time to waste where we can argue over whether the suffering Muslims in this area deserve our help or not?

Too many people pay lip service to Islamic history when they gush over all the glory of past Islamic empires. Does not Iraq play some part in that? Is not Iraq the place that brought us the works of Sufyaan ath-Thawri, Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Muhammad ibn Idris ash-Shaafi`ii and Abu Hanifa?

Better yet, is this not the place where many of the Sahaaba, including `Abdullah ibn Mas`ud and `Ali ibn Abi Taalib had students, along with such honourable residents as Husain and Hasan and A`isha?

And still greater, did not the Prophet Yunus (Jonah) walk the land of Iraq in the now uninhabited city of Ninaawah (Ninaveh) to preach to a rebellious people? Are not the Prophets Dhul Kifl (Ezekiel), Irmiyyah (Jeremiah) buried in Kufa, which was bombarded with firepower from the sky by the Allies during the war?

When we are talking about Iraq, we are not just speaking of an Iraqi heritage. Indeed there is an Islamic heritage that goes back over a thousand years. But we are also speaking of the prophetic heritage, where men who received revelation were laid to rest in these very sands.

Yet they receive no peace in their slumber in their graves, but only trauma and disturbance. Let the Muslims come together, stand up and return this area to a peaceful state, and let us allow the Prophets, the Sahaaba and all those great Islamic personalities buried there to enjoy the bliss Allah has given them in their graves from the good works that they used to do when they were alive.

So what must we do?

Allah says: "Fight against them so that Allah will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the breasts of a believing people, And remove the anger of their (believers) hearts..." 9:14-15.

There are two types of people involved in the crusade against innocent children in Iraq. The first group are the Christians. This first group are led by the second group, which are the jews. The jews have long been involved in the campaign to destroy Iraq, which is the center of Islamic learning.

The jews have made great recent advancements in their aim to control the internal and external politcs of both United States and Britain. As a result of their success, and in their attempt to gain control of Muslim lands as well as protect the growth of the jewish state, Israel has convinced the world that Iraq must be dealt a severe punishment.

Israel has always been at war with Iraq due to their inability to cool the hate between them. The long running campaign to kill Iraq, which began to grow militarily with its nuclear missile program during the U.S. funded war against Iran, has resulted in a genocide program.

Israel is at the bottom of this war with Iraq, which is a part of their attempt to destroy Islam. The leaders of Iraq are not Muslim, and many of the people are not behaving according to the ways of Islam. Despite this, Israel has always felt threatened by Iraq who once aimed its missiles in the direction of the jewish state. Iraq is the base of Islamic learning and history. Many great Islamic leaders have been educated in the area where Iraq is located. And so the war has erupted against the center of Islamic history.

Many innocent Muslims are caught between the decision of supporting the women and children of Iraq and condeming Saddam Hussein. This is the very reason that Saddam Hussein is allowed to stay in leadership and supported indirectly by the jewish controlled west. However, Allah says: "And what is wrong with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah, and for those weak, ill treated and oppressed among men, women, and children, whose cry is, 'Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors, and raise for us from you one who will protect, and raise for us from You, one who will help." 4:75

The first action that all Muslims must take is to divest themselves from the west. The Muslims should stop paying any taxes, sell off their property, withdraw their money from all banks, quit their work, and either fight the kuffar by any means or simply make hijrah to the Islamic state where they can renew and prepare their Iman (faith).

The second step is to go to work for the Islamic state and help work toward spreading Islam and establishing Khilaafa. Allah says: "The disbelivers are united against you, and unless you the Muslims of the world do not do so (i.e. unite under one chief ruler - Khilaafa), there will be great fitna, wars, and polytheism."

When you read this story of how our children are being wiped out through legalized genocide at the hands of the jewish controlled west, take action for the sake of Allah. Do not be one of those questioned on the day of judgement and when asked by Allah, "what did you do for My Ummah?", you say: "I tried to prosper in the lands of your enemies using hikmah."

It is not hikmah to live among your enemies, supporting them through your numbers. It is not hikmah to deny the Islamic state the knowledge that you gained from the Help of Allah. It is not hikmah to give da'wah in the lands of kufr when the weak, oppressed, children and women are crying out for help in Iraq and other parts of the world.

However, it is hikmah that you migrate or make jihad. Please see the article "Hijrah Detailed" .

REFORMATION AND ISLAMIC MOVEMENT
"Forbidding The Evil"

Islamic Movement begins with the understanding of the correct use of information. Today, many Muslims are only informed, thus they only learn to be tape recorders of what they know. But this was not the way of the Tabi`iin (may Allah be pleased with them). When the Companions (RAA) learned an ayah of the Qu'ran, they learned not only its recitation by memory, but also how to implement what they had just learned.

Unfortunately for us, today is not the case. We only learn today to have shouting matches and to show off what we know when it is detrimental that we do more implementing than speaking. Ask yourself, Am I learning so that I can go and implement what I know like the Mujaahidin in Chechnya or those making hijra to the Islamic state? Or is my aim, possibly without realizing it, only to show off what I have learned from those of the past (may Allah be pleased with them)?

