WHITE BUFFALO CALF WOMAN
She first revealed herself to two hunters of the plains people. At her request she was taken to a local village where she gave the seven sacred ceremonies, the sacred bundle and the pipe. When her task was accomplished, she vowed to return one day. Then she walked to the edge of the village, rolled over four times, and became a white buffalo calf.
