Here is a tip that I discovered. I purchased a 3/8" dual setting curling iron from beauty supply shop. Used on low setting I can curl my barbies hair. It does well on straightening out kinky hair like Butterfly Art's hair and I like that I have more control over the hair style than I do with a perm. I also don't have to worry about messing up a dolls face or rooted lashes when I wait till the last minute to do the hair on a OOAK. For a softer curl I use a little bit bigger size curling iron. I used a 5/8 in on the Runaway Bride!

Need to replace broken or missing rubber bands in hair?

Orthodontic bands are GREAT! Visit Krista's site to find the bands.
Or it could be time to visit your favorite orthontist! LOL! Smile! :) Kim H.

(I was told by Krista she will have the bands again in April) Rhonda

Cleaning Dolls: Soak in warm soapy water using mild dish soap - scrub away with a soft washcloth. Use a q-tip gently on their faces.

Other things you should know

Why all those Barbies marked 1966 aren't from 1966! That is the copyright date for the mold! NOT the year the doll was made. Karen

Variations on dolls, outfits & boxes are COMMON! Mattel does this so often it's hard to keep up! The thing you need to know is that the mistakes are not pulled so MANY of them are sold and most are NOT rare! Including the Butterfly Art Barbie which was a voluntary recall. Which means although Mattel stopped putting the dolls out with the tattoos for the girls to use there are still plenty around. Karen let us in on this tip :)

I found my BA on Amazon.com for under $3.00 ToysRus has them for $5.99 and kbkids.com has them online for $5.95 Rhonda