The Prophet (saw) once said in a well-known hadith (See Bukhaari and Muslim), "There will be some people who will be reading the Qu'ran and they will be cursed." This is because they use to learn the commands of Allah and did not act upon what they recited. And they go against it or they sell their knowledge for a miserable price.

Informing to reform should be our aim. Reform is not only enjoining the good, but it is forbidding the wrong. This is so crucial to understand. This comes especially when all the hypocrites and enemies of Islam target you today. You must not be afraid to implement what you know. If you fail to implement what you know, it is as if you never learned it. It is only when you understand this that you will be successful in Islamic Movement.

We should take heed from the first Islamic reformer, the Messenger Nuh (as). This noble soul came at a time when the Shari`a was in complete decline. Previous to Rasoolullah (saw), there had been Shari`a for 1,000 years without interruption. No one had opposed it or made a system contrary to that of Allah's (SWT). But in his time came the first people to make idols and worship them, the first fitnah. He was sent to reform the people, to revive the call to the authentic way of Islam. When he did this, he of course met obstacles. He dutifully came with the book that Allah I had told him to deliver unto his people.

However, they only replied back to him with, "A man possessed, in complete insanity." Nuh (as) had no choice but to call on his Lord, who retaliated on his behalf by destroying that nation with a Flood. But all of this only came after action, when he had TRIED to reform. Sometimes, when we try to reform today, we don't do as much as we could do. When we fail, we then become distraught at what we think was the fault of someone else.

This is not the way. Reform is a constant process, which requires sacrifice, and the great reformer Nuh (as) understood that. This is why he tolerated all the insults and all of the mocking laughter and jeers for the 950 years that he was giving da`awa. Many of us would have given up after 90 seconds.

The next reformer that we should look at is the prophet Saalih (as). He came right after the kingdom of `Ad had been destroyed for not listening to their reformer, prophet Hud (as). Saalih (as) spoke to his people and gave them the message to improve their ways and to clean up their act. They asked for miracles and they received one, which was the miraculous she-camel that jumped from the rock. This proved not to be convincing enough for them, so one of them decided to destroy the she-camel. All the while after that they mocked this messenger and laughed in his face. This did not discourage Saalih (as), who warned them, "Enjoy yourselves for a few days, and then the decision will come." When those days passed, the decision did come. Allah's (SWT) judgement was poured out and the people of Saalih (as) ceased to be.

Many in the 'modern' world would see this as a failure, since the punishment of the Lord of the Universe came upon these people for their disobedience. But it was not a failure at all. What Allah (SWT) observes and observed from the Messenger Saalih (as) was not how many people he was able to convince of the truth of his message, but whether or not he was able to present the message.

Did he present the message? Yes, he did. Did he endure hardships? Yes, he did. In spite of that, did he still remain steadfast on the mission? Yes, he did. Then the prophet was still successful, irrespective of what the final outcome was. Many prophets were killed delivering the message by the Jews, but Allah Ta'ala still counts them as successful, not from who they collected as believers, but by their effort and their refusal to cease carrying the message.

Shaikh ulIslam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhaab understood this well when he first proclaimed his mission in the Peninsula more than 100 years ago. The entire genesis of his mission laid in calling all the schools of thought in Islam to rejuvenate themselves through reform and to do the proper action, which was to fight grave worship, as well as the foreigners, that were even back then tip toeing around the Peninsula. This involved first learning the knowledge, and then willing to implement it. When he died at 91 years of age, the whole world hadn't been cleared from grave worship, just the Peninsula.

But Ibn Abdul Wahhaab was still counted as successful. Why? Because the effort put forward to revive the Ummah and to call it to the most important of its duties far outweighs how many people he was able to take hold of with his da`awa. This is why Allah I preserved his message and still today, people by the works that were written by the Shaikh. Even if you look as if you are losing, if you exert all of your efforts for the sake of reform of the religion of Allah Ta'ala, then after you, Allah Ta'ala will preserve your message.

Allah is watching our actions and us. He knows our intentions and is checking to see if we are going to put into action what we know. We should heed a lesson of long ago, when Genghis Khan humiliated the Muslims, and he said to them: "I was sent as a punishment for you by your God, because you did not practice what you preached." What you will learn from this very important piece of history is that the Muslims were caught up in only reciting Qur'an. They left off a very important part of their Islam, which is Jihaad, forbidding wrong.

Everyone who wants to do reform should learn from Islam the following points that can be taken from the prophetic history above. The first is to collect and put together what you are trying to revive from the religion of Allah. In this case it is the hijra. The next is to present it to the people. Following the example of Nuh (as), do not expect immediate results from the crowds of people around you. When people become engrossed in habits, those habits come to represent the way of life that they understand to be the truth.

Next is not to be mournful when others reject you and hurl insults at you, which will happen anytime you go out in the path of Allah. Shaitan most assuredly will try to counter-balance whatever work it is that you want to do and it is the sunna of all prophets to undergo such hardships. As a follower of the same mission, you should no doubt expect to be tested in the same manner.

To implement what you have learned from the prophet Saalih (as), you should warn the people of their obligations and not be scared to tell them the penalty of what awaits those who do nothing about their state. At this time, there may be physical confrontation and maybe even character assassination in the public's eye. This has to be expected an taken into consideration, since it is the Sunna of the prophets.

