August 29, 1903 Fine day - Set cabbage seed in garden - Picked 8 1/2 gal. strawberries today at farm - Late.
August 30, 1903 Sunday - Lovely day wind W - NE in evening - Mr. J---- taught Sunday School in afternoon Miss Dove being away.
August 31, 1903 Fair day - went to farm after tea & and stayed there all night.
September 1, 1903 Commenced raining about 8 this morning & continued all day - Missionary meeting held in night at Alexander Street Church - Centenary School opened today.
September 2, 1903 Dull & foggy.
September 3, 1903 Foggy in morning - went over South Side Hills before breakfast shooting. Shot Sparrow Hawk - Sent to Hobbies by Mail today for strawberry plants- express order $1.05 - went to farm after tea stayed all night. Mr. LeMessurier left by train this afternoon.
September 4, 1903 Splendid day windy - Bought piece of cloth in dry good this morning - Went down to Trapnells tonight after church - Lovely night.
September 5, 1903 Fine day - Bought watch tonight at -------
September 6, 1903 Sunday fine is morning - showers of rain & foggy in the evening - Went to farm after Sunday School.
September 7, 1903 Foggy in morning cleared off fine during day - rainy again at night - Went to Cape Spear shooting this morning - got two Curlew - W. Lemessurier [ possibly George William Lemessurier] & J. Stevenson got 2 each - ----- very well.
September 12, 1903 Father came out from country today - Driving past week - Miss Prowse escaped from Asylum - not found yet - Picked gooseberries 2 days ago & last of strawberries today.
September 13, 1903 Sunday - fine day - Brigade left this morning by train searching for Miss Prowse - she was found by Raly in morning
September 17, 1903 Arrived in night from shooting trip. Left Monday morning, September 14, 1903 & camped back of Learney's (?) - The first day got 3 partridges, the evening before got 1 Plover & 2 Curlew - Hot day, Wednesday got 11 partridge - The weather was fine and dry all the time.
September 17, 1903 Dog(?) very stiff & tired today - went to farm with Father digging potatoes.
September 18, 1903 Fine day & very warm - left for Rocky River shooting in morning - got one partridge - birds very scarce.
September 19, 1903 Fine day - went to farm with father all day digging ground for strawberry plants - Had swim at Captains - water very warm.
September 20, 1903 Sunday - Very fine day - exam held in Sunday School in afternoon -Epworth League conducted afternoon service in night.
September 21, 1903 Fine Day - Literary Meeting held by (Epworth) League tonight - topic "American Poets".
September 22, 1903 Wet - Burt off today for week - Cochrane Street (Church)Mission Band had missionary meeting in basement tonight.
September 23, 1903 Fine day, but cool - Went shooting this morning, got 1 bird near Duck Pond.
September 25, 1903 Fine day - Last night off before shops open in night - Father set 700 strawberry plants in new plot today - Went to church (George Street Methodist Church) in evening, Mr.(Rev. Charles Lench conducted service - Bought box of plums this afternoon.
September 27, 1903 Sunday - splendid day - Had sermon on Prodigal Son by Mr.(Rev. W.T.D.) Dunn in the evening.
September 28 , 1903 Fine day - Importers met this afternoon & decided to close shops for another week. Received receipt from Hobbies re: strawberry plants today.
September 30, 1903 Friday - Went shooting on Naddleton Hills this morning saw 2 partridge but did not get any.