Remember your mission and stay focused on the matters at hand. Always remain cool under pressure like the prophet Saalih (as) and do not allow the people to aggravate you. If things worsen, isolate yourselves from them, but continue to visit from time to time and spread the message.

The lesson to be implemented from Shaikh Ibn `Abdul Wahhaab is to learn longevity. Recreate yourself in new ways and reach people through different mediums. Those who you want to reach aren't all on the same wavelength. You will find some that will digest tapes, others magazines and still others books and speaking engagements. Go to the people and show diversity so as not to have your da`awa limited.

If your da`awa is only in tapes, if the cassette market fails, so does your da`awa. If there is only one person that has knowledge, if that person dies, so does the da`awa. Make it possible to duplicate the knowledge through teaching others and making them copies of the message that you are introducing. Finally, you should call out to others who share the same understanding or who may want to hear this understanding.

When you do this, the public is able to look at your message. Those that were unavailable to the message are now able to hear it. This includes radio, television, cassettes, video and Internet. All of these avenues should be utilised to spread the truth of the message.

Lastly, remember that you are not just working to inform, but also to cause the action that you need, for people to reform. Keep in mind the hadith of the Messenger, "Whoever revives a lost sunna of mine, it is as if he had freed twenty slaves of the Bani Isma`il." This hadith is just regarding a sunna. Now imagine the reward of reviving a fard (compulsory) thing, such as jihaad, tawhid and HIJRAH. Everything that we do is for recognition from Allah Ta'ala, not from people, so we should not expect fame or personal aggrandisement. The reward and recognition of our work comes from Allah Ta'ala, so we should keep this in mind when pursuing our mission.

Reform is what we need badly, not just more information. Many of us already know, but how many of us can say that we are acting upon what we know. Insha'llah make du`aa that Allah I saves us all from this great fitnah of our time. Make du`aa that Allah raises our imaan to make hijra, make du`aa that Allah I raises our spirits high and opens our eyes to see that our children are being slaughtered in Iraq by the thousands.

Make du`aa that Allah Ta'ala raises our conscientious level to understand that if the United States and Israel can refuse medicine and food to little boys and girls under 5 years old, then what will they do next to the Muslim children among their lands?

May Allah I save us from this fitnah. May Allah Ta'ala give us courage to fight our enemies with our tongues and our limbs. May Allah Ta'ala give us discipline to channel our anger against our real enemies and the enemies of the world. May Allah Ta'ala give us patience to tolerate each other until our Khilaafa is born and our bodies are given back to Allah Ta`ala.

Help your brothers and sisters through reform and please seek knowledge with the intention to do action and safeguard yourselves against finger pointing, complacency and laziness. May Allah Ta'ala help us all to be Mujaahidin.

Thursday 18 May 2000 Mujahideen Derail Russian Train

By the Grace of Allah Most High, the Mujahideen successfully destroyed earlier today (Thursday) a Russian Military train that was travelling across Ingushetia. Mujahideen sources confirm that the train was derailed and then overturned after mines destroyed the track it was travelling on. No specific count of enemy casualties could be confirmed at this time, but Mujahideen sources confirm that several injured Russian troops were seen shortly after the train overturned. The attack is the third strike conducted by the Mujahideen against Russian forces beyond the Chechen borders.

Wednesday 17 May 2000 Several High Ranking Officers Perish In Doomed Helicopters

By the Grace of Allah Most High, the Mujahideen succeeded in shooting down two Russian Military helicopters from the skies over western Chechnya. Mujahideen sources confirm that several high-ranking Russian officers were on board the doomed aircraft and are confirmed to have been killed in the incident. The official Russian news agency also acknowledged the loss of the two helicopters.

Monday 15 May 2000 Lies Continue To Pour Out From The Russian Propaganda Machine

The Russian Military often reverts to the international media to disseminate false reports that large groups of Mujahideen are being killed or captured. Such false reports are published to conceal the weaknesses and numerous defeats suffered by Russia during the war. Many reports of 'Mujahideen being killed or captured' are in fact showing defenceless civilians being slaughtered. However, despite lacking credibility, Russia continues to depend on this tactic to twist facts and portray a false image of the war's reality. Unfortunately, many media outlets in the Arab and Islamic worlds publish the lies reported by Russia and its allies in the Western media. The Arab and Islamic media make little or no effort to substantiate facts and verify such reports.

Sunday 14 May 2000 Withdrawing Russian Units to be Replaced by Pro-Moscow Militia

Mujahideen sources have confirmed that Pro-Moscow Chechen militia may replace Russian Military units withdrawing from areas in southern Chechnya. The Pro-Moscow Chechens are preparing to police the evacuated areas; however, they have been armed only with light infantry weapons, including light machine guns and sniper rifles. This is a clear indication that Moscow mistrusts its own supporters in Chechnya, and is unwilling to provide them with heavy equipment, including armour and artillery.

Mujahideen Intelligence operations have uncovered the upcoming plans of the Russian Military in Chechnya; the Mujahideen intercepted communications between Russian officers and between Russian soldiers and their families. The intercepted messages revealed Russian plans to withdraw from large swathes of territory in Southern Chechnya.

Friday 12 May 2000 From Grozny to Ingushetia: Mujahideen Batter Russian Forces Across the Caucasus

By the Grace of Allah Most High, the Mujahideen launched a series of stinging raids against Russian forces across Chechnya on Thursday. The Mujahideen also launched their second major strike against the Russian Military in areas beyond the Chechen border. Mujahideen sources confirm that a total of 16 attacks were launched in the past 48 hours; more than 80 Russian soldiers were killed and 11 vehicles, including three tanks and seven armoured personnel carriers, were destroyed in the attacks.

Wednesday 10 May 2000 Defeated and Disgraced Russian Forces Withdrawing from Areas in Vedeno and Shatoi

Mujahideen sources have confirmed that Russian Forces are withdrawing from several areas in the provinces of Vedeno and Shatoi. The Mujahideen have verified that hundreds of Russian armoured vehicles were detected abandoning selected areas in the two villages. The enemy has also ended a failed two month-old attempt to detect the positions of the Mujahideen in the mountains. All Praise be to Allah Most High.

Monday 08 May 2000 Mujahideen Shoot Down SU-24 Bomber

By the Grace of Allah Most High, the Mujahideen shot down a Russian SU-24 fighter-bomber on Sunday. Mujahideen sources confirm that the bomber went down in the area of Bashi-Yurt in the southern mountains of Chechnya. Sources close to Commander Shamil Basayev have confirmed that a Mujahideen-operated Stinger missile shot down the bomber.

Shortly after being shot down, several Russian helicopters began searching for the two-man crew of the downed aircraft. A unit of Mujahideen has also been dispatched to search for the two airmen. The fate of both the pilot and co-pilot is unknown at this point in time.

The SU-24 was designed by the Sukhoi design bureau in the late 1970's and first entered service in the mid-1980's. It is considered one of the most advanced long-range multi-purpose fighter-bombers in service with the Russian Air Force. Since the start of the war, the Mujahideen have shot down 18 fighter-bombers, most of which were SU-25, SU-24 and Mig-27 models. The Mujahideen have also downed 65 helicopters.

A Call To The Believers

OH MUSLIMS! THIS IS A CALL TO ALL OF YOU! OH MUSLIMS across the world, in the East and the West, fight the enemy in person and with your wealth! Fight the enemy with your supplications to Allah Most High that he may bestow victory upon your brothers who are oppressed in Chechnya!

During Ramadan, your prayers and supplications had a tremendous impact on the Mujahideen, whose morale was raised and whose determination was strengthened. YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPLICATIONS WERE CRITICAL IN DEFEATING THE ENEMIES OF ALLAH ON THE BATTLE FIELD; indeed the Mujahideen felt the power of your Dua on the battlefield as they switched from defensive strategies to offensive tactics, a move that lead to the decisive defeat of enemy forces on numerous occasions.

The war is not over however, and the heavy bombardment continues. WHY HAVE YOU STOPPED OR REDUCED YOUR DUA FOR THE MUJAHIDEEN? have you become exhausted by standing in the middle of the night and asking Allah to bestow His mercy and victory upon your brothers in Chechnya? Or were you impatient in seeking a speedy answer to your prayers? All Muslims should know that Allah will never tire from listening to your supplications and prayers. He will only stop listening to them when you stop raising your hands in Dua.

The Mujahideen and your brothers and sisters in Chechnya call upon you to join them in their battle against the enemies of Allah Most High; YOU CAN FIGHT THE ENEMY DIRECTLY BY MAKING CONTINUOUS DUA FOR YOUR BROTHERS, AND YOU WILL FEEL THE POWER OF YOUR DUA MANIFESTING ITSELF ON THE BATTLEFIELD. All Muslims are called upon to make Dua for the Mujahideen without pause until Allah bestows complete victory upon the Muslims in Chechnya. And may all of you, dear brothers and sisters be aware THAT YOUR DUA IS MORE POWERFUL THAN THE MOST SOPHISTICATED WEAPONS AND MIGHTIER THAN THE STRONGEST MILITARY MACHINES.

Defeat the weakness in yourselves, and make Dua for your brothers during the five obligatory prayers as well as during the night prayers, Witr and Qiyam. Make Dua that the Mujahideen are victorious, and that the harsh conditions faced by your brothers are quickly overcome. We are in a situation of difficulty that none other than Allah Most High knows about; enemy planes are bombing us from over our heads, and artillery rains shells at us without pause. SO GIVE GENEROUSLY BY MAKING DUA, FIGHT JIHAD THROUGH SUPPLICATIONS AND SUPPORT YOUR BROTHERS BY REMEMBERING THEM DURING YOUR PROSTRATION'S AND WHEN YOU ARE ALONE WITH ALLAH MOST HIGH. INDEED ALLAH DOES NOT WASTE THE REWARD OF ONE WHO DOES GOOD.

The commander of Mujahideen forces in the province of Urus Martan, Ramadan Ahmadov, has assured Muslims throughout the world that the Mujahideen are well. Commander Ahmadov answered a few quick questions during a conversation with a Qoqaz.net correspondent earlier today:

A Call to All Muslims

This is a call to all Muslims. To kings and presidents, to princes and ministers, to propagators and scholars, to imams and orators, to teachers and professors, to literary scholars and poets, to businessmen and the wealthy, to the directors of charity organizations, and to all those who seek the bounties of Allah..

May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon you all.

This is a call from your brothers in Chechnya; It is a call that looks to find a place in your conscience, it is not a call that should simply be heard and forgotten. It is a call that represents not only the cries of the oppressed and the appeals of those who have fallen under the yoke of tyranny, but a call that also reminds you of your faith and your religion.

We remind you of Allah’s rights and remind you of your rights before reminding you of our rights. It is Allah’s right that His slaves be loyal to Him:

" Verily, Allah has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allah's Cause, so they kill and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurat (Torah) and Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the Supreme Success. " [Quran 9:111]

You also have a right upon yourselves to strive and to give in every way possible when the Umma is going through times of need:

" Behold! You are those who are called to spend in the Cause of Allah, yet among you are some who are niggardly. And whoever is niggardly, it is only at the expense of his ownself. But Allah is Rich (Free of all wants) and you (mankind) are poor. And if you turn away (from Islam), He will exchange you for some other people, and they will not be your likes. " [Quran 47:38]

We too have rights that are incumbent upon you; For in our religion those who are tested and are in hardship have rights that are incumbent upon those who are in comfort: "Among the people are those who are in hardship and those who are in comfort; Have mercy upon those who are in hardship, and thank Allah for what he bestows in goodness."

Your responsibility towards us also includes maintaining the rights of all members of the brotherhood of Islam:

" The believers, men and women, are Auliya (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another..." [Quran 9: 71]

" The believers are nothing else than brothers..." [Quran 49: 10]

The prophet (pbuh) said: "A Muslim is the brother of every other Muslim; he does not do him wrong and does not abandon him. Whomsoever comes to the aid of his brother at the time of need, Allah will aid him at at his time of need. Whosoever lifts a burden off of his brother, Allah will remove from upon him a burden from the (many) burdens of the day of judgment."

The Prophet has also said: "Be (amongst each other) slaves of Allah and brothers; A Muslim is the brother of every other Muslim; he does not do him wrong, does not look down upon him and does not let him down."

To All Leaders of the Islamic World:

You are responsible for protecting your religion and giving it glory! Are you not angered by the vicious attacks against Islam? have you forgotten about the sanctity of Allah’s religion and the sacredness of Muslim lives? Do you have not even the slightest gallantry and zeal of the great caliph Al Mu’tasim who invaded Byzantium in order to avenge a single Muslim woman who was insulted by a Byzantine soldier?

And what of our Islamic Scholars?

What answer do you give us from the many textbooks on jurisprudence that you have memorized and that you have taught to your students? We remind you to take example in the companion Abu Talha Al Ansari, who read Allah’s words: "Rise (to battle) Light and Heavy, Young and Old" and without hesitating ordered his sons: 'Prepare me for battle! Prepare me for battle!." Take example also in Abd Allah Ibn Al-Mubarak who recited the following verses:

Oh Worshipper in the two holy sites,
if you saw us (in battle) you would know that your worship is (as testing) as child’s play!!
If thoust moisten your cheeks with tears (of worship) Then we drench our spirits with (the) blood (of worship)!!

And what of the Umma’s Poets, Literary Scholars and Spin Doctors?

Remember your Umma that has been shredded piece by piece by its enemies! Remember the fact that your Umma is lost in an ocean of deceit created by media and news organizations that deliberately misguide in order to shatter the morale of our brothers and sisters around the world! True indeed are the words of the poet:

If they knew the truth they would hide it
If they knew of evil they would beautify and trumpet it
And if they knew nothing at all they would lie

If they hear a curse they would jump in joy
If they heard goodness they would hasten to bury it
Deaf are they when goodness is spoken
Attentive are they when evil is spoken.

We call upon you to shake this Umma out of its slumber and to remove the blindfold that has blinded its sight and its ability to see and respond to the bleeding wounds of Muslims everywhere. Indeed, If this Umma is not your responsibility, then whose responsibility is it!?

To those of you whom Allah has tested with wealth, those of you who seek lucrative contracts and good business deals, we present to you the most lucrative contract and the best business deal! Remember that if you do not spend your wealth today, then your wealth will one day part with you. Take heed of Allah’s command:

" Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend of that whereof He has made you trustees. And such of you as believe and spend (in Allah's Way) - theirs will be a great reward." [Quran 57:8]

" And what is the matter with you that you spend not in the cause of Allah? And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquering (of Makkah) (with those among you who did so later). Such are higher in degree than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to all, Allah has promised the best (reward). And Allah is All-Aware of what you do. " [Quran 57:10]

" Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan so that He may Multiply it to him many times? And it is Allah that decreases or increases (your provisions), and unto Him you shall return. " [Quran 2:245]

To those of you who live in comfort and security, those of you who sleep on comfortable beds in tranquil rooms with your family members and your children, remember the hardships that your brothers in Chechnya are going through. Remember the Mujahideen who are living on snow-covered mountains, and who live under a storm of rockets and weapons of mass destruction. Remember their steadfastness and their bravery in the face of hardship.

Remember their perseverance and their crushing victories over a vengeful enemy, for your brothers fight for none other than your religion of Islam, and for the dignity of your Umma. The entire world stands against your brothers - do not let your brothers down in this difficult situation and remember the words of Abd Allah Ibn Amr to those who let down the Prophet (pbuh) on the day of Uhud: "Oh people! I remind you of Allah! Do not let down your people and your prophet in the face of your enemy! They replied: ‘If we knew that a fight is imminent we would not abandon you. But we see that there will be no fighting.’ In face of this intransigence, Abd Allah said: ‘May Allah distance you from His enemies, for He will suffice for His messenger!."

As a result of this situation Allah Most High revealed the verse:

" And what you suffered (of the disaster) on the day (of the battle of Uhud when) the two armies met, was by the leave of Allah, in order that He might test the believers. And that He might test the hypocrites, it was said to them: " Come, fight in the way of Allah or (at least) defend yourselves." They said: " Had we known that fighting will take place, we would certainly have followed you. " They were that day, nearer to disbelief than faith. " [Quran 3:167]

Remember the refugees and the orphans and the elderly, and remember the saying of the Prophet (pbuh) "Believers are for one another as a brick wall that holds itself together." and "The example of believers in their bonds of love and closeness is that of a body; if one part of the body falls ill, then all of the body remains awake throughout the night."

Be aware that what has befallen your brothers and sisters in Chechnya may come to you as well. And, take heed of the warning from Allah:

" And what is wrong with you that you fight not in the Cause of Allah, and for those weak, ill-treated and oppressed among men, women and children, whose cry is "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from You one who will protect, and raise for us from You one who will help. " [Quran 4:75]

To our noble sisters who unify the ranks of the Umma, we remind you of the life of difficulty that your sisters in Chechnya go through; They live in the midst of death and destruction, and under the governance of an enemy who is barbaric, backwards and hateful. Uncertainty is great for the possibility of rape and torture is never far away.

Oh Muslims! Our Umma is one body, if one part of the body is injured or weak, then the whole body is injured and weak. Not recognizing this bond signals the emptiness of your spirits of faith! Such is the attitude of the man who makes supplication to Allah, but claims that his supplication is to protect his country from disaster. And when disaster befalls his country he claims that his supplication is to protect his city. And when the disaster befalls his city he claims his supplication is to protect his home. Such that this faithless person says: "Allah has bestowed his bounty upon me by not letting me die with them."

IMAM AL-BUKHAARI
Islamic Personality and Biography

Muhammad ibn Isma`il ibn alMughira alBukhaari
also known as

al`Allamah alImaam alMuhaddith Muhammad alBukhaari

Background:

Born in the year 194 AH (810 AD) in Shawwal 13, he was brought up in an area known as Bukhaara in the territory of Khurasaan in West Turkistaan. When he was a young child, he was struck with tragedy by the death of his father. This would not stop the high expectations that his mother had for him, so she took him from their homeland all the way to Makkah when he was 16 years old. By the age of ten, he had already began to study the sciences of hadith. After spending two years in Makkah and four years in Madinah, he went to `Iraaq, where he was to later meet and become a student of the Imaam of Ahl us-Sunna walJama`ah, Ahmad ibn Hanbal.

While in `Iraaq, he would spend time in places such as Basra, Kufa and Baghdaad, which were major centres of learning. He was to later go on to Egypt and Syria to continue his studies and learn the religion with even more enthusiasm.  The Imaam, in collecting the 7,275 hadith that now stand in his hadith collection entitled Sahih alBukhaari, went through many tests and trials in order to check the accuracy of hadith. Shaikh alBukhaari had mastered the sciences of alJarh wat-Ta`dil (Criticism and scrutinising the texts of hadith or people) in addition to being an exemplery scholar in the realm of `Ilm ur-Rijaal (Knowledge of Men in the narration of a hadith).

Al`Allamah alBukhaari collected 300,000 hadith and would memorise 200,000 of them, with the full chain of narration and all of the text. Whenever he would check the accuracy of a hadith and decide on entering it into his book of hadith, he would make wudu and offer a two raka` prayer. It is known that many scholars (including deviant ones today) have tried to find fault with this remarkable collection that he put together, but they have not been able to do it. This is precisely why the great scholars have agreed unanimously that it is the most authentic book after the Book of Allah.

Not long after this great achievement, Shaikh alBukhaari would die in the year 256 AH (870 AD), on Shawwal the first. He would be buried in the village of Khartank, in a village adjacent to Samarkand. May Allah reward the humble Muhaddith for all the work that he has put forward, Amin. 

Contemporaries:

Muhammad alBukhaari would meet and come to know of many great men in his time, such as the famous tabi`ii Sufyaan ath-Thawri in the city of Kufa. He would also make the acquaintance of Imaam Muslim, the author of Sahih Muslim, as well as coming to know of Ahmad ibn Hanbal and Abu Hanifa. The Shaikh in addition to this would come to know many Sahaaba in `Iraaq and continue to increase in knowledge while studying on in Egypt. Other great contemporaries would include al-Laith ibn S`ad, the great scholar of Egypt, Imaam at-Tahaawi (the author of al`Aqidat ut-Tahaawiyyah), originally from Taha in southern Egypt. He would also live in the same time when Imaam Shafi`ii was doing his study circles, along with Imaam Maalik, who taught exclusively from Madinah in the Arabian Peninsula.

If there was any time period to be envious to live in, it would be this one. There were still so many Sahaaba, their students and the four Imaams living. You could come to know them, attend their classes and even ask them questions. Now we can only imagine how it must have been to sit in their presence and to have them smile at us.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Is Forced Marriage Islamic?

Question: Is forced marriage Islamically permissible?

Answer: Forced marriage is completely impermissible. The reason for this is the statement is that it is not known at all from the annals of Islamic history that such a thing was ever done. The other fact is that the Prophet r has said, 'Any woman that is married without the permission of her wali, then the marriage is false. ' He said in another hadith, 'There is no marriage of a virgin, until her permission is taken.' In all such other instances that the Prophet r has not sanctioned, we quote another statement from him, 'He who introduces something into our matter which is not to be, it is rejected.' Thus practices such as these must be rejected and shown to be unacceptable to the Islamic way and in the sight of Allah (SWT) and His Messenger (sw).

Question: I would like to make Hijrah but I am afraid that the kuffar will come in and rape and torture us. I feel the need to have weapons and help the Mujaahidin. It is possible for a Muslim sister to be up in the mountains with the Mujaahidin?

Answer: Indeed, the sisters may help the Mujaahidin, but it must be in ways that are Islamically permissible. There are training camps that have been put together by the sisters in Afghanistan and in Kashmir. There were even camps put together by the sisters in Bosnia that taught weapons training, close combat techniques and so on. But as far as women fighting along with men in all the same mountain passes and in all the same trenches, this is not the cause. Women must continue the fight in ways that are decent and Islamically sound.

Question: Explain how we can get to Afghanistan and also the difficulties we may face on our journey?

Answer: The struggles that will be faced by those interested in going to the Islamic state will be many. But these will not be struggles because of your Islam, but struggles from living in the lands of luxury. It will take those who have lived wealthy lives time to get used to the prospect of handwashing their clothes and living in mud houses with simplicity in arid weather. These struggles will come to us and purify us, but it will take time. Of course sisters will have to cover their face and their entire body in the Islamic state, and so long as they don't go against Islam or any of the principles of it or act lewd in public, they should be fine. The way to get to Afghanistan would of course be by going with a male relative or the husband who has established contacts with others in the country. Other than this, one would have to know a family personally to be able to get there.

Question: Is there electricity in Afghanistan?

Answer: In some areas there is electricity, but this is aided by the use of generators. In some areas, there is no electricity, but this does not mean that all is lost. There are many ways to utilise the daylight hours to your advantage and to sacrifice something as small as this for complete safety in the Islamic state is a small price to pay for a tranquil life under the Qur'an and the Sunna. For those who simply 'must have' electricity, there are some modern houses now that have these facilities, as well as washing machines and dishwashers, so that clothes don't have to be washed by hand. But again, one will not find a lot of luxury in the land of Afghanistan, but the safety that the country provides is worth the sacrifice.

Question: Can a woman train on the field in Afghanistan?

Answer: Women may train in Afghanistan, but it must be done within the Islamic framework. Women are not to go about without being accompanied by a male family member or their husband. The place of training must not have free mixing. The atmosphere should also be one where the people are qualified and the sisters receive the proper training according to the Qur'an and the Sunna, so as the proper intention stays in place.

Question: You have mentioned that Afghanistan is an Islamic country and that the Taliban are very good Muslims. But on a recent news program, there was a woman wearing white salwar qamees and her head was covered. In spite of this, the Taliban came and threw acid all over her because she wasn't wearing black. So you tell me what type of Islam this is?

Answer: This is actually a mistake on the part of a person asking the question. The reported case did not actually happen in Afghanistan, but it happened in Pakistan. The woman was not fully covered, but only had a scarf going over her head. The next issue is saying that this was done because she was not wearing all black. Most of the women in Afghanistan (who veil themselves completely), do not wear black and when they see other sisters wearing black, it surprises them a bit. So how could the Taliban through acid on a woman for not wearing all black when most of the women there don't even wear all black? It is also a good time here to remind our brothers and sisters to also verify whatever news they get and not to believe every shout and holler that they hear. We should beware of backbiting our Muslim brothers and sisters in Islam and try to always give the benefit of the doubt when we hear of them being attacked in the news or elsewhere.

Question: Please explain the belief of the Taa'ifat ulHaakimah (the Group that is judging) in Afghanistan and their methodology. And once it is made clear of the truth of its beliefs, then could you please explain the two types of lands.

Answer: The belief of this group is that of Ahl us-Sunna walJama`ah, based on the rulings of the Hanafi madhhab in fiqh. Their manhaj is to revive the Sunna of the Messenger r and to follow his way strictly. As for the two types of lands, there are only two according to the scholars of Islam. One is called the land of kufr, where the population may be mostly Muslim with masaajid all over the place, but due to the fact that it is ruling by other than what Allah sent down, it is a land of kufr. This is the example of most of the Muslim lands today, no Shari`a, but plenty of Muslims. The land of Islam is one that might not have a single masjid at all, but because it is being ruled over by Islam, it is a land of Islam. This was the case with Egypt, when the 500 Sahaaba took it over. There was not one single masjid, yet it was an Islamic state. There is no third type of are. An area is either submitted to Allah, or submitted to someone else.

Question: Are we supposed to support the Taliban when they still haven't declared war on their neighbouring countries, e.g. Pakistan, Iran, etc.? There are also many rumours that women are ill treated in Afghanistan.

Answer: What we can say of the Taliban is that internally, they are completely in tact with regard to the Islamic Shari`a. However, externally, they have their problems. But these problems come from the fact that Muslims outside of Afghanistan aren't helping those inside this Islamic state as much as they should. Due to this fact, these brothers and sisters have to work on their own. But for many of their mistakes, Allah I has and will, with His will and pleasure, pardon them from their mistakes.

The Taliban are also trying to survive and consolidate their victories and put things in order. Really, it is our job to be declaring jihaad on these nations and assisting our brothers. We cannot always wait for them to do everything for us. We as well have to give something back to the Mujaahidin. With regard to the treatment of women, nothing could be further from the truth. Many women in the Islamic state have more money than the men and are constantly shopping and going about in the marketplace. Women are also immediately given the seats on buses that they board as a sign of respect. When the Taliban first came upon the scene in Afghanistan, there was a lot of cultural leftovers in the land. But these began to be criticised and now, for the most part, the brothers have eradicated it. The women used to be inherited by their brothers and their uncles, but now they have the right to choose who they want to marry and so on. The women couldn't own any property, but now they may do so. These types of rights weren't even realised by the Western woman until the turn of the century, but have always been the case in Islam.

So in this regard, the sisters of Afghanistan are in good hands and the dedicated brothers will not allow them to be abused. And may Allah I grant us all success in this life and the Hereafter.

BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID
Sincere Advice To The Believers

Dear Muslims:

The British government has established a consulate without your permission in the alHaramain. This decision was made by the Saudi government who are allowing non-believers to have their businesses in the Peninsula of Islam, which is wrongly called Saudi Arabia. As a part of a long awaited campaign to re-claim the Muslim lands by the Jews who have begun asking for Khybar, the West have recently started to push for peace accords in the Peninsula. As we have seen with Al-Quds and in Palestine, the Jews have used their western allies to gain access to Muslim lands under the banner of peace and equality.

Furthermore, Bin Baz and other Saudi sheikhs have passed fatwas allowing the armies of the disbelievers to establish a military "peace-keeping" presence in the Peninsula of Islam for the protection of non-Muslims for the first time since they were kicked out by Omar al-Khitaab (ra), the second Khalifa. And we must note that this action of Bin Baz and his helpers was beyond haram; it was an act of kufr.

As a result of this and many other anti-Islamic (kufr) activities taking place in the Peninsula of Islam, many Muslims have become confused. While land has been leased or sold to Jews in great masse. The Saudi government view the Muslim ummah as asleep, thus have recently within the past year allowed more visas for non-Muslims to invest in the Islamic peninsula.

The British governement used a Pakastani-born British nationale to represent them as they explained their need for a Consulate in the alHaramain. It is clear that this man, who gives himself the title "Lord" Ahmed, is not a Muslim. As Allah, the only Lord and Lawgiver, says "it is not right for a beleiver to come with their own opinion, once He and His Rasool (saw) have decided the matter." And the Rasoolullah said, "No two relgions can co-exist in the Holy Lands." This means that it is haram for the British consulate to be established in Makkah Mukkarahma. Mr. Ahmed and his British colleagues think to fool the Muslims in Great Britain. They think that you are ignorant and do not know your deen. They think that you are easily fooled.

The Saudi government and others are claiming that they represent your interests and are legislating on your behalf in order to please the Jews who want back the Peninsula of Islam. They are bent on using all means within their disposal in order to get back Al-Khybar, even the murder of innocent Muslims by the hands of other Muslims. They are lamenting in their haram at the expense of the Believers and using their paid scholars to issue fatwas and confuse the Ummah. They are are using new and ambiguous "anti-terrorism laws" and economic sanctions to prevent the Believers from exposing and preventing their evil plots.

O'Believers remember your convenant with Allah and lift your voices. You must have a say in this matter, otherwise the Holy Lands will face destruction in our lifetime. Many Muslims will die and the Holy Lands will look identical to brothels of London. See what is happening to Muslims in Iraq and know that this example is another act of terrorism that the newly Jewish-controlled Christian Crusaders are planning against you. It was not long ago that they slaughtered innocent Muslims, Jews and even Christians and soon were defeated by the Mujahideen. And now they are back to do it again!

We are asking that every mosque join us in a petition to the Saudi government that we will not be used in their haram and kufr activities. We ask that you join us in the Purification of Makkah and Madinah. Any mosque that does not join us, we ask that you at least sponsor some type of event to show your opposition and condmenation. Any mosque that does not show some type of contempt for the actions taken by the Saudi government must not interfere with the efforts of other Muslims who wish to do so.

We are trying to prevent to the destrcution of the Kabba in our lifetime and under our authority. We do not want to be asked on judgment day where was our objection. And we cannot prefer the punishment of our enemies over the punishment of Allah. We must obey Allah and hope for His Ta'ala's mercy, protection and help.
